For me this would be like living in a mansion. My husband, adult son and I live in a 19x20 building with no bathroom or running water. We do have electricity. Been living this way for 5 years. Was suppose to be MAYBE 2 years to pay property off then build, but life happens and still haven't been able to build. You live the life your given and try to stay positive through it all.
You have heard this,in due time. I live in a shed also I have a rv with water and a small cooking station, a work in progress. It is hard but, you will get there.
I'm 72 and building a floor from free pallets will be doing the walls also from free pallets standing up tall to get the 8 foot height I need and am using bags for insulation (Walmart) makes a nice room for storage or a small bedroom. Good luck.
Guys, I just wanna say, as a grandmother now, to be able to see the real love you guys share, is sooo refreshing. Hold on to it no matter what comes. It is a gift now a days. God bless you and your family.
I read the entire Ryan's ruclips.net/user/postUgkxGqOCINHE0Z0E5gxzSdNi9NWGugRY5Hm2 Plans and was able to make a shed plan. Using Ryan's Shed Plans alone, the shed itself is great. Where I wish I knew more is with respect to ground preparation and foundations. Maybe that's beyond the scope of Ryan's Shed Plans.
@@BetterTogetherLifeI've got to second that! I've been paying off a tiny lot to build on and feeling paralyzed by so many options, fear of what I don't know, and unlike you two, trying to get it done all alone.
I love your home, I live in a 864 sq ft 1928 house. YOUR floor plan is much better, but i sure like my smaller house, Im 63 and my mother is 85. We just don't need bigger, with the storage shed outside.
I'm so proud of u & people like you I've been trying to get enough together to hire a plumber & electrician to move into a tiny house but my SS ck can't cover it I've tried to save for 1 year. I don't know anyone to help me with this I live on a small community but no one wants to help. do u have any ideas ? (I'm 81)
I love love love her t-shirt. I used to be a liberal idealist in college but once I started homesteading I realized the government doesn't actually help anybody but themselves. It's up to us as good people with good hearts to help all the people around us. The moment we outsource our responsibility to a self-interested privileged class we introduce inefficiency and corruption. I want to end world hunger so I'm doubling my garden space to feed a needy family in my community. If everybody else does this, we can solve the problem. The govt prints money but they can't print food or love. We can all be the solution ourselves ❤️
A major role of government is to "spend for the public purpose", but for decades CORRUPT government has issued money to enrich the few. Also, most people have zero clue that "privatization" is actually their major scam, designed so they can EMBEZZLE endless government money!! We need to expose their lies and corruption in order to end their reign. Almost everything they tell us is lies to cloak their embezzling. You know how what they say and do usually doesn't make sense to us "regular people"? That is because they are always telling lies and doing crazy things to do more corruption! If you want to know some specifics, here they are, so we can know what is actually behind their curtain of lies. I know some of this will seem crazy at first, but give it a read and see how it actually puts the pieces together better than what the corrupt money ADDICTS tell us. Here is what the US criminals do all over the world, since WW2: 1. Take over a country by coup, assassination, lies about government being corrupt or by threat or invasion so they can... 2. Implement their EMBEZZLING scam of "privatization", taking over government services & systems and national assets so the corrupt liars can handle fiat government money & BILL THE GOVERNMENT ANY AMOUNT for running such things; they provide themselves with massive exec salaries and insanely high profits, becoming oligarchs and billionaires. 3. Lie to the public ENDLESSLY to keep us duped. 4. Praise leaders who submit to US corruption & demonize leaders who RESIST or reverse it - like Putin, who reversed the US plundering done under US puppet Yeltsin, like Chavez and Maduro in Venezuela, like Gaddafi wanting things nationalized and government money going to THE PEOPLE, like Morales in Bolivia, like Assad who said NO to a US pipeline through Syria, and so on. We need a successful INTERVENTION on the lunatic money ADDICTS in power who lie, destroy and KILL for more "money fixes". They are totally UNFIT TO GOVERN and should face charges of dereliction of duty, violating the Constitution, embezzling federal money, crimes against humanity, war crimes and more.
