Would you live in this Tiny House? Answer: yes, no, maybe but _____
MOST DEFINITELLLLLLLYYYYYYY YES...!!!! 👌🏽👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍
Yes
Yea but at least 400 with a standup loft
Maybe, but I would have connected the two structures. It gets cold in the winter there!
Yes, but in a different location. I don't do well in the cold.
This is similar to what a family member of mine did out in Utah. They had 7 tiny homes on their property at one point. They have 5 kids and the mother is a master electrician while the father is a retired construction worker/master plumber. The kids would turn 13 and my aunt and uncle would help them design a tiny home and help them build it from scratch so by their 16th birthday they each have a tiny home that’s ready to go and then each cousin would be taught handy man skills, and never be homeless. Each of them got a small truck or suv and took their home with them when they went off for schooling or education. They said each “mobile home” as they called it only cost them 4-5k because of recycled materials, their know how and skills and they owned all their own tools and heavy equipment from their jobs.
Wow that's so awesome and thoughtful! Helping the next generations by teaching them useful skills a, passing wealth of knowledge has no price. Your family is blessed. Just Beautiful.
What a skilled family
That's really cool, your family is hella talented. Thanks for sharing the neat story. :D
This is what we are doing with our children.
This is beautiful!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Twenty years ago I was reading an article about alternative lifestyles. A dad, got custody of his two sons unexpectedly. They were 12 and 14 years old. He lived on a property in small used RV. Fine for 1 adult, but not with a teen and preteen. After looking at options. He bought 2 small used RVs and hooked them up to the existing electric, well and septic. He and the boys built a large deck that the trailers each opened up to. They remodeled the trailers to each boys taste. All of the males were happy. Everyone felt connected yet with private space. A great way to inexpensively solve the needs of all. This was before the tiny house movement took hold.
genius
I’m more inclined to do the stationary RV living. I enjoyed this while living in AZ. The only draw back is insulation. Those “tin cans” really get cold at night, and super hot during the day.
Thank you for sharing the inspirational story.
Most people don't need much more than a hotel room worth of space to have all the comforts. Yet our housing options are all much, much bigger. Tiny movement isn't going away any time soon....
Why is it that in all these youtube videos they always show a couple rich idiots just dinking around taking years to build their stupid house but in real life it's always someone desperately cobbling together a camper to barely scrape by?
@@p.chuckmoralesesquire3965 right? where were they living for a YEAR of their remodel?
I admire their resilience. They didn’t see the crash as a tragedy but as an opportunity to remodel and redesign their tiny home to suit them even better. Well done 👏
They obviously have plenty of $$$!!😲
@@debcobern312 l don’t think so. They’ve used their money well and rebuilt their original home not started from scratch. This is still far cheaper than buying a traditional home somewhere.
Mental toughness, lucky them.
What an amazing lifestyle they are living
I want a tiny house that’s stationary like this. I have no desire to lug my house across country and this way I could make it more square if I wanted to. I’d have a second building as a little art studio.
Same. I just want a tiny house so it's cheaper. I have no need for a 2000sqft house
@@Jon-kg6hm seriously, and it doesn't seem like most places are building smaller homes. They are all huge.
What I love about this is the two houses. They complement each other so well. Also starting with one allows you to start cheaper and eventually add on for more functionality. I'm thinking you could even connect the two so you walk from one area to the next like a single home.
I love the fact that has such a large outdoor space and it's sort of like a second living room.
Same. I want to make 2x tiny homes on a tiny house property, with a deck just like this. But I would join them as a L. Have one as a two bedroom for me and my youngest, with small bathroom and kitchen and dining. The second as a space for my older two, with larger bathroom, and living entertainment area. Two bathrooms because lots of kids, and of course then we don’t have people roaming from one to another late at night and waking everyone up.That would give the older kids privacy and space to bring friends.
And when my older two move out my youngest would be old enough and could take their space if he wanted.
Lol. I may have given this a lot of thought.
Love this concept. Now if we could just come together and make tiny homes available so no one has to be HOMELESS!!
That would be so awesome!!
. 😮 😮. 😮
I agree with you.
This already exists. Hence this video and tons of others. But people have to see this as a viable life instead of a “downgrade”
Issue is, even if you house the homeless, some won’t work or look for ways to maintain it. So who’s going to pay for it ?
