Cable locks are super easy to cut, it only keeps honest people honest.
still helps
@@tradbowpodcast True, but I would look for something better if I was going to leave the bike unattended for more then a few minutes.
Thanks for the upload, might get one of these for my beast. If I do I will use your Amazon link.
well im glad youtube popped this one up. Saved me $400 or so. I was just fixing to buy a hollywood for my fat tire ebike. Subbed and liked
You will love this carrier. Traveld across the country with it 2 times. It's super stable
Just assembled the same carrier and thank you very much for the video. I would of been lost without your instructions. Works great
Glad you got it set up. Such a great carrier
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!! I've been looking for a hitch for my fat tire e-bike for hunting this next season. I've been looking around and have been dreading having to pay $400+ for a rack able to handle the weight and wider tires. This set up will save me a lot of money.
Very welcome. This set up is rock solid and very affordable. I love it
Fantastic solution for my fat tire ebike. Thanks man!!
Very welcome. It works great. I drove with my bike on this rack from Michigan to Georgia and never once had to adjust or tighten anything
Nice bike carrier. Thanks Jason for sharing it with us.
Very welcome
Hello, well just used my carrier for the first time ,total of 300 miles, this thing is great, and the hitch clamp worked great, making it super soild with little to no movment at all. So debut trip gets a 10 from me.Thanks again :):):)
Awesome. Glad to hear you are happy with it
Great setup. I’m in the process of doing the exact same way. Thanks. James
It worked fantastic. Even drove it like this from Michigan to Florida and back and never needed to make adjustments or mess with ti
Nice Rack, a must have accessory if you want to transport an e-bike anywhere, many people don't know how heavy e-bikes are and how difficult they are to transport if you are not riding them.
Yep was an eye opener for me too. When I saw the price of bike races rated for fat tire and ebikes I about crapped my pants! Some were more than the bike! Glad I found this idea on youtube and it is so solid!
Thank you this helped tremendously.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great Video and explanation, thanks for adding all the links, very useful and practical
Glad you enjoyed the video!
*I was expecting a lot of shortcuts to be taken at this price. I was wrong. Decent quality **Latest.Bike** raker . Easy on easy off.*
works great!
Hi I'm from Ontario. And have the same ..carrier.
It works like a champ
This is awesome.
Ordered one for my M2S all terrain ultra ht. Same thing as Rambo or Quietkat but 2k less.
You will love it. Had my bike on here from Michigan to Georgia a month ago and it never moved and never had to be adjusted. Love it
Great Video!
Thank you
I have had those straps loosen after driving for awhile, check them every so often
Great tip! I always double check any load, bike, boat, etc about 10 miles into the trip and then at every gas stop.
I've had this rack 7 years, works great as-is but your idea to let the wheels drop into the frame is brilliant. Not what the instructions say but sometimes it's better not to RTFM.
Good to hear you like it. Mine has been perfect so far
This can even be a prepper suggestion lol for transportation
Very much so! Especially because you can actually drive your vehicle in so pretty tough offroad conditions and not worry about the bike rack breaking or bending with all the stress. Many bike racks are rated for 55mph and pavement use only. This thing is super strong and will handle anything you throw at it.
Awesome! Is an ebike stout enough to haul a deer out of the woods?
Mine will carry 400 lbs total.
Jason, stealth strip those bolts for the tires. Lol
That's a good idea!
You'd get pulled over real quick in Europe. It covers your tail lights/indicators and reg plate, which is why I doubt it is legal even in the US.
Completely legal in the US. In the summer 50% of vehicles look like this with bike racks on
@@tradbowpodcast in the EU you have to have additional plate and a complete set of rear lights on the bike rack.
Hey there, do you have a video about all the accessories on your e bike for hunting and why you choose them? Watching this video made me look deeper into your accessories
I do not. And I sold the bike last year to buy a jon boat for hunting. The boat is more useful to me now living in ga
Couple of notes...always have the tiee down strap pulling in opposite directions...ie..the front pulling backwards and the back pulling forwards...or vise versa..doesn't matter...if you have shocks (forks and/or swingarm) pull the straps tight enough to compress those shocks..otherwise the bike will bounce/compress downwards loosening the staps...lossen them when you get to where you're going..for heavy bike's motorcycle it's a good idea to have straps holding the bottom of the wheels down as well...
Great points and suggestions
Also, you should lock the shocks on the bike so it doesn’t bounce.
Looking for an ebike bike rack that attaches to the back of my hitch hauler.
I like this rack and was thinking of adding conduit on each side to hold the wheels down. I would form it to fit the wheels and flatten it out at the ends and drill holes in it to bolt onto the rack. It would come up and over the tires on each end and then use a couple of tie downs to hold them towards each other. This would be setup like 1UP racks hold the wheels down on each end.
Don't need any of that. The wheels drop down into the frame rails and the cross bars adjust to the width of thr wheels
About 59 seconds from the time you touched the strap till the wheels were on the ground. Very quick to unload the bike.