Instead of growing food for a needy family, why don’t you show them how to grow it themselves. “The moment we outsource our responsibility…….”. Let it be their responsibility to grow their own food. Give a man a fish and he eats for one meal, teach a man to fish and he eats for a lifetime.
My first home was a 700 sq.ft. mid-century fixer upper. Had 2 rooms, 1 bath and kitchen. This is sooo much more room because it's well planned out. Well done!
Yes I did it, I grow up in a 700 sq foot house, 6 people Two bed room small front room small kitchen one closet one bathroom. It was built in the 40s by my father.
Shedding the stress is the best thing I've heard all year. Your home is adorable and so efficient. Thank you so much for sharing it. The kitchen is amazing.
This is so gloriously modern pioneer!! At first I thought, there is no way I could have multiple children in 800 sq ft, but then I realized pioneers probably made it work with MUCH less comforts than what we have today and probably with the same amount or more kids. Love this! Also…love your t-shirt!
Size? In one of my grandfather's diaries he wrote of living in a 14x 14 "soddy" on the Dakota prairie. That was 2 adults, 2 children, to start. Later a 3 rd child added.
Homeschooling 7 years now and no dead things on our shelves. Lol God bless your new baby, your family, home, and land. I love your home, and land. We’re a family of 9 in the suburbs of a big city and wish we could move to have land and be more self sufficient.
Hi Valerie. May I ask you something…. We are working up our course “Get Off Your Tail & Homestead” and I would LOVE your thoughts…. When you say you’d love to move onto land…..what are the top 2-3 things that hold you back?
I homeschooled too!!! Great memories! One of the best, was a request by my son to save a rattlesnake shedded skin. I simply put it in a freezer bag….that skin stayed in my freezer for a couple of years!! Ahh, the fun!!!!
Love your space, it perfect! I home schooled all six of mine in a pole barn conversion -they're grown and gone now. We still have a collection of dragonflies, cicadas, feathers, seeds and other oddities on the shelves...it wouldn't be home without them.
From someone with four kids and has built several homes with my hubby, I think you both did awesome. I would love this space! And family life is transitional. These things work for you but as the kids grow, you will change things to accommodate your new reality. You have the ability to do that with this house. Oh, btw, love the shower curtain! LOL Best wishes on your new addition to the family!
New here just saw your video durning scrolling...Wanted to say...❤your home!! Our mobile home is not big at all 16x68...whatever you have the important thing is ..You make it work for you!
Absolutely love this! I just sent my husband a drawing layout of my ideas of shed to house (he’s deployed right now) and I think it’s got him convinced that it’s not only possible, but would be really exciting! I forwarded this video as even more support, the visuals really make it come alive. I’m gardening and learning as much as I can here in Central Texas, and your channel has been a great inspiration and motivation to keep going as it’s going to be a few years before we are able to realize these dreams ourselves…but I am determined! Thank you for sharing your journey and being so honest (and humorous) about the ups and downs, pros/cons… Life can be so beautiful and fun wherever we are, but I am so looking forward to the freedom and peace of space in the country. Even with all the hard work takes to get there and stay there! 😁
Oh Jennifer this is WONDERFUL!!!!! Thank you so so much for sharing. You 100% will make this dream come true…. I can tell! You are a go getter! 😁😁😁 Thank you for your kind words, and please never hesitate to contact us through email or Instagram DMs if you ever need anything!
I love it!!! I been trying to get my hubby on board for this..I have never been the type that needed a huge fancy house would much rather have cozy and close to my hubby daughter and fur babies... you guys did a great job and some day your children will look back with all the great memories and all the love!
I don’t think I could actually breathe in that space and with so many children around who actually don’t even go to school. The thought is nearly giving me a panic attack. And yet they seem so genuinely happy! Goes to show you how incredibly different people can be. Made me appreciate how diverse our needs are.
LOVE it!……..how creative and how ingenious! How this truly fights against the “bad” vein of our establishment! What quality of life as well! Homesteading is SO important to learn, know and become pro at! Individual independence . God Bless!
