In the early 90s, Marvel, Fox Kids, and Saban Entertainment teamed up to create one of the most beloved superhero cartoons ever made - X-Men: The Animated Series. Each episode was kicked off by an intense, driving opening theme song that resonates in the minds of nerds to this day. We sat down with the composer of the song, Ron Wasserman, to explain how this theme song was made, and why it's so perfect!

It was a small thing but seeing Xavier point to his head while magneto would clench his fist is a clever way to describe their characters
Isn't it great how subtle details like that were not lost on us as kids because our intelligence wasn't insulted?
Older me: Mind. Blown.
Younger me: Magneto shoots waves from his hand. Cool.....
@@leadvendor exactly
court 🤯
On a childish note, it's also hilarious that Xavier looks like he's got a migraine, and the waves from magneto look absolutely identical to the branding of a popular painkiller (here in the UK anyway, Neurofen. In fact I swear there was an advert that was an Xmen parody, that's probably why!)
The producers hit the mark on making this show adult-oriented. Folks tend to underestimate kids.
The only other recent cartoon that I can think of that is like that is the original Ben 10 cartoon. Yes it had humor but it could get dark at some points.
Very much so, they work out everything out considerably younger than most people realise anyway, and rapidly work out when they're being given anything dumbed down, I spent my entire childhood bored with crap books, TV and toys that always seemed just slightly tame. Within reason kids just accept stuff, they don't over think things, and unless something is explicitly show or explained, more adult themes go over thier heads. The earlier you can come to terms with all the nasty crap in this world the better! I seem to remember X men being almost a gateway from children's TV to adult TV, perfect format really.
I always resented my mum as a kid for not letting me watch X men or power rangers, the "violence" is quite literally comical as an adult! If anything, it's good to have basic human concepts like death and physical violence introduced in an age suitable form to build a healthy attitude towards them. Learning about the ups and downs of the world through stories is as old as language itself. Not being able to watch X men as a kid did make the theme tune even more badass though :D
1000%
Thank God for Avatar Last Airbender
Corporations dumb kids down and infantilize them for at least a decade longer than they should be
Ronald Aaron Wasserman also wrote and performed the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers theme song as well. Which is why those television themes that he worked on so memorable to me. Ron Wasserman is a very underrated composer that deserves way more recognition than he gets.
I really hope he gets to compose the future marvel xmen movies when they port it over fully from fox to disney
Shame the japanese ver. is rather.. uncool and not that very nostalgia for weebs like me. I mean, couldn't japanese studio who handled it back then just use original intro theme but with added mix of their own?
everyone who's a fan of this show is rejoicing that Disney+ announced, that continuing this show, keeping the animation style to the fans who love the theme song, THEY'RE KEEPIN THE THEME SONG
In its full length ?
@@daelen.cclark as much as they had to pay for the rights since they didn't own them, probably double length and until you can't stand it any longer to get their money's worth
Yea, but they changed Magneto's outfit and made him gay.
Wolverine is probably a strong black female now, so no to your question Disney killed any interest ages ago
Wolverine was made Homo, so no.
"Don't write it for kids; write it for adults..."
My dad was as much a fan of the show as I was. We watched it together every Saturday morning, along with Spiderman.
Which, ironically, was the other 90s marvel cartoon with a BANGER intro
Those two shows were so amazing. And both intro themes were bangers but X-Men's theme is something else.
wonderful
Along with BTAS. It's insulting to think kids can't grasp complex stories
Thank you all so much!!!! Currently sitting at home with a busted right arm, Mountain biking accident, so your comments really lifted my spirits. More hi hat!!!!!!!
Ron Wasserman Get better soon Ron!!!! (Saban needs another round of hi hats) 😂
MORE HI-HATS!!! Love your work and your ohrwurm which brings me immense joy every time I hear it.
I'm more than a little surprised that nobody asked about the elephant in the room: Cowbell?
OMG IT IS WASSERMAN!!!!! I still can't help but love MMPR's intro over all. Let alone the entire Sound Track made by Wasserman!
I feel like an idiot for never knowing you did X-Men. I only knew your stuff from PR.
13:20 LOL at Stan fear mongering kids into suspecting their classmates as mutants and being wary of them. Xavier would be so disappointed.
When it got put on Netflix for the first time, I heard the theme coming from my brothers room and it was like I had been suckerpunched by nostalgia.
