that is extremely interesting! Thanks
thanks for the tips!!
amazing !!!
haha... Holi is a festival in India where we play with these colours. Think of the tomatina festival but with Holi powder of different colours and water. That and flour ... and finally accessories we have in abundance in India. haha
Cool ,do you have a video of punching water ?
Can you please tell me how you use that high shutter speeds with flash lights?
Do you use a medium format camera with the shutter on the lense?!
How hard was the flour to get out the hair ? :o
Holi Powder is just cornstarch or cornflour dyed with food coloring gels.
You can cut out the Holi powder by buying food coloring gels and coloring the flour yourself.
I'll look forward to your youtube vid on how to colour flour...
Yesss ot with flour
nursefuzzywuzzy I like your hair
Nope. The authentic Holi powder comes from crushing dried flower petals and sandalwood powder.
Awesome stuff!!! Might I suggest using cornstarch instead of flour though. It is much whiter and I think it would the colors pop I think.
I'm looking into getting my first starter camera above point and click. I'm looking at the Canon T3i. Opinions?
nice photography
thanks for sharing!
amazing
so cool
What settings would you recommend for low-light/night shots with a Canon Rebel t3i 600D w/ kit lens? Thanks in advance.
Inspiring.
does it need to be a flash or can you use panels
Try using semolina with colours next time,it won't create much mess(like you said) and it is free flowing ! I'm an Indian and we use this trick often.Good luck ! - An admirer of your art :)
AWESOME
cool !
wich camera did you use to make the picture? a special one? I own a reflex camera, but i can't imagine that one is good enough. Do I need a high speed one?
I've always a problem in my photoshop projects... How do you do the crop at 7:12? Cutting out the picture but leaving the flour?
The quick selection tool in addition to some slight post-production compositing ought to do it.
Hi man finally u put video! I really like ur works so smart .. just ur book i can't buy it that really suck
Hey I was just wondering WHAT were your camera settings set on? Like your exposure & stuff.. :D THANKS!! I have a photography project coming up and I was just wondering!!
***** Thank you so much!! :{D LOVE your videos btw!!
*****
what were the light settings normal diffusors ?
LLBG Productions a little late reply but it's OK..
To ease it for you..
* You need an f/stops at maybe 8 to 11 to get a wide DOF and keep the image as sharp as possible, you can focus then turn the camera to manual focus if subject and camera position will be fixed.
*.Your shutter speed be not more than 200 as per the sync speed of the camera shutter with the flash.
* Use ISO value to compensate for your correct exposure.
* You will need to take some testing shots first to check your photo and exposure before starting the real party..!
Hope I was helpful for you..
Thanks! It was very helpful! :)
What photo editing app/program did you use?
So nice i am fan
wat photo shop do you use i have an apple mac
Can't you just use normal flower then do the gradient trick after its finished? haha
That last photo, has it been published somewhere, or is the photo otherwise available somewhere?
does it matter what type of flour is used?
Great nice beautiful video photography, u can also publish in Youpic.
where did you do this? How did you clean it up?
+modernwize He states at the start that he did these at an elementary school at night, because he doesnt have much space at home to do it.
Evan, did you move or something because you said you didn't have any space? from the looks of your old videos, you have a lot of land lol.
What shutter speed ,lens iso ext?
it nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Clever
how you made that the flower is out of picture ???
Отличный видос, ман!)
Hello I live in UK and couldnt find your book in amazon UK but I found another one. how can I order one?
go on the website
cool as aways :)
What color hair did the model have?
Please tell me what was the shutterspeed .. And can we freeze liquid splash with 1/200 ???
The shutter speed doesn't really matter in these shots since the motion is frozen by the flash duration (that is very short), not the shutter speed.
If you dont have any professional lighting, can you compensate in photoshop?
افكار رائعة وبسيطة وعملية ..... شكراً

Out of curiosity, how difficult is it to wash the color out of your skin?
These are colours used in 'Holi' festival in India. If you really get yourself messed up, it's a bit difficult to remove them. The traces are left for days. But, if you apply oil on your skin before playing with them, removing them becomes quite easy. As in this kind of a shoot, if you can't use oil, try to bath with Kerosene. Yes, Kerosene. That actually helps a lot. Almost all of the colour would just go away. And if the colour is mild, it's easy to wash it just with a little soap and water. I hope it helped!
Teach me !!!
long time no see, evans
holi is festival in india ...aka festival of colours
Why you put colour to the powder if you are going to change/add the colour in photoshop?
Photoshop colorization is not as useful/efficient/realistic for mixing clumps of multi-colored particles together like the photograph shown at 0:12 as it is for changing the color in large areas, like the picture at 0:11.
Hi there, great video....silly question,, how do I get the flour off the model after the shoot..thanks :)
Awesome Shit!
You could use baby powder too, It's not as clumpy looking when you take the photo also. Just a suggestion! :)
holi powder is a powder for a indian festival called holi . festival of colours
wow =]
Nathalia Russoo Olha que de mais!
I hope to meet you and shake your hand one day. I love your photos.
coolllllll

You could mix dry powder tempra paint with the flower.
You can get normal flour and photoshop the colors that's what i've done and looks perfect
how ?

yes
Can't believe no one ever asked this, but what is the music / song that starts at 8:30? Gives me a real extraterrestrial vibe. I dig it a lot. Please let me knowwwww bro