I love y’all so much! Y’all inspired me to get my shed home last fall! I’m living in it even though it’s far from complete. Thanks Beau and Kelly for all y’all do for the shed to house movement and congratulations on the newest member of your family ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Well done! 800 sq ft looks perfect. Outdoor laundry helps. And have always loved outdoor showers! Good job guys! Love the open ceiling makes a huge difference !
I love it. We will be moving from the large farm to something smaller land. I have been looking at sheds to convert to a small house. I have come up with an idea and am excited to see it fulfilled. I have gleaned a lot of ideas from your channel and you have really started the mental.juices to flowing. Thank you. Love your channel.
Oh my goodness your video and home is by far my favorite of all time ! This was so uplifting. Not only are you all a great loving family but offer practical and sensible living ! I also liked seeing your children home schooled. They have a nice life I think ! Love the farm animals. Great land space. I would love if you were my parents if I were still a child ! Great story you shared thank you!
Absolutely appreciate your shirt! I just ran into this video and your shirt is the reason I kept watching. I subscribed and am looking forward to watching more.
Families nowadays don't spend hardly any time together as a family. Nor are many people grateful for what they have, they want more, more, and more things, which mean nothing. If it can be replaced, it means nothing. You guys are wonderful family, and show what life is really all about.
Hellooo !all the way from South Africa 🇿🇦 you have opened my mind to understanding and wanting this space for my family.thank you keep up the good work..
Right now we are fam of 5 in two campers and always have little grandbaby and parents as well so your spot is totally up our alley !!! We are looking for property rn to start our home stead. Work in progress!! Thanks for the inspiration ❤
We lived like this. Family of seven. In a barn style shed. Practical interior not as homely as the one in your video. We’re planning on living like this again soon in a semi rural setting but starting from a blank slate. Definitely some great ideas here. You’re house looks great and seems very functional. Thanks for sharing😊
Your home is beautiful and it’s really all you need. We live in 3000 square feet in a city, and our eventual goal is a much smaller, more manageable home on some acreage. For many years we had 4 kids in 1000 square feet before this “big” 🏡, and it’s a lovely way to really spend time together as a family✨
Great work! Another great place to look for storage/design solutions in a tight space is boat/yacht design. Boat folks are masters of maximizing spaces and there are all sorts of cool products that run off of 12V, solar, etc...Boats ARE tiny houses that can float. Cheers!
I love this!! people look at me so crazy when I tell them I live in a shed haha. My best friend and my wife and I all live in a 10x20 double lofted shed with 3 dogs and 2 cats and honestly it’s great. Sometimes things do get tight when shuffling bigger items around but otherwise it’s great! Glad to see your guys build it’s wonderful and you guys have done an amazing job!
They are absolutely awesome! They are teaching their children real life skills, which in these days and times when things are so unsettled, we all need to know about farming, growing our own vegetables, and being able to live on our own. The bad thing is when you get older you need all of your medications, but if we had all live a lot cleaner like these people do and like people back in the day did we would probably have been healthier longer.
I love this video because I can show my boyfriend that shed living is possible. 800 sq feet is actually bigger than every apartment I've ever had. I love your shower curtain and I completely agree that the shower pan would take away the worry of water leaking between tiles on your subfloor ❤
I’m gonna comment again just to clarify and dissolve conflict, if you don’t have kids this is great. If you do, there isn’t longevity at all. Like my mind went to, what are you gonna do with the three musketeers when you can’t find someone to watch them and it’s the anniversary? What are you gonna do if somehow there is a financial burden and you are stuck there for a long time, while those kids all sharing a room grow..and mature…so how’s that gonna work? I’m sure there are logical and good answers to these questions for people looking into this, but I’m still gonna make my sarcastic remark, because it is kinda funny thinking what your gonna do in the valentines situation lol. Anyway, no harshness meant at all, carry on.
And one more thing, you can give your opinions about where people should be on the internet, but RUclips algorithm brought me here, me being here I assume gives you money, if you monetize. So future advice, don’t say that, on your own platform. Because that’s basically burning a dollar. And you wouldn’t burn dollars.
