    What do you recommend checking if I don’t have any power at positive when checking the starter solenoid. Engine turns over manually Ariens 52, 13 hours

      If it's turning over remove air cleaner and give it a shot of flammable brake cleaner or carburetor cleaner. If it runs and dies it's a fuel issue.

    I have the same issue on my Graverly ZT34 zero turn, this video has given me a lot of info on what to check. Can I use a volt meter instead of a test light? Also is there a way to disengage the hydraulics on the drive motors so I can push my mower from the front yard to my shop?

      @RaleysSmallEngines I used to believe in interstate batteries. Not so much now.
      And I used to put Optima batteries in all of my vehicles. Then they started making them in Mexico. Junk.

    • @RaleysSmallEngines
      @RaleysSmallEngines  3 месяца назад +2

      @james1795 the case is made in one place, the internals somewhere else, so they told me. In 8 years selling Interstate I've never had to warranty one. I do agree, nothing is made like it use to be.

    Question:I tested the two prongs that go into the solenoid. Only my ground is lighting, the power side will not light-up. What would cause that?

    • @RaleysSmallEngines
      @RaleysSmallEngines  3 месяца назад +1

      1st check fuse. 2nd Check for power to ignition switch ( terminal marked B for battery). No power trace backwards towards battery. 3rd if power on "B" on ignition switch put test light on "S" terminal (parking brake set and turn key to full start position) if no power possible bad ignition switch. Please don't guess and just replace parts. Test out the problem. Thanks so much for watching and commenting. We also have videos on testing almost everything, check out our 2 Just Clicks videos.

      @@RaleysSmallEngines I appreciate the quick response earlier. My issue was i was not turning the key at the same time. So there is power to the solenoid. It still is not turning over. I have been working on this issue off and on for a year. Now its summer ( I teach) I have some time. I have already changed the starter before. The ignition switch has continuity on all things except for the lights ( but this model did not come with lights, so i expect that is the reason). I have only located one fuse so far.
