Donna, you are a remarkably fantastic teacher! So thorough. All of those tips you provide, such as accuracy in piecing being even more critical the smaller your pieces, which direction to press so the seams nest, and using 'stay stitching' around the curve (top *and* bottom) to ensure there is no stretching when turning it inside out -- this advice is invaluable for sewists who wish to ensure that their projects turn out just right, and nothing is distorted. I am definitely keeping this one in my "Must-Make" list of videos. Thank you! ~Diana from Hamilton (Canada)

I love your tutorials every week for quilt making. They are really a treat to watch. Today was especially fun, and was actually a “ do-able” project. It is mesmerizing to watch you CUT, SEW, SMOOTH OUT, and FINGER PRESS, and IRON. Your finger nails are always lovely. I live in Weiser, Idaho and hope to come to your shop on day. Best Wishes!

I love this. I've been sewing a lot, I'm new to a lot of this. I'm learning as I go. Not having a lot of the tools to work with, I've found some items around my home to compensate. One of my best ideas, was to use a large popsicle craft stick, and use that to smooth out rounded or straight edges. It works those seams amazingly, and makes them easy to iron once flipped.

My husband and I were just talking about this pattern you gave, I told him it could be so versatile if you wanted to replace the pumpkin squares with other themes, like christmas presents (a box with a bow), a heart for valentines day, a shamrock for st Patrick's day, etc.

Me too... this is the first tutorial I have seen for a round table topper and now I know how to do it. More important for me.... we keep our table with the leaf in so it is oval. I have wanted to make an oval one. Am guessing that if I make a practice top that is the perfect width and length of our table. Then round the corners to coincide with the table corners using the ruler method. Then use oh, lets say, a 10” measurement from the outside of the now oval perimeter and I should have a nice oval template to make a table topper. Yes, and remind myself to stay stitch before turning. I am so happy that you chose this because I have wanted to make an oval for each season since I retired from nursing. Whoopi this project is what I am going to bring for my Adult Education Open Sewing project this coming Tuesday. Thanks, thanks, thanks. Your videos are by for the very best. And I am a long time quilter. Wouldn’t miss even one. From Maine.

I have really enjoyed all your tutorials on runners and placemats. Good size projects for me. But I would love if you did more round or square toppers.