These are cool when you are younger and agile. There will come a point where the ladder to the sleeping loft and storage is no longer practical or safe. Even the stairs would be problematic. With their second house they can stay here longer as it could eventually be the bedroom. Getting old can really suck. 😁 It sneaks up on you.
And double break in legbone
...some age better than others!!! Also for some, will continue to rise to the challenge!!! Amen!!! The exercise is good!!! Amen!!! With the Holy God "All" things are possible!!! Amen!!! Amen!!!
Oh I think about that every time I see a tiny home design where the adults bedroom is up on a loft and they choose a ladder to get up to the main bedroom. I've been watching these tiny home build videos for years now and I have to say that from when I started until now, I know for a fact I would have not been able to continue climbing to the loft now compared to when these videos started coming out. As you get older, no matter how active you are, father time will start catching up to you.
My back unexpectedly went out earlier this year (I'm an otherwise healthy 36yo) and now I shudder every time I see a loft bed lol
@@TheOneLawgiverHolyGod god probably won't replace your hip
They have such a cute set up. And I love how there's space for each of them to exist without always being on top of one another
The deck makes a huge difference. Like an additional room during especially summer.
Well done!
It must have been such an ordeal to see their home crash.
They’re certainly resilient.
I like the idea of two separate buildings. It seems like it would make having overnight guests more comfortable.
The porch is amazing.
This is my vision for my future, two tinies side by side. Maybe with a breezeway. Nicely done. Especially the comeback after the tiny crash!
i have a tiny 2br/1ba home for sale in Memphis (not the best neighborhood but livable). the house has a hole in the floor from a roof leak, but for 1k you could hire that fixed. message me if you have interest 6k and the house is yours! Roof will be repaired for before you buy. house is 635 sq feet and brick.
@@endpovertynowinc5844 owner finance option?? down payment??
There’s something so freeing about watching people live like this!
The idea of seeing your home just rolling backwards down a hill must have been so devastating. I love seeing the pictures of the before but the after is so fun too. Good for them for picking themselves up! Encouraging
I LOVE this idea!! If I were ever to get married again I would need a setup like this so we each could have our own house haha. Great video thx!
My cousin's husband once said that he and his wife would love to live in a tiny house....just not the same one lol
Also my version of a perfect marriage setup. He can pick up his own dirty clothes and clean up after himself.
I am sooooooo glad I am not the only one to feel this way!!!!!
But put a 2 piece bathroom in the extra studio. And heating as well as a/c.
Facts!
That Breville "toaster oven" is actually a real convection oven. You wouldn't know it wasn't a "real" oven if it wasn't so small. It's amazing.
Good to know. Thanks.=)
I love my Breville!!
I've bought Breville for years, in/out of the US, have yet to ruin a blender. If my now vintage toaster oven goes I'm going to get a Breville
Love our Breville convection oven!
Many come larger Too I can use a George Foreman’s Grill in place of you’re ovens
To cook all your protein and veggies on
Love the honesty -- they just needed more space. And they have to be admired for coming back from the crash!
It is between the extremes we find balance. For myself I want big land and a small house...Something I can work on till I don't want to anymore.
Yes I would live there! What a dedicated couple to recover, rebuild and experience their dream. And the fox would be very comforting neighbor. Thank you for sharing. 🕊
Oh God! My heart dropped when I saw the tiny house crashed! 😭... Glad they were able to rebuild it!! 😍
Same 😬♥️
I'd love to see a follow up video about winter living in this tiny house set up.
The projector screen is the most clever thing I have seen in a tiny house yet. Thanks for the idea. I am designing my own at the moment.
Great to hear of somebody remodelling their tiny house and what they realized were important changes they wished to make. Thanks!
I live close to this area. I had heard this county was not tiny house friendly. I’m glad to see they have made it work- a Phoenix project both in regard to the rebuild and starting fresh after a fire. Good Karma.
Hi Carrie ,how are you doing?
what a great idea to have done a deck and the second tiny/shed which looks like the main house in color, so it looks like a bigger house. Awesome!!
Hello 👋 dear, how are you doing?
Hello beautiful your smile is princess!!
Beautiful build. What’s really important & necessary is that they’re able to haul it away to safety if another fire happened…
Are you KIDDING me Jenna?!! Been in my TH for 3 years - all I need currently is some acerage, a giant deck and a Tiny"er" buddy house like this couple - This is amazingly set up and functional!!!! thank you for sharing. stay well - Tiny in Texas
I like the idea of a compound like setting with the different small buildings connected by the large deck.