Hi, guys! I came across this video, and I loved it. I have been looking into going "tiny" when I retire in about 12 years, but with my hoarding history I'm not sure I would be able to pull it off. Your insight is very interesting and I love all your creativity to make your home work for your growing family. You make sure the whole family does things together, while you avoid everyone being all on top of each other. I commend you for what you have done and that your homestead is a work in progress. Much success to all of you in your ongoing and future projects, and blessings to your family! I'll stay tuned for sure!
Thank you sooooo much!!!! You get it for sure! You are the people we make videos for. THANKS again and please be sure to comment sometime in the future, we will always do our best to respond!
This is the best tiny house I have ever seen. It's perfect and I would love to have one just like it as long as I had the right property and plenty of space for gardens and animals. I am so happy for your family.
@@smiththomson95 I am doing great, hope you and your family are too. I so would love a home like your's. I love gardening and DIY projects. I am going to enjoy watching all your video's, I spend a lot of time doing that now (watching RUclips) and doing crafts, crocheting and sewing oh and don't let me forget I love to fish and I can just walk outside to the back yard to do that since I live on a huge lake. My husband passed away in his sleep Oct. 5th, 2022, he had been on oxygen for ten years so sometimes I get lonely living bymyself but I have a cat and dog and I have grandkids come over every weekend. I try and keep myself busy.
Nice setup! The outdoor shower and outdoor laundry wouldn't work where I live. It can get as cold as -40°C here in Alberta during the winter. It seems harder to live in a tiny home here when it is too cold to spend much time outdoors for many months of the year.
I live in 800 square feet with a family of 4. I have 3 kids. All I can say is that a small space is easier when kids are young, but as they get older (teens), it can be the cause of many arguements between emotional teens that need a place to get away from each other. I have just partitioned off part of my living room for an additional bedroom because of this. All of our bedrooms are very small and this way, my 2 younger boys can be separated in their own small rooms. It's made for a much more peaceful house, yet we are still a close family because our overall space is still small. This family may find that they need to add on or create additional space by closing in above that open ceiling kitchen later on, but that's a ways off for them. I personally think that we should all be living in homes that are 1000 sqft or less. It's more affordable, better for the environment and promotes the togetherness of the family.
Thank you for sharing… I am retired thinking about using shed to be near my children. Love your ingenuity and thank you for being real and not dressing up your home to impress! I love lived in spaces! I applaud how your family is living and loving!
Your home is a beautiful 🤩 I love the organization and the outdoor living areas. Two big porches, an outdoor shower and an outdoor laundry room! That’s so awesome. Country life is wonderful.
I loved how their kids are not in front of the screen all of the time and get a lot of outdoors exercise. Then watching on their screen together was wonderful! People who used to be close friends of ours and had four kids never, and I mean never, ever watched TV as a family. All the kids had TVs in their room, used as their babysitter, and they never monitor what they watched. I remember the oldest girl spent the weekend with us once and there was nothing on tv, we had cabled in, and I was watching The Walton's on a network that shows older TV shows, and she was so impressed and said what a great show was. And I asked her if she had never seen it before, and she said no, and I asked her if they ever watched Family TV together, and sadly, she said no.
What about if you're a prepper and have lots of things to store, would you go with a second small shed, or say something like an insulated conex for your supplemental storage? Thanks
Well yes, I will say that once we got our studio we were able to REALLY crank up our preps. And when we only had the main house it was certainly a skill of creativity on where to hide our food storage. 🫣 Haha! BUT!!!! When it comes to homesteading…. We prefer to store a portion of our food OUTSIDE in the garden and animals.
Beautiful home, you guys have a great attitude. A home in progress means a home that does not define how you live, but is a home that's evolving as needed.
I enjoyed this video so much, I had to subscribe. I am a very senior lady, who really enjoys seeing young people live in the manner y'all do. The rat race destroys families, always wanting the next best things until they are so in debt and their children are still not satisfied. Your children are and will continue to be so excited about life around them, their imaginations will run wild with all the space they have for outdoor living. Thank you so much for sharing and have a Blessed day.