Yeah it's a great carrier
Your videos are some of the best.. been looking for a better way to haul my ebike.. this is it. Do you still use this setup or have you swapped setups?
I sold the bike and carrier to my buddy when I bought my boat. He still uses it all the time and loves it. It's rock solid and works like a champ
Might be the rack I need. One thing though, because the rim of the wheel is sitting inside alil passed the gap, is it possible it can bend the rim?
No way to bend the rim there is alot of tire sidewall adding cushion and the straps to the handle bars keep the bike from moving
Any suggestion for transporting two 73 lb e-bikes?
They make a double ebike carrier but it's expensive. I'd have a welder build me a double like this set up.
Can you put the link to the pool noodles you have on your milk crate , I ride with my dog and I love the idea .
It's just pipe insulation from any hardware store for 1 dollar a tube.
I have the identical rack and it wiggles like crazy. I am using an anti rattle lock but it really doesn’t make much of a difference. When I can I’m going to upgrade to something that’s actually made well.
The rack has nothing to do with wiggle. It's the play in your hitch and you not using the hitch clamp correctly. If you use the hitch clamp right there is no wiggle.
@@tradbowpodcast I’m using the hitch clamp correctly. The carrier is a piece of shit. It’s that simple.
@@becomeaudible1 So I just bought this and love it ,not sure but my hitch clamp works great , its super soild, no movment at all, sorry your not happy ,but in my opinion its far from a piece of shit, it works great.
Anything to fir 2 ebikes?
not sure. never looked for a 2 bike version.
Curious, what are soft shakers?
Soft shackles. They are in the video description text below the video. Click the little arrow next to the video title and it will drop down the text info and description. In there you will find a link to them. They are basically a double loop nylon webbing that goes around the handle bars and cinches tight on itself with a loop to connect your tie down strap to.
Do they have these for 2 fat tire ebikes?
Not sure
What is your ebike tire width? Does the carrier has any adjustment for ebike with different tire width to avoid wobbling?
Dont remeber how thick the tires were on this bike. But its a mongoose dolomante if you want to look it up. I already sold the bike. The carrier does not allow you to adjust the width. its designed for motorcycles.
my only concern on these are the width They all stick out wider than the cars. Maybe that is a non issue, but I dont want any injuries or scratching other cars, etc. Tell me I am worng :)
Just like driving with a trailer. The trailer sticks out much wider that the car does
You cleary looked at a lot of options ,my question is you choose this one over the aluminum harbor fright one, they cost about the same why did you go with this one ?
Great question. My answer might upset some people but it's my personal experiences that make me feel this way. If I just stayed on pavement all the time the aluminum would be great. Same with aluminum trailers. Bit as soon as you go off road, hitting holes, washboard roads etc aluminum cracks and welds break. Where steel flexes much better and thw welds hold stronger. So I prefer steel for the terrain I go into offroad and the durability of steel.
@@tradbowpodcastOk,good to know ,i was on the fence on which one to buy, I agree steel is my choice as well for where im going ,thank you so much for helping me make my decision, sure beats dropping 6 to 7 hundred $ on one!
@@tracymclaughlin5433 glad I could help
I always wondered how pedaling a fat tire down a 4wheeler trail is.
It sucks. Not gonna lie. Compared to a normal mtn bike it takes alot to turn those tires over. But sure is great exercise and goes theu everything, sand snow mud etc is all easy and very stable to get through. But on a flat gravel road it male you wish you have lighter skinnier wheels
@@tradbowpodcast ok, I was kind of thinking that. I guess a lot of people prefer the stability aspect at the cost of ease of pedaling, a lot of guys I know on public land run these and I could never figure out why, I’m one of the few with a skinny tire mtn bike and here I was thinking I was crazy lol
@@The_Fit_ness_monster if you spend most of your time riding hard pack a standard mtn bike is best. When dealing with the soft pack that will dump you off you mtn bike all the time the fat tire bike is best. But again it's great exercise on the fat tire and I do like that aspect. 3 miles on a fat tire feels like you went 5 on a mtn bike on hard pack
@@tradbowpodcast yeah I can see that.
Do you plan on getting another bike for hunting?
Probably not. No place to store one and I don't make enough money to justify buying one. Maybe in 10 years when my legs can't walk the miles I might.
@@tradbowpodcast Totally understand that! However I am looking at an ebike right now to get me around behind gates a little farther than I would normally walk. Especially for early archery hunting!
Where in the part/model number listed for this unit???
Click the arrow next ro the video title. It will drop down a text description. In that description is a link to this carrier on amazon.
What happened to the link?
It probably got sold out and then the restock was a new link I didn't update to yet. Will when I can. Right now I'm hunting for a week and no computer to set up a new link
Length is 76 inches long. Will it hold my e bike the is 77 inches long from the end of the wheels ? Thank you for the video
It sure will. I think this bike I have on there is 77 inches as well
No good, blocks the tail lights.
Actually very good and works perfect. It's a bike. The lights are very visible. It's not like I have a cooler or something solid blocking the lights
You can still see the taillights…
