You guys rock! In the final stages of a 7' x 20' addition to my house. I wish I was allowed to stay at 80%
hahaha!! Oh Terry, I think 100% is always the best choice for sure! lol!
When you said “Because really it wouldn’t be Brotherson work if it was done more then 80%” Mike said “Oh yeah, these are our people.” 😂
I love the keep it real. I want to know what works and doesn’t work. Please keep the keep it real!
Putting some bubble foil under the floor would be an easy solution for insulation
Oh! That’s a great idea!
Love it!! The plywood floor was very creative and inexpensive upgrade. And of course my favorite part was the coffee shelf!! 80% done and 100% satisfaction! 😜👌🏽
Oh THANK YOU Ursa!! 😁😁😁😁
It's funny to see others doing and experiencing the same things! Awesome!
😁👍
Giving us all hope one video at a time
hahaha!!! Absolutely!!!
Glad this setup works for yall. Homeowner ship is the corner stone of financial freedom. I prefer what’s considered by real estate definition “real” real estate. That’s where you obtain value. Land is valuable, but not as much as a structure conjoined to the ground. Owning your deed is priceless.
Hmmm, well I would say that its the LAND that is more valuable. Yes a structure is needed to live....but you can't eat the structure. You just need something that keeps the rain off your head, warm in the winter, cool in the summer, and is safe. Which we have found that these alternative structures are both fun and functional! And cheaper!
Looks like 90% to me. I'd ad. in that rod for hanging clothing, and an inexpensive rug and call it done,
Haha! Deal!! Hanging rod and rug. DONE! 🤣🤣🤣
I love y'alls sense of humor.
Great job! Love the coffee shelf and the 80% done, 150% happy ending!
haha! I am so excited to see how many people are enjoying the 80% part. I had no idea! lol
@@BetterTogetherLife the 80% club seems to be huge. I showed this to my dh … he laughed and laughed… and said, “I like these people!”~from another 80%er.
Red Guard is fabulous!
Absolutely!
You could totally add some pipe from that shelf above the window in the laundry room for a hanging rack! It'd be idustrial looking and nice
I love the idea of the extra room on the deck. Question for you all. Where does your grey water go?
Currently just in the septic. We could however do something better and have it go into more productive trees. But for the moment, just the septic.
You gotta walk through going: I’m so fancy…🎵🎶
Hahaha, so true!!!
you could cut a hole in the wall to the house and make a dirty clothes chute
Hi..... Thank you 🎥👍👍👍
Happy you got this fixed.
Thank you Sally!! 😁
I saw that opening in the video I just watched where you guys were featured by another person, I knew right away that critters were going to end up in there. 😅
In the laundry I would have a folding cloth line on the wall. One that you open up and then collapse.
Oh GREAT ADVISE!!!
I love it....so beautiful...u def need a bar to hang stuff 💕💕
Absolutely we do! Thank you Niccho!
Looks great. I would be happy with it, my laundry is under a lean to
Thank you Susan. Yup! Many homesteaders due laundry outside in a lean to or garage or shop etc. You do what you gotta do!
That needs to be a t-shirt!
Which part? The 80% statement?
@@BetterTogetherLife yes!
Life is short!
80% done
150% satisfaction!
Do yall have a link for that tankless water heater?
House was built in 1985 and I have a water heater from 1992 😬😱 showers are freezing during winter 🥶 I may get 2-5 mimutes of hot water!!!
It's that you, in video in Rhode channel ?
Maybe?! We are friends with Justin and Rebekah and We have been on their channel several times.
Oh…..and I edited all of the bus graphics on his Great American Farm Tour movie. 🤣
@@BetterTogetherLife I knew it 😲😁, several times I watch Justin Rhodes video so inspiring with there kids. That's great for family and future of the kids.
I love Andrew
I’m very recently widowed. I want to move to NC near my daughter and have a small shed to home and homestead. My fear is not being able to find a place where I can legally do this. Can a shed be made to code? Is there a place I can get more information? I don’t want a tiny house on wheels which seems to be the easier way to be legal.
I’ve read you can have a mother in law or guest place if it’s not the primary residence. I thought about buying property with a fixer mobile home already on site and claim it’s the primary residence but don’t know if a mobile home is acceptable or if it has to be stick built.
I have always wanted to do this but I’m afraid of buying property and then finding out I’m not allowed to do it. I’m limited in funds. I’ve read stories of the government coming in and literally bulldozing homes. Any advice would be appreciated.
Sherri, it is very possible that local governments can have restrictions if you aren't careful. The best advise I can say is do your research and find property in a county with ZERO building codes or restrictions.
@@BetterTogetherLife Thank you. I appreciate the advice.
How do you make sure your pipes don’t freeze?
Well, we live in Texas. 😕 But I’m sure there are people up north that have homes with crawl spaces, right?
@@BetterTogetherLife honestly I’m not sure. I’ve rented since I’ve been an adult and my husband and I are just now thinking of doing a shed to house to be financially free and homestead vs going the traditional route. That’s something we will have to look into but I appreciate you taking the time to let me know & respond! Your account has answered so many of my questions!
Nice job
😊
Love from India ❤
Thanks!
