    Just offer the house owner a print of the image, will work wonders. You can charm the birds out of the tree I'm sure.

    A couple of times I've wanted to enter somebody's garden to get the shot I wanted...so I knocked at the door and asked...then before they can say. 'No...now bugger off'. I've offered them a free 6 x 8 ( colour print ) which I would be able to print at work...since I managed the lab....or an 8 x 10 black and white that I could print up at home...usually worked :-)

    Have you thought about shooting in medium format? I just bought a digital Hasselblad to shoot medium-format long exposures.

      I’m not sure what the benefits are. My file sizes on my 50mp sensor are already way bigger than I need.

    Beautiful shots, I love minimalistic stuff. Also love watching you set up the camera, I have the 5D mk4 and the 7D mk2, and I find it so much more relatable. I'd like the 5DRS one day. But I probably dont need it lol.

    Geat images Gary and thanks for showing process and camers settings, these very helpful
    ps. starting on having a go at some panoramas and just watched one from you a couple of years ago, again you showed the process in simple to understand terms.
    I need to get a tripod leveling head first as mine hasnt got one built in.
    (you must have some patience from reading some comments on the pano video re nodal points and parallax errors, even after you explained the reasoning and methods several times).
    Thanks again for inspiring.

    Gary, as usual, nice video. I’m trying to emulate your style but not sure how do you remove the background and blend the water into the sky. I know that I’ve seen one editing tutorial on your channel but I seem to fail to find it. I appreciate if you can help..

    Lovely images. I can’t help but wonder if the first image lends itself more towards portrait as opposed to landscape? Did you try that composition?

      Hi Nick, I kept the shine on the water because that was the look I was going for. A dark surface on the water just wouldn't have worked. Cheers👍👍

    If you had taken down the address of the house, you could have sent them a small print of the photo you had taken from the garden, I'm sure they would have been very great full and appreciate that nice gesture, just a thought.

    I honestly believe the right thing to do would have been to ask for permission to access the property. You justified trespassing in your own mind. Really not something to advocate in a video.
