Yes Rob, you are so right. It is very important that those rafters are reinforced and/or brace added to distribute the weight evenly throughout the ceiling mount for safety. We have both because there used to be a chain fall installed for pulling V8s out of race cars back in the 1970s. 🏎️ Safety first 🙂
Mrs. T-bine sure got that editing thing down making this guy look so good 😆🙂🤩 Seriously Mr. Raley I wouldn't miss a video and if I did I'll get back to it for sure nice job sir !!!
I've watched countless videos trying to find one that would help solve my mower problem, then I found this guy. He is by far the best ! Not only shows how it's done but he's entertaining as well... On a side note, if Hollywood ever did a remake of The Wizard of Oz, here's the guy to play the Lion. A little bit of makeup, done!
I have a folder in my browser bookmarks for Specialists. Your channel is the one I have for zero turns. If I ever get one to work on I already know where to go. 👍
Awesome video, I hate to keep saying but you would make a great instructor for a shop class on outdoor equipment! Keep them coming, I can't speak for the rest watching but i did not want to blink cause I would miss something.
Perfect video. I have this exact job to do. My RZ4623 is 11 years old and she needs a little TLC these days. New carb last year, new spindles next week. THANK YOU T-Bone
If you’re really OCD like me, make three registration marks for the idler belt keeper - one on top and one on either side. Otherwise, parallax view could alter how well you align the keeper when reinstalling. Just sayin’, y’all! 😉👍
One thing is that there is s spacer on top of spindle between bearing and pulley. It keeps pulley from being pulled into spindle assembly. Also i never use an impact wrench on blade or spindle drive bolts. The impact wrench could cause the blade cut you. At least wrap the blade with rag and use ratchet or block blade with piece of wood. It is important to line up the star on blade when reinstalling the blade. You can tighten the blade and mess up stars alignment on spindle. I like the lift and cart. Most of time i use my tractor front end loader to service mine. My mower has been used so much and deck welded on and rebuilt. I would not remember the number of times. I have even had frame break by foot plate. The square tubing the frame is made of is pretty thin like deck.
So, I’m putting a little trailer for the lawn tractor together, drop a nut off the bolt and said “get back on there” I think Im watching to many of your videos! 🤣
Awesome video and great information, cuz!! I love how you can take the decks off with ease!! Are all Zero turns like that? We still have not gotten a Zero yet but maybe next season or end of this one!! Still looking for recommendations for 3 acres of cut in a residential zero!! Thanks, pal!!
Thanks cuz. Unfortunately they are not all that easy. Tough question about a zero turn. I would make sure to get one with a commercial deck and a Kawasaki engine.
hi tbone I have a toro proline 44 I'm hoping you can help me to find parts for it I have checked around on parts tree and other sites but no one seems to have the parts I'm looking for which are the air cover ,bolts for the ait cleaner and air filters. thank you for your help and keep the great videos coming.
One thing on the idler pulley, if you can take the pulley apart, the bearing is a 6203 . I have drilled out the rivets replace the bearing and use4 bolts and nuts to put back together. Much cheaper than new idler pulleys.
I have a problem with my Husqvarna zero turn 48". After mowing for about an hour the left side starts to slip and will not go forward, any advice? I already changed the drive belt, thanks for the video that was very easy
I'm looking at this video a second time because I have to change out some pulleys and spindles. Do aftermarket spindles work well on mowers(they are cheaper)? Were Rotary spindles already predrilled?
I'm working on the deck of a zero turn Husqvarna 46 inch deck. I've put the belt on just like that. But the belt keeps jumping off every time I turn on the PTO. What would cause that? It's driving me crazy!
Thanks for the video! I have the exact same mower which runs fine just throws the belt constantly. On mine it looks like the belt runs on the upper half of the idler pulley and isn't "in plane" with the spindles which seem to be maybe 3/4" lower. I bought it used with low hours. I suspect they maybe put shorter spindles and it's causing it? Or could it be an over tightened idler spring? I'm about to pull my hair out. I replaced the idler but it still does it. I'm to the point I'm going to order all new parts and start over. Thank you again
i got a yard machine 42" rider i been working on with a vibration only when you engage the blades ive replaced all pulleys , blades and jack shafts and the engine pulley it vibrates so bad it eats up the belt in a few minutes any ideas thanks
Hi, great video. I have the same mower and i am trying to figure out my issue. Was using last fall and a spring came off and inturn the belt came off. I have taken the deck off. One of the pulleys doesnt seem to sit right and has more play than the one on that deck your working on. Not sure what to do to fix it.
Check the center of the pulley, it should have a ball bearing, if the bearing is worn, it can come apart and the balls will fall out or if it has splines they could be worn off. The spring probably goes to your tensioner arm which holds tension on the belt. Careful visual inspection helps.
T-bone - I have the same mower. Since day one that I can remember, the belt comes off at times when I engage the blade or even when cutting. I’ve had a shop look at it and change pulleys and etc. that was years ago and i still have the same issue. It seems like once the belt gets a little stretched out, it gets thrown off enough to where it gets cut bad enough to not be useable and has to be replaced. I go through about 2-3 belts a season. Please help! I’m tired of going thru this many belts.
Bring it to my shop, I will find the problem and fix it. I'm sorry I don't have the answer without seeing it in person. I do believe you have an issue that is being missed by the other shops. My first rule is "Careful Visual Inspection ".
@@RaleysSmallEngines i have another issue. My belt is now peeling or shredding while I cut. It’s still in tact but basically peeling strips of the belt. This is the first time this has happened. It’s a brand new belt and the idler arm is not in the way where it’s causing the issue. I read it could be a worn pulley or something. Any recommendations as to where to start?
@marcusvela6077 check every pulley, careful visual inspection. Pay close attention to burrs and binding on pulleys. Do NOT use cheap belts. Use OEM, Rotary or Stens belts. Pay close attention to tensioner arms also.
@@RaleysSmallEngines yes sir, I check and all looks good. Not sure about if the pulleys need to be changed due to being worn. Is there a way to DM you so I can send some pictures?
Are the pulleys supposed to be on the same plane, or are the idler pulleys tilted in relation to the spindle pulleys? Intuitively, it seems they should be on the same plane, but my deck exhibits a noticeable tilt with both idlers although nothing appears to be bent.
Brother Raley, I have a few stickers I would like to send you if you could get me address to send them to I would greatly appreciate it. I thoroughly enjoy all the videos and the great tips.
Why can’t the home garage guy buy parts from Rotary? Apparently they’re only available to account holders, ie shops. That’s bullshit . I’m perfectly capable of fixing the equipment without paying $100 hr labor. I just don’t want to get screwed on the parts. There oughta be a law against this. I needed a start/ run cap for my AC condenser. City Electric quoted me $15.00, my electrician buddy got it for me for $7.50.
Great question. All you need is a business license and a tax number because Rotary is wholesale only. Sometimes you can find good prices on Rotary parts on Ebay from a dealer.
Very nice video but you put the deck belt up side down with the numbers up side down numbers should be facing down I guess it's just preference sincerely.... RIGO SMALL ENGINE REPAIR IN TEXAS GET R DONE

Good show! T-Bone was on fire, and Mrs T-Bone got the camera work and audio levels perfect. That's some good work there!
Much appreciated!
You made that look easy 😊
Difference between the expensive & cheap mowers is the deck construction, especially the spindles & their support structure.
Yes, agreed
Another great video from Raley's. Can't wait for the next one! Such great time saving tips.
Thank you David
👍👍👍. Thank you both
