    The photo at 4:55 with the “flames” at the bottom of the image is GREAT! Both photos at 9:25 are excellent, but if I had to choose I would pick the vertical one. I love the way the “flames” jump into the green in the upper left corner of the shot. And then the backlit photos towards the end are beautiful. You prove yet again that you have a magically artistic eye. Thank you, Michael.

    I liked both the horizontal and vertical, but my favorite was the vertical shot with the rocks in the background.... and I really loved the backlit shots at about the 12:45 mark. Those colors against the dark background really popped!

    Michael, stunning images! I spent nine days in Acadia to outstanding colors. My first time photographing autumn scenes under both moonlit skies and predawn sunlight. A fox came close to me one morning in the dark trying to scare me his or her barking;. Also, a few owls calling in the still darkness. The wildlife sounds adds to the experience.

    I love these episodes. Super chill and the quality of the pictures is excellent... not to forget the episode itself 👍🏻 it is really hard to decide but i prefer the vertical shot more because of that extra layer... but i guess the horizontal would also look also printed or as a background on a big nice screen 👌🏻😉

  • @jeffpotter7958

    Enjoyed the video and agree that shooting Fall colors in CA is challenging. The Eastern Sierras are beautiful and a pleasant surprise for those who spend most of their time on the Western slopes. There are many resources on the web that are helpful when planning photography in the Eastern Sierras during the Fall and planning ahead helps to find some of the more interesting locations that are in color during your visit.

    9:26 while both are good. I personally like the horizontal shot since it eliminates the out of contrast grayish color of the rocks and keeps it more balanced, but that's just my opinion. Thanks for the ride along, Michael . Looking out for your future endeavors.

    Wonderful Michael! The Eastern Sierra is truly magical. I just returned from a trip to the Canadian Maritime provinces, and while there was lots of color (near peak), those rolling hills just can't compete with the rugged beauty of the eastern Sierra. IMO of course. I try to get up there every year, this time of year if I can.

    Nice compositions of the Aspens! I like the back-lite ones the most. I ended up capturing mostly Aspens compositions this past September - October because it was pretty much cloudless for the 2 weeks I was in SW Colorado. However, I have been in the pursuit of finding a nice grove of Aspens for the last few years and this year I think I’ve come away with one large panorama that I really like. I did a test print of the pano and I’m really pleased with the results, so it just a matter of how big the final print will be.

    I liked the vertical one. Why? I like the triangle of the green tree 🌲. Then the triangle 🔺️ of orange and yellows. Then you have the upside down triangle of blue rocks to bring my eyes back down into the seen. I was thinking the same about the picture with the orange trees in the bottom looked like fire on the bottom going up into the yellow leaves then the green in background great color contrast.

  • @AgillexUK
    @AgillexUK Месяц назад

    I think the portrait image with the shape of the green fir tree reflected by the arrangement of the trees in fall colour. Maybe possible to crop in to the repeating shapes if you feel the rocks add too much texture or confusion?

    Lovely video. Both photos are great. I preferer the vertical crop. I am not a great lover of the 6 by 4 crop as I find them to 'long'. To me a 4 by 3 crop or a crop that removed a bit of the grey mountain would work better.

  • @KaosK9
    @KaosK9 Месяц назад

    Thanks for the great video. In regard to the 2 images, initially I liked the vertical mag with the way the rear color mimics the shape of the foreground evergreen. That changed when I saw the horizontal image. While I liked the color of the rocks in the vertical image, the horizontal image just seemed a bit more simplified and I found it more pleasing to the eye. Perhaps a tighter crop on the vertical would do it but may loose the open feel. Either way, both are images I would have loved to take. Thank you for the experience!