My parents raised my brother and I in a house just a few square feet less than 800, but I don't think that they count the bathroom and laundry room in square footage. We had a very nice patio, and a huge backyard. My brother and I shared a bedroom until he moved out when he was 21, he was eight years older than me. No problem whatsoever, if the bedroom door was closed, we knocked. If the bathroom door was closed, you knew someone was in there. We had wonderful childhoods, and after my mother passed away, my husband and I moved into this house, and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. We also have an attic with a pull-down stairway.
I would have loved this! My husband and I would have saved so much money and arguing. Now at 74 & 78 we have found our comfortable and 55 years of marriage. Congratulations to both of you and your beautiful family. God bless you both Betty. 🙏🙏🥰🥰💕😘
Watching while doing dishes in my 40 ft 5th wheel ...your home is fantastic! 49 this year n still hope for your kind of paradise! Thanks for sharing and Congrats!
You guys are awesome, and I love you for sharing so much detail of what works, and where you’re looking to make modifications. Your shed to house conversion is most likely going to be my destiny and your sharing so much of the process is inspiring for my budget. So much of the land I’m seeing in my price range happen to have 1,000 sq foot minimum for the living space. I may do your double porch idea and close one/both in to finish off that square footage to meet those needs if that’s a stipulation I end up with.
I have one word this is a masterpiece. I love it. Y’all made the best of all the space that you have and everything is beautiful and I also subscribe today. Blessings.😊♥️🙌🏽
If I were to go tiny, I would definitely want to move to a warmer climate where outside living is possible more months of the year than where I live now. I love the concept of a well designed outdoor kitchen, laundry and bathroom while still having just enough kitchen, etc. to get through the poor weather times, be it too hot, cold, rainy, etc. For me, the whole lifestyle choice is about being outside as much as possible.
The only problem I would have about living in your 800 square foot house is, it's too big. Although I'm still building my house, it's 288 square foot house. I like my $25 electric bill for the winter and last August electric bill was $43. Best thing I did is going tiny.
The small house craze is something else. My wife and I bought our 570sf house in 89’ (starter home). Raised two daughters here and have now taken in great aunt to care for her. My grandpa built his and grandma’s retirement home (380sf) in Galena, Mo in 1967. “Tiny house so cute and small, but full of love and that is all”.
Was so so inspired by this video! I am so impressed, amazed and happy for you in raising your family to learn like all children should learn - by hands on experience, being outdoors and being self-sufficient. These are invaluable lessons in life and will be with them forever and hopefully when they grow and move on their own. They will have a solid foundation with which to carry on this amazing life lesson that cannot be learned or taught in school. Your children will learn more by this lifestyle than in any thousands of dollars college or school on this earth. I praise you and applaud you and wish you success, happiness and love in this amazing lifestyle you have chosen and created. And create by hard work, sweat and tears and over time. It is an ever-evolving experience. Truly inspirational!!! May God bless you and keep you in this lifestyle I believe that He(or She) meant for all of us to have!
Love it you guys! Such a great job. I have wanted a tiny home for years. We are both retired on a small income. I really want away from apartment living. The separate laundry are and outside shower are wonderful!
A few things. Your shower grout does nit matter. The waterproofing feature is a rubber pan liner underneath your tile. Also, you inspired us. We have 4 kids and decided to start homesteading. We had a few issues. UPB told us that in our state the DOT had a restriction on height of buildings during transport so our lofts would only be about 3 feet. We couldn't do that. Also, in TN living in a "ready removable" is ILLEGAL. So, instead we've bought 5 acres and built a barndominium, doing a lot of work ourselves. It all started with a built on site metal shed.
Wow I really want one of these Amish cabins to put on my in laws farm and these ideas are so unique and special!! Y’all are amazing! Can you post a link to the Facebook group?
If one of your decks are south facing, you might want to add plastic wrapped panels. We did this in our home in Illinois on a 12 x 26 and deck. We basically made 3 x 8‘ panels that we put screening on and a second set of panels with plastic. We put them up late Sept or early Nov and in the fall and spring the plastic would help the deck heat up so much that it could heat our house. We didn’t turn on our furnace till late November and we were in northern Illinois. Passive solar is a great way to cut down on heating bills. Love what you’ve done.

