Your are a amazing photographer, Jacks interview was brilliant and yes he is a amazing photographer too! but the most touching words had nothing to do with photography and they were, those amazing guys up there...the sound, it's the sound of freedom if it was not for them I could not do this...Thank you Gary for a wonderful blog. I enjoyed that.
Love the interview. I am a manufacturing engineer / property manager of 22 rental properties near Cleveland, Ohio. Photography is my happy place. It is my creative release that has brought me a little money here and there. In addition I. have 2 kids (1 in college) and a Wife. You have to love having a spouse who give you the time to get out for a day or two and support your craft. Keep up the great work. Never lose that joy of shooting in the moment.
I remember the last time I had my groin photographed, it was not a happy experience 😒 Oh, groyne...sorry 😏 Great words about those who do what they do up there that enables us to do what we do in our life 👍
Love both yours and Jacks photo's, I find them very inspiring and am trying to achieve similar reults. Something Jack said in his interview resonated with me, when he talked about his level of confidence around whether he thought his images were good enough and also the fact that he is very self critical, I am exactly the same! Anyway keep up the good work, landscapes and fast jets are strange bedfellows, but it works for me. Thank you.
I’m Jack, without the beard 😂 exactly the same position, would dearly love photography to be my full time job but you have to know what brings the bacon home and that is what I have done for the last 42 years. Photography is my escape from the normal, I enjoy it enormously, have a very supportive and encouraging wife but trying to make a living from it would probably spoil it 😉 roll on retirement and the chance to devote more time to it 📷👍
Brilliant Gary, and nice to see Jack, I love both of your work, its the type id like to get recognised in the society's with need to keep travelling and take more composed images
Loved this video Gary you,ve a job as a tv host when you hang up your camera 🙂 ! I loved the waves crashing in the early segment and those zig zag groins ! fairplay for staying true to you great shots ! Thank you for introducing Jack a lovely humble, honest conversation.
Great video again Gary, fantastic photos. Jack seems like a decent fella I'll have to check out his work. 2 very humble blokes just enjoying what they do hobby or work 👍
Amazing photo's Gary. You are indeed an inspiration to all amateurs because you inspire confidence to keep trying. I know that without you and a few other professionals on RUclips, I would have given up, especially as I'm now in my seventies and sunrise and sunsets are not always possible due to family commitments/health/reduced income. I watched a four year old video you made on the Isle of Skye, which encouraged me to visit Scotland and especially Skye last year, and after rewatching that video recently, have booked another visit for next year. Thank you, thank you, thank you, keep up the good work.
Another great video Gary. You captured some fantastic image's as usual. It was a really good interview with Jack and i thought his image's were brilliant.
Fantastic images this week Gary and likewise been following Jack's work for while as he is an extremely talented individual producing exceptional images
Just found your channel and your work here is really inspiring me out of a creative block! Thank you and keep on the good work, is reaching even here on Brazil!!
Agree with Jack that Norfolk can be quite challenging for photography. Whilst there's lot to photograph it doesn't always have that instant dramatic composition that you perhaps more easily find amongst the hills and fells. Think it means that often you opt for a minimalist fine art approach as a default 'go to'. Luckily living in Norfolk I love that style of photography but it must be a real challenge for Norfolk photographers who don't like fine art photography and who strive to capture something which is equally compelling.
I enjoyed every second of this episode Gary !! You’ll be giving me a run for my money with your interviewing skills !! Great questions and loved Jacks Answers That wave action at the beginning was immense and the shots you bagged were stunning !! Bravo buddy
Gary, I'm following you since, I don't know! Just FYI, you got a dust spot , right top on your shots. Long exp shots always got such issues due to longer exposure, small aparture, etc. Sometimes in my case, so many I get tired removing them at post (LrCC).
Thank you, Gary for the video. I'm really passionate about long exposure photography, but I'm facing some challenges with sharpness. Most of my long exposure photos taken with an ND filter are not perfectly sharp with the same setting.
fantastic set of videos from Norfolk places I go to a lot - it would great to see your editing progess your images are very good and your editing something else i also follow jack
Great video, thanks for introducing me to Jack. I wanted to ask about your conversion to black and white process and how you maintain a similar look and feel to your five art images I definitely struggle with that Cheers Andy
Hi Gary…loving your videos…..you mentioned at the beginning that removing the tall post etc from the groyne would be difficult……have you tried Generative Fill in Photoshop Beta…it’s bread and butter for that tool…probably best to do it in two parts due the current low res limitation
Bring tools next time, so you can remove the pole for the shooting, and put it back up after 😅 this is kind of the weather we have at the moment. But I only have a 15 stop filter and tele lens 😬 impossible to use in the wind 😬
If either of yous are “up north” give me a shout if am off work (work 4 on 4 off rota) al happily give you a tour asa keen amateur photographer I know all the well know locations 👍 PS all I will charge is a coffee from Greg’s another great local place 👍
People I hear questioning why we need armed forces and why we put so much money into it. I give them "the look" and say two words. Our freedom. Amazing people, every one of you, thank you.
I like jack he’s a good bloke and was drawn to him because his photography is right up my street.
Cheers David 👍👍
@@GaryGough Awesome work. How did you get that smooth, creamy water? Is it just long exposure or did it in post?
Gary gough your so genuine straight to the point and a great teacher as well as inspirational thankyou
Am enjoyable interview Gary. I like that you did it in an outdoor location👍

I was Hasselblading in Happisburgh only last week. There’s a thriving little community of artists living on what remains of the coastline at Cart Gap.
Great episode. Jack's work truly is amazing. Also, Gary, when I close my eyes and hear you talk... I see Liam Neesan in my mind's eye!

Keep it simple is the answer 👍👍 Cheers
@GaryGough Awesome work. How did you get that smooth, creamy water? Is it just long exposure or did it in post?
Welcome to the channel. Simply a long exposure. I have lots of videos on this technique. Cheers 👍👍

At the 10:41 mark, what is the item sitting in your hot shoe? Sorry for being dense.
Looks like it's a piece of equipment called arsenol.
