I have to say just how impressive this generation of the Grand Cherokee truly is. The MSRP seems just about right for all that you get with this particular trim level. I'm also impressed with the passenger side infotainment setup! It's about time! The other thing that I like is that Jeep resisted the temptation of adding more brightwork/chrome accents to those areas that show off that very nice brushed silver, especially on the mirror caps. If I were in the market for an SUV, this one would certainly be on my shortlist. You couldn't have picked a more appropriate location to film this review either. I love that Moab area, too.

Further, the 5.7 is no longer available on the Limited, meaning going up a trim level to get it. You'll be close to $60K just get a sluggish V8. On top of that, the destination charge is an outrageous $1800! (It was a profitable $1100 in '18.)

A key issue with the gloss black on interiors is it really shows up dust acutely so you’ll need the soft under-hide of the small T-Rex you found dead out in the desert (maybe its dried tongue) to wipe it down frequently. The gloss black is a dust magnifier. Even if the car is stored in a NASA hermetically sealed bunker for weeks you’ll get in and the gloss black will have dust on it. Also of course these days the screens need wiping regularly too for fingerprints. (I own a new Jeep and overall love it.)

I agree. My wife's 2021 Mercedes has tons of gloss black, fingerprint and dust magnet. My 2019 High Altitude JGC doesn't have any, looks clean almost always.

I’m from England, had a brand new jeep Cherokee back in 2015 , don’t get me wrong it was a beautiful car but right off the bat I had nothing but electrical issues with it , to the point every time I changed gear as it was a manual, it was cutting through the wiring loom, why would jeep put all the electrical wires under the gearbox ??????? In the end it was that much trouble I sent it back to jeep as not fit for purpose, since then I’ve gone to Land Rover, and now I have the Range Rover velar , never had an issue and it’s a beautiful motor . Would have moved from the Cherokee to the grand Cherokee if it wasn’t so unreliable back then , now I wouldn’t swap Range Rover for the earth……..
