Really a pretty quilt and I learned something new with using the lines on the ruler to trim the square in a square block. Thank you for over sizing it so we can trim down. I would love to see this with a different fabric line to see how different it would look. Thanks for doing the video! Great job!!

I have to tell you that I am in the process of making this quilt from your pattern. I bought the layer cake and fat quarter bundle in my home state before I knew what I wanted to make with it. I love blue!!! I did end up buying much of the fabric from Shabby Fabric in order to follow your pattern. I recently watched a video of the designer of this fabric line and all of the patterns they came up with doesn't compare to your pattern! Thank you sooo much!

I love your quilt, & you are an excellent teacher! The wide white segments give me a feel of modern, adapted traditional. I like that space for the eyes to rest.

Thanks for the pro tip on the last round of sewing. I would have sewn to the wrong side for sure. That would have been followed by some choice words and I would have sat there trying to figure where I cut incorrectly 🙃

Did you spray starch your material first before cutting ? It looks very crisp. 😊
Hi Sue, I always use a sizing spray on my fabrics before I cut them. I find it helps to decrease fraying and keeps my stitches and seams very sharp.💖Bethany

what would be the yardage requirements to make this into a queen size quilt about 100 x 90 or is that in the pattern
Hi Sue Kay Knits - Our pattern for this quilt is written with an approximate finish size of 52-1/2" × 65-1/2". If you'd like a larger size, we would recommend increasing your number of blocks and/or border fabrics. -Michelle

Question: what is the best white fabric to use
That's a great question! We would definitely recommend a high quality, quilter's cotton, but the print you choose depends on the design you're creating. For Starlight Gatherings, we used a mottled cream. White on white prints are another fun option, as details can really bring a project together. Hope this helps! -Michelle

Will 1layer cake make this quilt?
You can definitely use a layer cake for most of the blocks, but you would need yardage for the "trapezoid pieces", sashing and borders. Hope that makes sense! 💖 -Michelle