I legit ran into his room screaming XMEN!!!!!!! :D
Never fails to make me feel like a kid again!
I’m 41, grew up watching X-Men and even today I find myself humming the theme song to it without having watched the show in decades.
I absolutely loved this theme tune as a kid to the point I'd walk around the house humming the little guitar riff to myself when one day my dad asked me why I was humming a Whitney Houston song (Out of character for my music taste at the time) only for me to tell him it was the X-Men theme.
I never really paid much attention to the comment until over a decade later when I was an adult the scenario came back to mind. I found out it was actually the vocal melody of the chorus in 'I'm Your Baby Tonight' by Houston that sounds very similar in pattern to the X-Men riff.
An amusing discovery.
This blew my mind. It totally does. How did I not realize this sooner?
You think that's mind blowing? Check this out:
Hum 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.'
Now hum 'Baa Baa Black Sheep.'
Cool, right? Just wait...
NOW hum the alphabet.
Your Dad was thinking 🤔. WHOSE baby are you tonight? 😂
OMG................I never every noticed that. It does now sound like it. WHOA!
I am literally here watching this because I thought the same thing
And this theme Just Came back on doctor strange 2 when Charles Xavier appears
The bell was always what sold it for me. It came as you watched two generals flexing their power while two armies began to clash, but it felt so DIFFERENT because of the bell. You could feel the gravity of the conflict between Professor X amd Magneto, how much it has come to define both men, without reading a single panel of their backstory. That moment, even more so than the synthetic guitar, told you that this wasn't going to be your standard Saturday morning punchy light show. This was X-Men, and you better strap in and hold on to your sugary breakfast cereal of choice.
It better appear in the MCU opening, like the Spider-Man theme.
I'm sure it will, haha
Imagine the first X-Men cameo in an MCU post-credit scene. Camera pans showing the Xavier school for gifted mutants logo on the gates, then X-Men theme plays. Goosebumps!🔥
Spoiler alert probably:
it does happen in Multiverse of Madness (and on Ms. Marvel too)
I love that the mentality was to make a kid's show for adults and not talk down to the audience.
Cough cough...anything imagination studios makes. Lol
At least until the Disneyfied 5th season.
mike bustamante every kids show should do that
the Professor X narration opening reminds me of Disney's Gargoyles opening theme which was also with no lyrics but instead had Goliath narrate the premise of the show.
Christopher Walken: Forget the cowbell...I need more High Hat!
I just watched a 24min documentary on a theme for a cartoon show I used to watch as a kid... and I loved it. Great work. Thank you very much. Would never have seen anything like this on TV so thank god for RUclips.
I'm watching it third time
What's the name of the documentary?
I think the theme reflects the unapologetic nature of the show bringing the comic book world to the screen. They never tried to ground it or make it make sense, they just showed all these characters and stories and said here it is. The theme and the show were a good match.
Yes. It was a brave show. There were many ways they could have attenuated the Xmen stories, which were really for young adults, not kids, but they didn't, and as a reward the world will remember. Silver Surfer was another example, mature, but missing the Xmen punch that captured the attention of kids.
Too bad, they've censored the Magneto's origins
When that guitar riff comes in, chills! My childhood thanks you, Mr. Wasserman!
I used to play violin with my high school string ensemble, and we REGULARLY performed the X-Men theme. It was just that much of a banger that it always got into our setlist.
Screw the theme song, *everything* in that cartoon was amazing, in fact, it's the reason I was so disappointed by almost every X-Men movie. The cartoon did something for me that the movies couldn't replicate.
AGREED...the X-Men movies were trash. (With the exception of some spot on casting...but not Storm, that was the worst casting in film history.)
The x men movies are great. They nailed was x men was all about. Except the 3rd one and apocalypse. Those sucked. Lol
jeff wolf Really?! I was grossly underwhelmed by the 1st 3 movies, _First Class_ and _Days of Future Past_ were a big improvement, but they still left me feeling like something vital was missing. Most people agree that Apocalypse was trash, and the Wolverine exclusives went from bad (but entertaining IMHO), to "needs improvement", to PERFECTION. Any X-MEN movie featuring Wolverine should be rated *R* IMO.
Dan The-Man regardless how you feel about the action or the suits. Those movies nailed the story and its characters. The movies were about something and had something to say.
