Enjoyed this interview. Bo Derek is sincere and candid, especially when talking about Hollywood, describing it as ugly and going onto to say that she is very fortunate. It is a breath of fresh air to see this. It was good of Dave apologising for his goofing around. She didn't appeared to be frazzled. She is a class act. Imagine if it was Jimmy Fallon doing the interview, he would be giggling non-stop.😀
Carson ran circles around Letterman as an interviewer. Johnny was respectful to his guests, funny, and never boring. Dave could sometimes be a horse’s ass.
She had a completely self absorbed lifestyle. I love her. Never goes anywhere, and has no compelling reason to be rich other than being dazzling looking. Gotta love America.

I bumped into Mrs. Derek at a movie theater in Costa Rica, and she immediately stood out-tall and striking. I was captivated by this beautiful blonde woman and couldn’t help but say, “Excuse me, has anyone ever told you that you look like the actress Bo Derek?” She smiled and replied, “Oh yes, I hear that all the time.”

Eh I know some brilliant/successful people people who didnt show up for a day of high school. Maybe its a California thing. Not even rare to drop out of HS, wait a few years and go to college. Los Angeles high schools are a place to keep kids off the street. Not much serious learning going on, not much keeping track of whose still enrolled. I dropped out after 1 week, started hanging around the local city college, ended up graduating from an Ivy League.
