  • For decades, the #JeepGrandCherokee has been the brand’s best-selling model with over 200,000 units sold every year. The current #GrandCherokee has been around since 2010 and because a new version doesn’t come along very often, ‪@Jeep‬ brought us to Moab, Utah to see what the off-road ready #GrandCherokeeTrailhawk can do. For now, only the V6 and V8 powertrains are available, but early next year you’ll be able to choose the first ever PHEV #GrandCherokee4xe.

    Yup. The 2-row Grand Cherokee is finally all-new for 2022 after 12 years of the old model being on sale! Jeep consistently sells over 200,000 units every year in America making this the best-selling Jeep in the USA. We start our drive in the luxury Summit Reserve and end up in the off-road ready Trailhawk. Sadly, we won't be driving the 4xe and V8 until later.

      Hmm, I'm wondering where that "Legal Disclaimer" screen is. The aka 'by hitting OK, you can't sue Jeep' - where's that screen? Most likely disabled for the press.

      There are all kinds of things missing that might have/should have been there but have disappeared due to chip shortages. Heck - current overlands have the air suspension deleted and auto hold has disappeared. The configurator no longer shows you the :art of possible" - according to the jeep website, you can no longer spec a limited with front view camera and cooled seats.

    ALMOST PERFECT!!! Bi Turbo that V6 Pentastar (Chrysler won’t let that engine go…lol) ad the 17.3kWh battery from the Wrangler 4xe and you have a home run. Easily will complete with my BMW and the X5 45e. Just putting the 2.0 Turbo 4 cylinder with the 17.3kWh package from the Wrangler would work, but to do it right, especially wit the extra 700+ pounds the Cherokee has on the Wrangler, the six is the way to go. Beautiful vehicle, another honest and great review.

    The Grand Cherokee looks good as hell. For $67,000 this Summit Reserve is absolutely gorgeous but overpriced for a Jeep. They certainly implemented some technology upgrades to their interiors which were much needed, and looks that off-road capabilities haven’t decreased. I’m just not sure after waiting 10 years consumers should have to pay this high of premium to have these long over-due updates. The passenger display screen is cool. Love the design of the new GC.

      Fully agree, it’s way overpriced. When Jeep just introduced the GC on their webpage the prices were reasonable, then they deleted the prices and a few weeks later increased it by $5-10k across the versions. I like what they did but at these prices have a hard time justifying to myself. There are just other very nice real luxury vehicles with better engines available for the price.

      @HT Enthusiast I don't think it's over priced, if anything it's UNDERpriced. I mean, ventilated REAR seats, animal/human detecting night vision, Level 2 self-driving, McIntosh stereo, air suspension, lowrange transfer case, a killer 4×4 system, the rearview works as a screen that displays from a camera on the backend, those "palermo" leather seats are incredibly plush, AND to finish it off the seats are massaging. Not to mention it has Hemi power that lets you pull 7,200lbs.

    • @psychologicaltirefire8190
      @psychologicaltirefire8190 2 года назад

    Huge fan of your channel and been watching since forever! In the market for this vehicle and can’t wait to purchase! Do you think there will be a SRT version?! And should I trade my Honda Passport for this vehicle or the Acura MDX type S?

      If you trade your Passport for a MDX Type-S you basically trading for another Honda. Now If you want something totally different and a American icon. You'll trade for the Grand Cherokee 😊

      @@Natethegreat200c OK Goodluck finding a 2022 SRT Cherokee with the auto industry discontinuing making high performance V8s 10s and 12s. Now everybody are using high performance V6s tubos 4 cylinders and electric hybrid performance engines. SRT had to dismantle for financial purposes as well.

    It's never been a reliable vehicle, but this update looks great.
    I like that it has a touchscreen, physical HVAC controls, and a real volume knob. Simple is better!

      I've had 2 Grand Cherokees from 2004 till now with no issues. Unfortunately my next car is not going to be one as I've seen what that center console looks like after 2 weeks use. :(

    The non L has a 2 row or 3 row option on the Jeep builder on the website but no reviewers seem to say anything about that, they just keep saying the L is 3 row and the non L is the 2 row but the website says something completely different! How come?

    Stellantis announced there won’t be a trackhawk version of this gen. That sucks. At least Cadillac is working on a V series Escalade so we’ll have that.

      @OMGWTFLOL I'd either do a 5.7 Hemi Overland with offroad pack or a 4×E Overland with offroad pack. I couldn't just do the standard V6.