The first movie is boring as hell, and as far as I know, has *NOTHING* to do with the canon. And there was no history between Victor and Logan. Even if Wolverine didn't remember him, Sabretooth should have, but they completely wrote that connection out. Ice-Man was one of the first X-Men, but not in the movies. They got so many character details wrong, it's absurd.
Literally can't wait to hear this theme play over the MCU logo
Alex Beamer *L I T T E R A L L Y*
It's sure to happen
Dark Phoenix will probably beat them to it since they have a new composer.
Shining Night “Dark FOX” (“Dark Phoenix”), will thankfully never see the light of day since the X-Men characters are finally coming home to the MCU and will be done right. In fact, that hot-garbage and “New Mutants” need to end up where the 1994 Fantastic Four film did: that warehouse at the end of “Raiders of the Lost Ark”. Out of sight. Out of mind.
+trealsteve What are you talking about? IMAX confirmed Dark Phoenix’s release and they started reshoots two days ago. Disney doesn’t even officially own Fox yet and they have said that they will release any Fox films that are completed or in production. And I have a question: do you like the Wolverine & The X-Men cartoon?
The main melody came from a song by Hermeto Paschoal, brazilian legend composer. But Ron seems to forget about it...
"There's no way you can sing Xmen, but you can put the phrase in the music" -- I knew it was part of the theme.
Who else remembers thinking xmen! At the end of each line in the theme.
🎼Na na nana naahhh X-MEN !🎼
I keep thinking "Whatever you want from me
I'm giving you everything
I'm your baby tonight"
one hundo p
“That moment you realize the X-Men animated series theme and the X-Men movie theme are not very different but more similar than you think.”
The first X Men movie had a quite similar theme at its crecendo but they've moved away from it in later movies.
Ron Wasserman is pretty much a musical genius. I mostly knew him for his Power Rangers stuff for years, and it was pretty awesome to find out that he also did X-Men all those years ago.
And he's such a fun, creative guy!
And Dragon Ball Z! He is an amazingly creative writer and composer. He knows howbto put meaning into everything
anyone know what watch he's wearing?
You know this was a rip of a Whitney Houston song that came out a few years earlier, right?
We just posted the Power Rangers video we filmed the same day! ruclips.net/video/HgLuwbshjBE/видео.html
The X Men theme song is legit, I used to record it on my cassette player just so I could replay it. But I submit one more opening also epic... Batman opening by Danny Elfman.
Its good but not Xmen theme good.
I've got a fever and the only prescription is more high hat.
😂🤣
But what about that killer song "Do DO!"? Going to be singing that for minutes. That's like hours in 90's time.
LOL! I was about to say something similar! Respect!
lol
so no cowbells?
When you see Wolverine with an Australian accent and then realise that decades later Wolverine is portrayed in film by an Australian actor.
Right? It's just a "whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?!" kind of moment.
And then you realise how bad you are at picking accents because it wasn’t an Australian accent, but a really bad British one so you give up on life and say goodbye to your family.
@@jean-lucfacade6219 I can tell British and Australian accent apart and this is an Australian accent. Check your ears again.
Don’t need to. I’m Australian. I know what my accent sounds like. I’ve lived with it all my life. Nice try though.
chris mcdonald
Except the voice actor who did it said he was trying to do an Australian accent.
Also, since Australia started out as a British penal colony, all Australian accents are technically bad British accents, which is why it's so hard for non-Brits/non-Aussies to tell the difference.
Fun fact: Ron Wasserman, the composer of the song, also wrote music for the original few seasons of Power Ranger, for VR Troopers, and even the English dub of Dragon Ball Z. He's also done very little else notable since then, which sucks because his music is amazing
Me, lying comfortably in bed at night, at perfect temperature and in a wonderfully quiet home: *Why can I not sleep?*
My brain: *ECKS MEEEN ECKS MEEEN; SAVES THE DAYY SAVES THE DAYY*
*this is the day
Music theory and X-men, these are a few of my favorite things!
Hope the video hit the spot! Haha
*sees title of video*
_Inner Me:_ "Hey! You know what time it is?" *turns on X-Men theme*
_Me:_ "No, please. I need to sleep."
_Inner Me:_ "...Oh, okay." *reaches over and cranks up volume*
Hahahahahahaha it is 2347 on a Sunday when I read this, lying in bed, watching on my phone, knowing that I have to wake up at 0500 to go to work........X-Men.......que guitar!
