I LOVE LOVE LOVE this home. Beautiful design, gorgeous kitchen sink, great paint job, loving the hexagonal window, the vanity nook is cute, the scenery is stunning, and Iko is the cutest pup.
I remember your first houseboat... this is a wonderful upgrade❣️ You really outdid yourselves. It's warm, welcoming, beautiful to look at, and very functional. So glad you kept a comfy couch. Enjoy your beautiful tiny houseboat 😍.
Brandon and Sarah...such an inspirational couple whose minds and hearts are always focused on the bigger picture of helping their neighbors, their community, and the environment. This was a great tour of their slice-of-heaven home.
1 dollar a gallon and you pump out 300 gallons a week = 300 dollars a week thats 1200 dollars a month that you just pushed over to the average tax payers a living expanse they should be taking themself based on their own choices of living on a floating home .. Yes must be nice to just push your living cost over to some other ppl. taxes..
What I love about people in this generation is that they are completely shattering traditional ways of life. This is what happens when you are allowed to paint outside the box at a young age. We now see that anything and everything is possible. I am not a jealous person, but I can admit I'm happily jealous of Sarah and Brandon's living arrangement. That being said, a win for one is a win for all! Bravo to you both. Thank you for the inspiration to all of us viewers :)
Well, actually it's not a generational thing at all. It just appears as if these things are more prevalent today due to social media and all the DIY TV shows out there. In fact, all the great ideas for solar and wind powered homes and off grid living in general actually fist came about in the 1970’s. And floating homes on both lakes and oceans have been around for a very long time indeed. There were also plenty of people living in vans way back when and the only difference between then and now is that back then you could not start a RUclips channel about your life in a van and make a lot of money off it. The bottom line is that while people have actually been doing stuff like this forever, it is only in the past 20 years or so that we have been exposed to their lives through social media and the like.
@@SLOBeachboyYou're right. This is nothing new and has nothing to do with this generation. Sharing it on social media is. Look at some old National Geographic magazines and you'll see all this and more from all over the world.
Not taking anything away from these two youngsters, but my generation was the forerunner for any/all ‘painting outside the box,’ thank you very much. 😊
The first time they were featured I was hooked by these two and now I watch every episode they do I agree Sarah and Brandon and Iko are definitely worth everyone's time they are awesome.
Hello Sarah & Brandon 👋. Nice to see you again, in your lovely new (and improved) floating home❤🎉 You two young folks have built a lovely nautical tupe home. I just love it, and appreciate your sharing it with us. I do recall meeting you and touring touring the first smaller fliating home. And yes, LOL, I remember seeing what a tight fit your bedroom mattress was! LOL... GOD bless you both, and I look forward to watching you again some day❤❤ You young folks give me hope for our future generations❤
What a beautiful home! I don’t think I would be able to leave it if I lived there. There isn’t a single thing I would change which is something to say. It’s not unusual for me to comment on a house and then add a “but” in there. I guess I could say I would add at least one more solar panel. Maybe 2 to help reduce the draw from the washer. But it’s not necessary…such a peaceful place and the chairs out front would definitely be a favorite spot. Love hanging chairs! You both did an excellent job. One last thing-LOVE that copper sink! That is amazing. God bless their home!
If you don't follow Sarah and Brandon on their channel, you don't know what you're missing. They are hardworking and so much fun to watch. Brandon is hilarious but most importantly he is humble. Go check out their yearly lake clean up that Brandon oversees. So glad they were featured again in this new build.
Have you ever considered travelling without that sweet dog, we are in our 60's and after a trip to mexico, and a trip on the rivers in england we will be done. We are used to lake Ont in waupoos we are happy to come and meet him on your time we are excelllent chefs and love the sparkles on the ceiling and the wind and storms coming across the water!
Wow, what an awesome tiny house and the nice thing is, it does not look tiny nor cramped!! That I could live in quite happily!! Great job!! Thank you for sharing!
What a fantastic couple you are!! You have built one beautiful home ~ it is so cozy, warm and inviting. And your "backyard" is truly amazing ~ what a glorious life you are living!! I saw your 1st boat, so can appreciate how much work you put into this one ~ you are awesome! Sending you light, love, peace, joy and abundance always. I love you, and your doggie.
A few questions, I hope you see this. 1. Do you pay any kind of slip fee for tieing to shore as you do? 2. You mentioned you have a city water supply. How do you attach to that? 3. Are you able to be where you are because of your jobs, or can anybody do just what you are doing on that lake? 4. Will you share the total cost of your build please?
What an awesome upgrade! Always nice to be able to create a 2.0 version and utilize what you learned from the previous one. They did a great job! What a fab thing to live in a floating house!

Ahhh it's the Joneses! This is the first overlap from a creator I already follow! So glad to see these two and their awesome tiny home. I missed the first video so I'll be watching that next.
Congratulations to you both for holding tight to what matters most in life. This was such a pleasure to watch and save to one of my all time favorite videos. It was like a nice cup of your favorite coffee or the smell of an apple pie baking in the oven. It was really that good. God bless you and your doggy too 🙏
About 5/6 years ago I spent Labor Day weekend on in a friend's houseboat on Fontana with my cousin, her husband, the friend who owns it, and his significant other. We had a blast! This house is next to what I understand is the only year round resident. I won't mention his name. Apparently, the tradition was for the crew I was with to take an evening to hang with said resident and bring shrimp, drinks, etc. He certainly is a character. Was such an interesting and fun evening.
I've been following Brandon and Sarah since shortly after they finished renovating their first tiny floating home. I have a feeling ill be following along on their life adventure for a long time as i also follow many sailing channels. I've never been sailing but i would give anything to be able to go on a passage. Great video covering this wholesome couple and their beautiful home.