This video gives me hope. I have a family of four which is way smaller than this family. And I always thought a shed or tiny home would be way too small for three bedrooms… I have one boy one girl so they need separate rooms and me and my girlfriend need a room. I thought it couldn’t be done but this proved me wrong. I am amazed at how nice and spacious this looks. I live in a single wide right now and I don’t own the land. My home is like 1200 square feet but this shed home feels much bigger.
An 800 sf house sounds dreamy. my house is not only too large, it's not wheelchair accessible. It's like being stuck in someone else's life. I would dearly love an accessible tiny house on a little piece of land somewhere. Maybe not to the extent y'all are doing it, but some chickens and a goat or two would be well loved. Thank you for sharing 9999999999999
Thank you so much Katarthere for your kind words. Yes, we probably will need to extent our porches in order to make them wheelchair accessible for our parents someday. Thank you again!!!!

This space is so beautiful, open and functional! It's the same size as an average 2 bedroom apartment so not really unusually small. The problem will start in a few years when the kids are older.
Why does everyone think this is tiny or small? Most of the apartments I've lived in have been 600 square feet or less. I admit that 800 square feet may feel small with kids, but there are so many people showing their 'tiny' spaces which are actually pretty good sized.
Have you thought of getting rabbits? I believe they are an such animals to raise on a homestead because rabbit pool is a cold fertilizer and instantly usable in gardens, and they also breed fast, providing tons of meat throughout the year.. i highly recommend it if you have the heart to handle butchering and processing cute little bunnies.
Hi there Matthew THANK YOU!!! Well convincing a spouse for this kind of life is never easy. We recorded a 2 part podcast on this very subject! If you want to know some specifics, here they are, so we can know what is actually behind their curtain of lies. I know some of this will seem crazy at first, but give it a read and see how it actually puts the pieces together better than what the corrupt money ADDICTS tell us.
Here is what the US criminals do all over the world, since WW2:

LOVE IT GUYS!!
The wife looks at the husband with so much love!
Hello Cynthia how are you doing today?
My first home was a 700 sq.ft. mid-century fixer upper. Had 2 rooms, 1 bath and kitchen. This is sooo much more room because it's well planned out. Well done!
Thank you soooo much!! What a kind thing to say. 😁😁😁
Yes I did it, I grow up in a 700 sq foot house, 6 people Two bed room small front room small kitchen one closet one bathroom. It was built in the 40s by my father.
We did too! 6 people 2 bedroom 1 bath with 5' porch.

WOW - what a wonderful, organized and functional family. Parents obviously love each other. Great work and God bless.
Thank you so much Diana!!!
You don't know that. This is just a video on YouToob. You don't know how "functional" they are.
@@foobarmaximus3506 Greetings, Based on the video - they are functional. No other data available to me.
Shedding the stress is the best thing I've heard all year. Your home is adorable and so efficient. Thank you so much for sharing it. The kitchen is amazing.
Absolutely Shirley!!!!! Love it!
Yea you can get em off video games and have them do something productive outside.
I was wondering about the dead things. Lol
Hahaha, LOVE THIS!!!! Thank you so much for sharing!
Y'all have done a fantastic job!! May you always be safe and blessed!!!
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL LIFE YOUR CREATING FOR YOUR CHILDREN !!! 💕🙏🏻 GOD BLESS YOU! 😇💕

You have a beautiful family and beautiful home ! I absolutely love it !
Thank you Jo Ann!!!!
This is huge. Were a family of 8 in 16x28. Its totally livable.

I love this comment!!!! Thank you so much for not only sharing your different view point….but also encouraging ours!!!
You are AMAZING!!! 😁😁😁😁
Hello Leslie How are you doing?
I live in a 12x24 same design as yours no electric or water. Been here over 16 years. I love my life.
Well done! 800 sq ft looks perfect. Outdoor laundry helps. And have always loved outdoor showers! Good job guys! Love the open ceiling makes a huge difference !
I love your tiny house. I could live in it. Love the video. God bless
Loved you and your home!! So refreshing to see people taking their time with their home.
