What a great video Michael! I love how you focused on details and more abstract, and not only on vistas shots. Every time when I do it in an epic location, people give me some weird looks... Good to know there are more of us, so I will definitely continue. And the shots of the waterfall with the rainbow... OMG! EPIC!!

Beautiful cinematic footage. We tend to get pressured to focus on the wide angle grand landscapes in a place like Iceland because that's what we see others doing. It's nice that you've shown us the intimate wonders of Iceland in places one would seldom notice. I wouldn't have thought to photograph abstract details when I'm hyper focused on getting "the shot" that I previsualized, if you know what I mean. Exploration is so much more enjoyable with an open mind.
This is so amazing to me because you captured such unique images that I have personally never seen before ! I will definitely be trying out the close up repeating pattern approach! Amazing video as usual makes me wanna go out and shoot :)

Wow Michael! These are a whole new set of places and subject that I’ve never seen before. And you’ve done a great job of photographing them. There is a video clip near the end that I want to try as a still - water flowing over the edge of a fall with luminous green under the crystal water.

The photos of the braided river are stunning but I just love that photo you've already posted of the diagonal dappled light on the single hill and the dark foreground to give contrast.

I have seen many Iceland images and it has become almost cliched. Congratulations on bringing a fresh eye to and powerful and beautiful images of a place many people thought they knew from numerous other Icelandic images and had dismissed. It actually encourages me to think I would like to go there which I had not felt before I saw your pictures.