I absolutely loved seeing this newest build of yours. I appreciate the scientific explanations that you both provided. I can listen to Brandon's drawl all day plus the humor & both of your shout outs to Mom. Both of your dedication to conservation is beautiful and to be commended. Future Blessings 🙏🏽
Btw, ty for the tour of your tiny house. It's amazing! Your tiny house is beautiful! Who says you need a huge castle just for 2 people, right? Tiny houses are the way of the future!
Love the house, very cool. Most interesting is the accent of the 2. For a Brazilian, that learnt "normal" english, without accent, is very different to hear them speaking, nice though. Congrats to Brandon and Sarah, they built a very nice floating house
Your channel is beautiful because you do your work from the heart and it is felt immediately from the first minutes of each video! All your new stories inspire something new and limitless in your life, and the examples of these people with their houses show that everyone can make childhood dreams a reality! Usually it's not that difficult, but the main thing is that the desire is as strong as a dream in your heart and mind, which can become a reality and inspire many others in the RUclips community! I sincerely thank the author of the channel and the people with big hearts who are not ashamed to dream no matter what, and inspire such a large number of people. I am sure that this video also moved someone and made it possible to feel alive again at full strength and to breathe a mouthful of dreams into your heart closed by the worries of everyday life! We also realize our childhood dreams by building miniature houses, and this gives us incredible delight and joy in our hearts and enormous variety in our adult and seemingly gray life, breathing so many colors into it! Thank you all for the wonderful! DIY!))
Great to see Brandon and Sarah's efforts featured over here! Well deserving of any recognition, they're so hard working and creative. And Iko - adorable.
Fontana lake is absolutely beautiful ! I love it there ! If I see yall I will tell my hubby to slow the boat down so not to sends waves towards your awesome home lol ...
I would need to have a rail around the upstairs loft to prevent falling off the edge. This would be important to guests who might forget where they are
This has to be one of my favorite places featured! It's so cute, cozy, unique, spacious, serene, and functionable. I'm so curious about "outside" the home functions, like... Do they own land to? Are their vehicles parked there? Do they boat into town?!?!? I have so many questions! But I'm also so much in love with it.
Great little floating house. But it was the couple that really brought it together. They did a very informative tour, and you left this video with wishing them all the good fortune they can get.
I love your new home! It's well thought out and the design and decor is beautiful. You two are such a nice couple. My very best wishes for your future. ❤😊
This would be great!?!!! There is a large lake near me and have thought why don’t people live like this??? But then every inch of land is developed and with the skidoos and motor boats running helter skelter you would not get one second of peace. You are truly blessed to be able to live inside a park.
I loved your first tiny floating home but this is tiny floating home 2.0. The location and the home itself is just beautiful! Great job marrying form and function to create a welcoming, comfortable space!
what would be cool would be a floating garden? I love your HOME!!!!!!!!!!! I wish I could do this in Minnesota. I think a bubbler system would solve the ice issues.
I LOVE this house! It's beautiful on the inside, the location is fantastic, and it looks so peaceful. I'm curious how it is with bugs out there on the water near all trees? Do you guys have any issues with them?
OK - Great home and all: moving with the level of the lake, the deck, not worrying about the weight of a tub full of water, the septic service subsidy (Kudos for that!), et. al.. However, that copper sink was a literal Steal! The bedroom window looking onto the greatest fishing hole and the wildlife is the cherry on the cake. What a beautiful build.
Great video. 7200wh that is a lot. I have a teardrop and I have 100wh I can’t wrap my head around 72 Xs as much Great job! I hope you can make many years of great memories there.
beautiful home! I would only suggest some nautical safety line or cable to prevent anyone from falling off the loft if they roll over when sleeping. :)
Absolutely beautiful and decorated spot on! Do you get to 'float' for free or is there a rental for your cove? This is a dream come true... water and mtn view.
Hands down this is one of my fav episodes ever.💯 And what an awesome couple they are together! 👏🏻🤓 They should start a business building these homes on water, I would be one of the first ones to buy one 🏠⛵
Beautiful home and a beautiful couple! I see what she meant about the difference between building a home vs remodeling a home. This one is much more useful and comfortable for them! I couldn't live this life, but it's lovely and I admire them for taking life for a ride- their way!
Love Iko, and what alot do know about the breed unlike others is they are very adaptable to living in tiny apartments to boats etc, they are a low barking, low noise dogs, but energy wise when they wanna go heads up lol, but before I get diareah of the mouth about Iko lol, love the new build just curious of where your located if the lake ever freezes up in winter months and how do deal with it thanks, and btw chi chi our rescue is waving a paw lol
I am so impressed with your home on the water. Wow!! Have a question, do you get concerned about bears coming onto your docks! Great job. Just beautiful!! ❤️❤️❤️. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks for sharing bits about of your work and accomplishments! I’m curious about the grant to subsidize pump out rates and would love to hear more. I’d like to see if this is something that our city harbors (Juneau, Alaska) would considered looking into. Thanks!
You dont get Sea sick! Wow I would be so sick of the rocking. Im one of those that motion gets me and I cant even watch someone swinging otherwise I get nauseas. Yes it ay be a mind thing but I was always a kid who needed a bag or pail in the car, poor parents if mine, but that IS SUCH A Gorgeous Home you two. Great Job!!Sending you many blessings too! Your dog is beautiful too!
How do you protect the floor from moisture and mold? Typically you'd need drainage etc to keep the RH low, but in this case it literally stands on water. Is it down to using impregnated wood or do you use some special construction?
I love it! I would have gone with more Solar, and maybe an additional battery, and removed the gas. A heat pump and induction stove should cover it. Less cost in the long run, and no need for outside sourcing.