In your master bath I thought your wallpaper was a curtain to pull down for privacy. I really like it!
I love it. We will be moving from the large farm to something smaller land. I have been looking at sheds to convert to a small house. I have come up with an idea and am excited to see it fulfilled. I have gleaned a lot of ideas from your channel and you have really started the mental.juices to flowing. Thank you. Love your channel.
Oh thank you so much Joyce! I really appreciate your kind words.
You totally can do this!!! Small house, big land life!!
You're comment about the shower floor is brilliant. Thanks folks. Great house. Great family. May God continue to bless you.
Hello Laurie
How are you doing today?
You live in a super nice warm Home, gratulation i love it❤
Thank you for your kindness!
Families nowadays don't spend hardly any time together as a family. Nor are many people grateful for what they have, they want more, more, and more things, which mean nothing. If it can be replaced, it means nothing. You guys are wonderful family, and show what life is really all about.
Absolutely Kimberly, we agree 💯!
Hellooo !all the way from South Africa 🇿🇦 you have opened my mind to understanding and wanting this space for my family.thank you keep up the good work..
Walking in next to the kitchen makes absolute sense when you are bringing in groceries. The less distance with those the better..
Agreed!
I love the dramatic bathroom wallpaper in the small space
I would never guess that was a shed. Excellant interior design. Congrats on the baby coming too. Y'all are awesome!
Thank you so much Karyn!!
Right now we are fam of 5 in two campers and always have little grandbaby and parents as well so your spot is totally up our alley !!! We are looking for property rn to start our home stead. Work in progress!! Thanks for the inspiration ❤
One of the the simplest brilliant things ever r the two faucets n the one sink that's AWESOMELY efficient ❤️
For real, we love it!
Yes, but that is not a normal sink! It's so cool. I've never seen a bathroom sink that shape or size! I want one! Lol
Thank you so much for your comment! Yes you can absolutely make this work, it’s not always easy, but possible!
Thank you for your kind words!!
I love what you have done with your small house, everything is so compact and useful
Cheers!
Thank you so much! And yes, boars folks are the best!
This is one of the best I've seen , love the attitude of not being perfect to please others with the latest Pintrest post .... What a wonderful life
Oh thank you soooooo much!!!
Yeah, that's awesome I lived in multiple cottages that were smaller then that. They were actual houses though not herpy derpy sheds.
Love, love love your shirt!

I love this video because I can show my boyfriend that shed living is possible. 800 sq feet is actually bigger than every apartment I've ever had. I love your shower curtain and I completely agree that the shower pan would take away the worry of water leaking between tiles on your subfloor ❤
Yeah you can show him how having children in a confined space ruins relationships lmai
Yea man, this is not at all a helpful comment.
I don’t think you should be a part of our Better Together community. Please feel free to unsubscribe.
Ashley, you are 100% correct!!!!! So glad it gave you some ideas. 😁😁😁
I was thinking how much I loved the wallpaper at the same time you said you didn't love it. 😄
This is the best tiny house I have ever seen. It's perfect and I would love to have one just like it as long as I had the right property and plenty of space for gardens and animals. I am so happy for your family.
Hello Judy
How are you doing today?
@@judyhoffler Oh sorry about your loss mind if we text else where
@@judyhoffler You there?
Nice setup! The outdoor shower and outdoor laundry wouldn't work where I live. It can get as cold as -40°C here in Alberta during the winter. It seems harder to live in a tiny home here when it is too cold to spend much time outdoors for many months of the year.
I love the tile and wallpaper in the master bathroom! The colors on the wall too. 2 bathrooms is so important!
Dont love huge homes but we need some space for privacy.
Thank you for sharing… I am retired thinking about using shed to be near my children.
Love your ingenuity and thank you for being real and not dressing up your home to impress!
I love lived in spaces!
I applaud how your family is living and loving!
You are so welcome!
What a fantastic home!! Thank you for sharing the video, as well as giving perspective about the "why" behind the decisions.
Thank you so much Lisa!!!!
What’s an insulated conex ❓
@@peggyvick935 an insulated shipping container.

Lordy I feel like a moron. 🥴

Beautiful home, you guys have a great attitude.