That countryside looks lovely as well
I always thought about putting a few tiny spaces on the sides of a tiny house. Great addition for growing children and guests. So making them like mini suites, with bedroom, compact bathroom and a small kitchenette type set up in at least one for adults.
That’s a badass little set up. I like that they have two houses so they can have full-size rooms.
Hello 👋 dear, how are you doing?
Hello Tricia how are you doing!!
Love your sweet old dog!
I recently saw a video on a tiny home which was converted from a bus. This couple had 4 kids. The parents loved the "closeness" that they would have with their children. A little closeness is fine. 6 people living directly on top of one another is not so fine. And because their home was originally a bus it would be tight quarters anyway. I love the 2 tiny buildings being beside eachother. Sometimes, you need some time off with the one(s) you live with. These people have the right idea. Really love what they did with both of the buildings.
Hello Cindy, how are you doing?
I already had an idea of an outdoor living space for my next 'terra firma' build. This is perfect! Also, the foxes are awesome! There's rabies tablets you can put out for them that they'll eat and prevent them from getting rabies... check with the local extension office. Better to make sure the local creatures are safe too!
That second structure definitely makes sense. Perfect!
I love this. Just bought a tiny house after selling my home for 3 million cash. I am so excited.
Stacked washer/dryer always a lifesaver! I really like how this panned out for them ❤️
Absolutely lovely! You did an amazing job rehabbing the house. I love the mini house too!
Amazing place! So glad that they pressed on and renovated their home to fit their needs! ♥️🙏
I think that's the way I would go too, adding rooms if and when they're needed. This is lovely!
I can't imagine ever being as happy as them and living in such beautiful surroundings. It must be an amazing feeling
Oh My! I just gasped when I saw the tiny home on it's side in the ditch!!! What an awful experience.... BUT.... it has all turned out beautifully!!!
Hi Eydie,how are you doing?
This new setup is one of my favorites. I like how you appreciate your kitchen and bathroom space and made that priority in your remodel.
This is just gorgeous. That shot at 0:17 is so beautiful. Glad they continued with the rebuild. It turned out beautifully.
THANKS FOR SHARING THEIR STORY...
SORRY FOR THEIR CRASH...HOWEVER THEY RECOVERED WELL WITH IMPROVEMENTS!
Right on toaster oven! Love Breville!
GORGEOUS! Thank you for sharing your lived experience of the crash and rebuild. You have GRIT!
That is what I want when I can afford it!! It's perfect especially with the deck build on and that extra room for a living room or guests. Excellent!
They did a great job with their home and seem to be very well-suited to each other as a couple. Sweet!
Hello 👋 dear, how are you doing?
I love this tiny house and the wonderful huge outdoor space! Makes me want to live in one. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!
This story feels symbolic to my life last year trying to get set up in Hawaii. Me and my partner talked about getting land there to live off grid but we had a hard time getting set up. So this is encouraging for me. Everything is still possible. Glad you guys like it more now. 💜💗💗💜
What a beautiful setup ! It looks so much more spacious from the inside.
I absolutely love the layout, the patio and your office/ extra living space.
Thanks for sharing.
Stay happy, healthy, hydrated and safe. May God continue to bless you and your family.
Right now the washer and dryer sound great to me! I love the whole deck situation❣️
Wow.That took a lot of work, and heartache, and yet MORE work, but - they've ended up with a wonderful and beautiful setup! I love it! I hope they have many more good years there, they certainly deserve it. Smiling, here...
I would live in a tiny house if I were a single person. This couple has made a comfortable and nice looking space for themselves.
Thank you for showing us your home and what you did the second time around. Ya'll are so innovative with your design and I love it.
Oh my gosh out of devastation and tragedy, they rise! Congratulations, you're overcomes that's for sure. Amazing story happy you are both okay. 💝🙏💝 prayers for you and your future. 💝🙏💝
Thank you! Something that’s not talked about enough is the logical next step to living Tiny. I built a 400 sq ft house for my daughter that can easily be doubled.
Such a pleasant space, home and land. Great job you two!❤
Great setup. Really enjoy seeing all the different tiny options.