Everyone needs to love this song. If they can't, I don't know what their childhood must have been like.
This theme was SO cool. Amazing job Ron.
How about the 90s animated Spider-man theme? Pretty sure these two themes had a massive part to play in my love of rock.
Saban did that song too
Right? The guitar solo in Spider-man's intro theme is probably what got me into rock/metal.
I always named the characters with the song. Cyclops shoots lasers. Wolverine is cool. Rogue has white hair. Storm will kill you...
U have storm and rogue names backwards but any fan would ignore it and go yeah thats backwards, lol
I still have this dream that one day after the Fox/Disney merger is 100% complete, that Marvel Studios will give us another go at the X-Men, properly introduced into the MCU.
That at that final scene, before the big ending fight with the villains, as the team is going through their pre-battle warm up; putting on their gear, testing their powers, and assembling for that iconic slow mo march towards the screen, that they play this theme in the movie.
Don't put it in the previews. Don't put it in the commercials. Don't hint at it at all.
Just start playing the base riff and percussion during the montage, then burst out into that guitar as the team walks toward us in full uniform.
And the theater audience explodes in cheer.
I'm throwing money at my screen right now
The idea brought a tear to my eye. It would be so glorious!
for the first time in my life i just got CHILLS FROM READING A FREAKING RUclips COMMENT
Oh man just reading this gave me literal chills . We need to make this real
That's pretty much exactly what they did in the Power Rangers movie.
This theme and the original thunder cats theme are the 2 most exciting and iconic opening theme songs/animations for cartoons ever put together. Loved both of them equally!
I remember being down the hall and my brother watching it and I would run just from the theme song. It created so much energy like you knew you were about to watch something epic.
A lesson here, when it comes to X-Men music: *NEVER ADD LYRICS*
listen to the Japanese version its even better I GUARANTEE!
Wiz khalifa used the theme song to create a song called "that good".. Yall should check it out
ruclips.net/video/0wteig3c_Ls/видео.html
X MEEEEEEEEEN X MEEEEEEEN - LOL. The animation looked amazing tho... #XMEEEEEEEEN
The Japanese added lyrics to the 90s X-Men theme and even animated a whole new sequence and it's just as good if not better opening than the original
I have a fever, and the only cure, IS MORE HIGH HATS!
When I first listened to this music as a child, I thought, I've never heard something like this; so dramatic & intriguing. I got goosebumps. & the visuals as well, I've never seen a cartoon opening like the X-Men. It was soooooo captivating!
can't wait to hear this theme again in the new series!
this song is iconic, one of the most incredible openings of all time, is exciting and contagious
Yes X-men Jim Lee 1991 it’s beautiful the best comic and cartoon of all time
So good!!!
NerdSync yes it’s amazing this better be the inspiration for the MCU version of the X-Men or I’m going to freak out that Kevin didn’t push it as the main story line
Blazing Badger Yes. Both the comic and the series have reached legendary status.
Blazing Badger I’m sure Mr. Feige is well aware of the iconic status of the show as he’s a guy who knows X-Men and what to do with them unlike a certain person who halfway binge watched the show and banned the comics from his film set...cough...Bryan Singer...cough...
trealsteve I’m pretty sure as well but I’m still hoping they do this version over the original version made by Stan Lee because we all ready have had some of that in fist class
The thing I love the most is that gong at the end as Magneto raises his fist leading to the electric main tittle card!
This theme, Spider-Man TAS theme and the Spectacular Spider-man theme are the best themes out there
The Spiderman animated serie of the same time had an epic theme song too!
Yeah but that feeling I get watching thid was just awesome
1994 version, yes
Yes and the crossover was really cool too
Emergency Awesome has been using that theme at the end of his videos concerning Marvel stuff. Gets me nostalgic as hell.
Spider-Man Spider-Man Radioactive Spider-Man
This was a huge project we've been working on for months! If you like it, please share it around! Huge thanks to Ron Wasserman for the interview! If you wanna see him reacting to some RUclips covers of the X-Men theme song, go check out RKVC's video here 👉 ruclips.net/video/yXZgHFybvHw/видео.html

The power rangers theme was better, also done by Ron Wassermann
Oh thank goodness you're still alive. I almost posted a comment on Arris' channel last week asking him if he talked to you and if he knows if you're ok. I'm glad you're ok.
Well Crafted Video. Good job!
