    These are lovely Kris. I have just ordered a whole lot of feet for my Brother and these will be good to try them out on. eg, the free motion sewing foot, not sure if I have a talent for that because, well, I've never really gotten into it. Then I have on order a quilting ruler foot and some templates, again, never tried it before. They were really cheap, coming directly from China but you have to wait months for them to arrive. I'm sure a long distance swimmer could get from China to Australia quicker!! but anyway we pay double or more the price of what I paid here so I figure if it doesn't work out for me I haven't lost a lot. I just bought a new bench table and chairs for out on our deck. I had a really nice big table and chairs but it was too big, don't know what I was thinking. Anyway I gave that to the family. I will make some placemats with your squares and practice some different things. Looks good fun. I am busy making some cat cones/collars for our vet at the moment so when that is done I can start to organise my fabrics etc. It's a good project to take to guild meetings also. Thanks, great idea.

    • @SewtheDistance
      @SewtheDistance  3 года назад +2

      Wow! You will be busy! Before the move, I would practice free-motion quilting for fifteen minutes each day and my skills definitely improved to the point that I wasn't half bad at it! I haven't tried in months. I should do that again! Right now, I just finish everything with the walking foot. Thanks for the reminder! These would be great to practice one, that's for sure, especially because there are a lot of intersections and seams. Have fun with your new feet! I hope they get there sooner than later!

    • @alisonmary1443
      @alisonmary1443 3 года назад

      Hello, I also ordered feet from China and they are not bad at all. The walking foot wasn't walking so I had to buy the real thing, no regrets. The simple feet from China have been great, just thought I'd share this with you to give them a thumbs up 😊🌸

    • @suestutzle2779
      @suestutzle2779 3 года назад

      @@alisonmary1443 Thanks Alison, I am looking forward to WHEN they arrive. Yes, I figured that since they were only a couple of dollars (AUD) if they are no good I haven't lost a lot and also if I am no good at it then it won't matter. I have also ordered a fringing foot and a stretch knit foot and something else that escapes my mind just now, would have to look up the orders. Have fun with yours.

      @suestutzle2779 3 года назад

      @@marynichols1034 I bought my feet my AliExpress. They are based in Singapore and have several 'shops' that you can buy from. I have a brother sewing machine and I found The Candy Shop had a lot of feet for Brother Machines. I have received two feet already from two different suppliers and so far so good. They took ages to arrive but came in one piece which I always worry about coming all the way to Australia and the post is not kind to parcels. Have a look at them and see what you think. They are really so much cheaper than what I can buy the same thing for here.