I like the remodel, it is more open. I also really like the design you have on the outside. Very classic
love how you guys rebuilt even better than ever !!! I want to do something similar with two small yurts so thank you so much for all the great ideas. Best Wishes
Just wonderful! They never gave up even after crashing! The setting is absolutely gorgeous.
I used to live in Bellvue in the Buckhorn Canyon area. Great spot to live. Absolutely loved it up there. It was the first time I saw a mountain lion in the wild too.
I live this one. My favorite so far.
Beautiful tiny houses! 😍
Beautiful space. It is nice to see that in the end, people still want more space, more comfort, and want to settle down.
This is one of my all time favorites!
Love the music you use ❤
I'm glad they weathered that storm together. From an aerial view, their place is huge but no couch? That outdoor porch is fabulous
They have couch in the other building.
Wow! Beautiful home. Well done..what an achievement.
I'm in love with their tiny homes. ❤
What a nice setup
OMG. Just Beautiful, just what I want to have in a Mini Country House. Lovely. 🥰👍🙋🏻♀️
I'm so stoked about tiny houses! The more I watch videos about them and I learn about them, the more convinced I am about living in one permanently!! Thank you much for these videos..🙂
Yes you are amazing couple and so amazing that you got through the crash that was so sad 😞 but then you were able to not give up and redo or completely restore and make a beautiful home and even a deck now and another studio … it’s all so nice Congratulations
This is perfect. I deeply want a set up that wraps around a deck like this. I would probably go a little bigger with the house because 160 sq ft is too small for me because I couldn't do a loft bedroom but this is gorgeous. It probably would be a pain in bad weather but the physical speration would be psychologically good for me because I'd feel my work space/laundry was different.
Amazing home, thanks for sharing!
Thank you for inviting us into your Beautiful well thought out home. BLESSINGS of peace, protection and provision.
A wonderful home for a wonderful couple! This is an amazing home. I wish hubby and I could do something like this.
Bless them! What a disappointment to have a new home destroyed! But their fortitude has paid off and they now have a very comfy home that allows them to entertain, as well!
What an awesome property!! And I love the tiny house and the other house. Very nice layout as well. Of course, a property like this just begs to have a nice hot tub as well. Think about sitting out in the hot tub during the winter with snow falling and all around you. Anyways, even without a hot tub this is a very nice place.
I’m also from Kansas and have loved the idea of going tiny at some point. You made this home with so many livable features! Very creative which I think you have to be in tiny living.
Yes, because of this outstanding location!
I love these videos!!! Americans are use to having soooo much. Tiny homes give you basics and for many, that is just right. Not a lot of upkeep and not a financial drain. Allows you to do other things that are more important.
This is so well done.
Perfect, that's how I had always envisioned my tiny area to look like.
I JUST LOVE YOUR TINY HOUSE. I'M SO HAPPY YOU WERE ABLE TO REDO YOUR HOUSE. BEST OF LUCK.
WOW! Love this design! My husband, 6 year old and I, live in a 600 sqr foot studio and our biggest issue is with noise. My husband works from home, and I home school. We definitely need to build an additional work space.
I’m in a similar situation! I want a smaller (not quite tiny) home for my husband and I, our almost 6 year old son, and our 2 dogs… but since my husband works from home and I homeschool, I just don’t think it’s very practical. 😩
At least grandkids in adult children can’t moved back in if you have something lots smaller
You ve both done a great job of re building your tiny house, everything looks great
Thank you for the welcome and the sharing of your Fox Tiny House !
Very nice way to live, Foxes are great , Enjoy
Love to y’all from Loveland, Colorado ❤️ This was great!
What an AMAZING design and build! Y’all should be very proud! It’s simply beautiful!
yes, the porch between the tiny and mini homes is a game-changer! Great looking home.
Your initial experience with the crash reminds me a little of finishing building our first home in Texas and about a month or two later being hit with hurricane Alicia. As we had to rip out the carpeting I was thinking it could have at least waited until the carpet was old and dirty. We didn't sustain anything like your damage.
Beautiful Little tiny house
Hi Ann ,how are you doing ?
I love the screen door feature. Don't see those very often. Good move.
I absolutely love this set up.
A lot of people would have gone up after the crash, they just made their home better. Cool dog.🐕
Hello Diana, how are you doing?
Cute little set up
Hi Cindy ,how are you doing?
I loved it! Beautiful, bright, cute, roomy and fun layout. I could definitely live there.
I think that this is my favorite tiny house set up so far.