Brilliant video! Despite the time taken, it’s well worth it. That’s what I liked about the X-men 90s cartoon - just like Stan Lee didn’t talk down to the readers in the 60s and 70s when I was reading, it generates so many more rewards when you don’t.
Hey Scott... What if the theme is glorious but I also hate fun?? I'm so conflicted
30 years later it still gives me chills that are multiplying.
But yah, the 1990s was the greatest decade of all time arguably, at least in terms of entertainment and emerging tech that would set the standards for all time for everything! ALl the cartoons got better and better, were deep and thoughtful and helped raise kids from my gen in a great and intelligent way. We will never see such a great era again T
I'm going to have to say 80s, but yeah, the 90s turned out to be a great sequel to a great decade (as far as popular culture is concerned). In fact, their respective successes are so intertwined that you can't talk of one without the other.
The amount of work you put into this is very evident. Fantastic job!
Great to see Matt Draper here :D
Thanks so much, Matt!
Hope you got a new sound board out of it.
Yeah I seen this video popped up, watched it and became an instant fan of this format. Thank you.
Same with you Matt you should do a video on X-Men The Animated Series since you covered Batman The Animated Series already
Actually the only one cartoon theme that can and does match the level of epicness is BATMAN : TAS .
Yeah, doesn't even have a freaking title. You know who it is, we don't even have to tell you.
Batman TAS was amazing! Hold on for geek story, my middle school band teacher loved that series so much he bought the sheet music after he first heard it!!!! We played it at least once a week from 7,8 and 9th grade!
Batman was epic. Mr Freeze :O
Definitely that is one of my top favorite themes the others would be the 1992 X-Men intro, X-Men evolution, and Spider-Man (sat am) man those were the days.
ladynikkie
Spider-Man intro was legit, Batman: TAS was also great. There are some good modern cartoon themes, but let's be honest, if the 90's hadn't rocked so damn hard, the better modern toons probably wouldn't be as good as they are.
Every time I see 90's Xmen I think "damn Rouge' hot"
Pryde of the X-Men was so underrated. It was such a great intro to the X-Men universe.
I'm a drummer myself and when music is created there needs to be a central base of rhythm, thats were drums and bass come in. That alone can just be music, because there is an established pocket groove already. When you have a beat that keeps consistency, whether it's simple or complex, you can add other instruments to compliment or add something to the music, because all music is just layers and this video does a fantastic job explaining the small but very intricate parts of making music whether complex or simple. ALSO I LOVE X-MEN.
jAZZ DuNN dude, thanks sooo much. When Scott asks for scripts about music theory, we struggle to decide how in depth to go. We don’t want to treat the viewers like idiots, but we don’t want to alienate anyone either. We’re strive for that balance in these breakdown videos and comments like yours are extremely encouraging.
RKVC you did a great job nonetheless dudes🤣
jAZZ DuNN 🙏
“I Got A Feva!...And The Prescription, is more High Hats!
Props to the guys who did the breaking bad intro. It’s probably 10-12 seconds long but definitely memorable
Better call Saul as well. The theme is about 12-13 seconds and memorable.
"I challange you to find something more incredible, more thrilling, than the theme song to X-Men The Animated Series."
Me: **shows the Japanese intro of X-Men TAS**
*"S H O C K !* Uso de katameta NAIFU kiritsuke!"
Both intros are pretty hype, though.
Screen Junkies, much?
Me: *shows him the JLU theme*
@@tobigrantlbart JLU is a superior overall cartoon but that theme is trash.
CRY FOR THE MOON!
Individuality is what's lacking in today's films...you're spot on
That theme always gives me chills
One of my favorite themes! It was dark, a little scary, badass, and exciting all at once. I remember feeling anxious to see what would happen next just from the theme alone!
The show made me proud to be an individual. I'm happy they made it and didn't cave into parental pressure. Excellent video!!!
5:47 Imagine my surprise when after that line, instead of him saying X-Men, an ad for Raid Shadow Legends begins to play
Batman: The Animated Series and Teen Titans also had great opening themes songs!
I feel like they all match the tone of their respective series, which makes them work really well. Batman explored dark subject matter, and set a standard for a more introspective titular hero. Teen Titans was exciting, hip, and idiosyncratic (but grounded with a pinch of realness).
mehwhyausername1 I was gonna write Batman the animated series too
mehwhyausername1 those, plus this Xmen in Japanese dub, Avatar series, The Batman cartoon series...