A home in progress means a home that does not define how you live, but is a home that's evolving as needed.
Absolutely Dennis! We agree with you 💯!!
Thank you Margaret!! Totally agree with you about the rat race, we had to GET OUT!
It’s beautiful! You guys live outside the bubble. Good for you and my God bless your beautiful family. 🙏🏻
Kimberly this is AMAZING!! Yes!! That is what I want, my kids to be best friends growing up super close with each other. Love this!!
I would have loved this! My husband and I would have saved so much money and arguing. Now at 74 & 78 we have found our comfortable and 55 years of marriage. Congratulations to both of you and your beautiful family. God bless you both Betty. 🙏🙏🥰🥰💕😘
Love this! We also do the Charlotte Mason style homeschooling for our 4 boys. My wife's library wouldn't fit in your house though...
YUP! That is always an option to close in the porch.
Thank you you so much for your kind words!
I have one word this is a masterpiece. I love it. Y’all made the best of all the space that you have and everything is beautiful and I also subscribe today. Blessings.😊♥️🙌🏽
Oh wow, THANK YOU Pamela!!!!
Diane….. ABSOLUTELY!!!!!! You hit the nail on the head!
This is amazing!!! This has blessed so many! I can't wait to show my husband and son!!
The only problem I would have about living in your 800 square foot house is, it's too big. Although I'm still building my house, it's 288 square foot house. I like my $25 electric bill for the winter and last August electric bill was $43. Best thing I did is going tiny.
Do you live alone?
Leslie that is so awesome!!! Barndos are GREAT!!!!!! Yea, unfortunately some states are weird about Shed to Houses.
But huge congrats!!!
Maybe it depends on the county. We're in a sparsely populated, rural county inTennessee, and there are lots of people with shed to homes here.
Love the wallpaper in the second powder room! The one with the navy background is so cheerful!
Yay, thank you Janet!!
Wow I really want one of these Amish cabins to put on my in laws farm and these ideas are so unique and special!! Y’all are amazing! Can you post a link to the Facebook group?
Of course! Facebook.com/groups/shedtohouse
Great idea!!!
Love the house but even more I love the wife's shirt!

This is so much more realistic than the portable tiny houses on wheels if you have kids!
Yup, that was our thought as well six years ago when we first started planning this adventure!

Of everything that you mentioned, I know this might sound weird, but can we get that sour dough pizza recipe? I would love to try that with my teens!
WOW I HAVE A 10/20 ..Im hoping I can at least try the same with such smaller space..
I love this home. It's definitely not tiny, but they have a very large family. Love the lifestyle!❤
Lol, have you ever watched "The Bus Life?" They have 10 kids in a bus!! Love your home, 🏡 too❣
Oh wow, no we haven’t seen them! We NEED TO!!!!
10 kids. Wow. That's alot of hard work 😁😁
This space is so beautiful, open and functional!
I think tiny can be relative to your lifestyle. Micro would be an extreme term for our home. But 7 people in 800 square feet is small to us.🤷♀️
Have you thought of getting rabbits? I believe they are an such animals to raise on a homestead because rabbit pool is a cold fertilizer and instantly usable in gardens, and they also breed fast, providing tons of meat throughout the year.. i highly recommend it if you have the heart to handle butchering and processing cute little bunnies.
We used to raise rabbits, we even made a video about why we no longer raise them.

I love your idea of using the shed for a Tiny house. So cute and functioning. Thank you for sharing your amazing farm house. You family is so inspiring to me....I dreamed to have a farm Tiny house ine day. GOD BLESS your family and your farm.
Honestly at 800 square feet with those huge porches this house can't be classified as a tiny home
Jeremy, did we say we live in a tiny house? Maybe we did.
But my main question is….. how many square feet per person do you consider a “tiny house”?
I think you nailed it with the high ceilings! I will have to do this, as feeling claustrophobic was one of my main concerns with tiny living 💖

Love seeing all the progress you have made on the house. It's beautiful, I love it. And also I love your vintage t-shirt but didn't see it as an option to buy. Definitely want to buy some of your merch!
