The BCM developed a fault and was setting off the horn hazards and wipers randomly explained more here VW T5 hazards randomly flashing ruclips.net/video/MYkItSK9b2A/видео.html so the issue I think was probably dry solder joints on the BCM motherboard the company just refurbished the unit no mods were done.
No there is no way of connecting them but I have read that a chap in Poland has managed to get them working but I just can’t find any more information at the moment.
I have talked to the guy- and its fully possible but buttons for the radio will work only with an android radio- becouse buttons functions from the steering wheel has to be programed / assigned on the radio itself.

Hi, what about the horn? Fitted mine recently and no horn!
@@Gatallica my horn worked fine, although initially when I didn't have the BCM connected .