There's more but I just don't have eidetic memory, so...
Don't forget the theme songs from Transformers, Thundercats, GI Joe, Silverhawks, He-Man and She-Ra! Those were also all awesome!
Teen Titans is overrated. Granted it was good. Still, overrated.
C.o.p.s.
I never understood why Wolverine's titlecard was in a jungle since he's clearly from Canada where there are a distinct lack of jungles.
Well where is a Wolverine even from does Austrila even have Wolvies? 🤔
It could be a dense forest. Are there forests in Canada? Also, the title card is there to quickly introduce the characters. In Wolvie’s case; a wild animal within a wild setting.
Maybe from his time in Vietnam?
When i was a kid i felt like an outsider with others as mutants did, and had problems like Rogue did with her father. I was able to relate. The show really knew how to reach into my mind and connect. i loved this show so much
This was gold for kids who were different, I only hope the world today has enough (even fantasy) guidance and role models for those who don't fit it. As an adult, I don't think anyone fits in really, we just ignore that it and feel like we belong for whatever reason. But as a kid, you need to know there are people in the same place you are.
I’ve been saying for the longest time I want this song played at my funeral 😂
Lol 😆 me too
If you’re really making this a series, you can’t forget the Ninja Turtles
I second that
Brendan Walker Holy shit you are right!
A classic! Wouldn't forget it!
@@NerdSyncProductions You have to remember to make fun of England though. They made them change it to "Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles" because the word ninja was too violent.
They also made them change the song to reflect the name.
Brendan Walker original or 2003?
The artwork in pryde of the xmen was a 1,000 times better than anything on fox
I love the animations on X-Men: TAS, but yeah, Pryde's style was gorgeous!
I remember waking up for elementary school in the mornings & hearing this on my fathers tv, it brings back memories 😭
i was obsessed with this theme as a kid....the bell is perfection..lol
The theme song is actually VERY similar to the Whitney Houston song "I'm Your Baby Tonight" which came out a few years earlier.
VERY SIMILAR YES
And rod stewarts crazy about her (which Whitney's song ripped off).
This genuinely might be one of my favourite NerdSync videos ever. Great job Scott and RKVC (also I miss you guys)
Man, your videos are awesome
Miss you man! Come back to LA!
Thanks so much, Owen!
i would argue thundercats has an equally energetic theme song and gummi bears has an equally good intro song and all 3 have aged very well.
The most epic opening song at all time! X-MEN 90’s the best of all
Man, I'd never given this much thought to a cartoon theme before. It's so fascinating to see how it was made and why it works. Thank you, Scott, for another incredible video. (Also, that rejected narration is on point)
Thanks for the kind words! And yeah, Olly's reading of the narration made it sound incredible!
Well, if you’re going to continue with this series, you’re definitely going to have to take a look at Hoyt Curtin - the guy behind Jonny Quest, the Super Friends and Battle of the Planets themes. (Not to mention the Flintstones *koff*)
PhantomObserver Jonny Quest for sure.
When I started watching X-Men 97 I got goosebumps. That intro theme is just as awesome today as it was 30 years ago. 😊
I've started looking into the movies again this morning, and just stumbled over this video, recognizing the similarity of the movie soundtrack to this intro. As someone who hasn't watched the 90's animation X-Men, i can only imagine how astonishing it must have been for all those who did, and then entered into the cinemas and watched X-Men in 2000. That must have been great, because it is a great movie even if you didn't knew a lot about X-Men. Wow, how memories and feelings are carrying us through life:-)
I always liked the theme to SWAT Kats, same kinda heavy 90's rock intro too. But if you haven't watched the Japanese opening to X-Men check it out!
I need to watch all of it but the channel fact fiends put clips from so i hear abit of it.its pretty rocking.
Hell yes swat kats
No way. Usa opening >>>>> japanese
Finally, in my opinion SWAT KATS was better.
season 2 intro of swat katz was better
Leaked scene from venom 2018 XD
DON'T TELL ANYONE!!!
NerdSync not a peep 🤫
NerdSync *calls SONY*
21:37 "There's nothing memorable you can do in 5 or 6 seconds."
Ummm excuse me but WE. ARE. FARMERS. BUM-BURRUM-BUM-BUM-BUM-BUM
"just scream out the name" was the next line though haha

Eff you I just had to sing that out loud!
But that’s a jingle. He’s referring to song theme
Fun fact! The Pryde of The X-MEN became an awesome Arcade game despite not being successful as a cartoon series. It's still my favorite for it being a short cartoon adaptation/more of a game. It seems that's what it was meant to be. I am, an X-MEN fan/and still love the game to this very day!
Jayce And The Wheeled Warriors, that's the best for me.
Do Spider Man the Animated Series next. Or Batman TAS.
or even batman beyond
Spectacular Spiderman
Superhuman Samurai Cyber-Squad.
No, I'm joking though the 80's/90's Ninja Turtles theme would make for a good video at some point.
20:24 what a perfect observation for how they went with the show. I think that is something missing in this day and age.
This show was part of the MCU before the MCU except it's called the Marvel Animated Universe
Watching it few years back after i'm way beyond cartoon age, woahhhhh:
Xavier: "So often in our history unhappy misguided people have created scapegoats, blaming those that are different for the problems in their own lives"
Storm: "It is an evil immense hearts that must be fought. If we stand up to the trouble makers they will give up their cruel desires, if we fail their tolerance would grow and many could perish"
Beast: "These constant re-crimination are counter productive"
Storm: "for every human who gaves in to hate and fear, there are hundreds who are willing to see the truth"
Wolverine: "I never thought a super sense of hearing can be so painful"
"Didn't anybody ever tell ya, you don't kick a man when he's down"
Beast: "The noblest answer unto such, is kindly silence when they brawl - Alfred Tennyson"
-----
Magneto: "I shall never understand you Charles"
Xavier: "In what way?"
Magneto: "Your life would be infinitely easier if mine were to end, yet you saved me"
Xavier: "I do not yearn for an easy life Magneto, only a just one, I would take little satisfaction in your death"
-----
Wolverine was hurt after being attacked
Wolverine: "I... don't... need your... help..."
As Colossus say: "Of course not, but you are guest in my country, it is good manner"
He picked up Wolverine and run to safety
There's no age beyond cartoons
In men's hearts, not immense hearts.
@MrRight James it's called compassion for you fellow man and looking at another perspective other than yours, still trapped in your childhood I see.
That's incredible good dialogue.
How many cartoon characters quote today Alfred Tennyson? And with meaning?
Probably was cheesy, but it was incredible. Talking about discrimination, death, sacrifice, loss, love, hate...
It was an incredible good series.
"You said that without a hint of irony posting your comment on a video for a kids tv show lol."
So? Watching a video about the theme song for a cartoon doesn't make someone automatically "trapped in [their] childhood" (if it did, then his assertion about you would be correct, since you yourself posted your comment on a video for a kids TV show).
i like that professor x voice over. for the next x-men cartoon maybe? its very similar how the movies do their intros and i LOVE IT. im a sucker for narration
Thanks! I'd definitely do it if they offered me the job!
yea and in 1992 they were saying that was the only X-MEN Cartoon, but I could've sworn back then there was an other X-MEN Cartoon.
Moonbeam 87 it’s the “Pryde of the X-men referenced in this video! Only one episode, a pilot that flopped horribly.
The Japanese theme song and opening is just as good. In fact they drew it like anime...it's very cool.
The The Pride of the Xmen animated series did PRODUCE MY FAVORITE MULTI-PLAYER ARCADE GAME SINCE TMNT. Xmen with Dazzler sonic boom was my favorite!
On the second level was a theme where the singer did yell out the name "X-Men" hundreds of times.
YES!!!
X-MEN!(X-men!)
I love that arcade game!
"Dope Bell" lmao. I have to admit that was a great idea
Just a random comment from a French boy that grew up with this series and that still listen to this opening so many years later. Maybe the best opening ever made for a tv show according to me.
And if someone read this comment sooner or later, don’t forget to add more hi-hats in your life and your projects
Even when I’m 27 YO, this theme still on my head every day, and has being my inspiration for many of my art work
You cannot forget about TailSpin.. that was an AWESOME theme song.
That was some really good voice work for Professor X reading the script!
That was Olly from PhilosophyTube absolutely crushing it!
I love the mention at the end about how popular it was even for young children despite what most would think. My brother and I were four and three when we started the show and grew up with it and we quote it to each other all the time.
Bionic 6 theme song was my favorite as a kid. Thundercats theme is high up on my list as well. Gret video and topic.
