Hey Evan, I noticed that your last video was published 3 years ago and a lot of others noted you appearing and disappearing too. I hope everything is OK with you! Even doing a video on what's up or "my year moments" vlog would be good to revive your channel. And things are not OK, you have your own community here to support you! Right guys?
Evan, where are you??? I hope that you are doing well! You need to come back, we miss and need you!!
I remember watching your videos 10 years ago! You are reason I got so passionate about photography!!

Evan we've missed you! So happy you've uploaded this!
This is one of the best tutorials I've seen on projector photography
Planning on using a projector in a photoshoot. Did a search and found this tutorial. Crazy how many questions I had were answered and questions I don't know I had that were provided. Thanks so much!
dude i love it man . your still killing the photo game!
good to have you back bro :)
First vid I seen of this channel, I like, I sub. You’re doing things I was pondering for some time.
You are great for making this video Photo Extremist, I'm so happy I subscribed to your newsletter!!!
So many are wondering where you are bro?
Your channel is awesome! Yes, youtube has gone downhill but we learned so much from your knowledge.
You're the only person I have ever heard of that actually uses the projector's media playback feature. Most people I know just use it like a monitor :D
Thanks for opening up a whole new aspect of photography I hadn't even considered.
Where are you Evan?? 😞
this is amazing!!!! please keep doing what you do, your passion is contagious
My brain couldn't handle this. I kept laughing out loud by how mind blowing this was. So many ideas!
Evan, come back!
I've learned how to use my DSLR because of you and in Romania we have a huge camera store (F64) and inside there are a few screens where they promote different stuff.
Sometimes they are playing your videos and that got me into a nostalgic feel so I decided to wrote this.
Hope you will come back one day, because probably you don't know this, but for many of us you were our first photography teacher.
I just got one and am getting ready to get as CAH with It...thanks for the tips.
Thanks this is the best tutorial ever...greetings from colombia
thanks for all your great videos, i have a non portable beamer but sure can use some of the tips and take pictures with it.
excellent comparison of the two units, very thorough.
Quality over quantity as always :)!
dudeeee make more vids plss. i learned to use dslr from ur vids couple years ago. ur vids were awesome. pls make more vids about maybe product reviews tutorials maybe what new gear u might have gotten . apsc vs full frame etc. happy that ur making a comeback slowly.
Killer tutorial man! I never even knew they made portable battery-operated projectors this bright... "ri-dic-a-lous" is absolutely right
Just saw this hope you do more !
I hope all is well and I can't wait to see your best of 2016 video whenever you get the chance to upload it.
Quality video as always, cheers.
I’m still puzzled why Evan doesn’t have an Instagram. I know his content has to be fire. Even more so now. He’d probably be one of the top photographers on the platform. It drives me nuts that he’s not.
Great review. Very helpful. Cheers
I miss you :(, i need more tutorial master!! Many year learning of you!
Where did you go! You were the reason why I bought a Dslr. :) Miss your videos
Does anyone know where he is? He's the reason I started photography.
about time! :D
He's back 😎
What happened to you man?
Why did you Stop uploading videos?
+Photo Extremist Thanks for the "Duh!" moment; I'm a photographer and film buff who on both fronts tends to avoid as much as possible getting into special effects so recently when I started looking into projectors to use for viewing films and maybe showing clients work the idea of using one for my photography was pushed far into the recesses of my small mind. So much so that I foolishly avoided watching this video until now, though I keep seeing it in my searches for projectors. Thankfully my closed-mindedness does tend to wear out and I'm over the moon that it did. So many fun experiments await! I know I'll be returning to this video until all the info is burned into this small brain. Thanks for the inspiration.
Time to come back Evan! :-)
Thank you for the tips! I love this video.
Has anyone tried to use a projector for UV or IR projects? I would love to hear more tips and tricks about this topic!
Well made and informative video :)
Great work :)
Where are you Evan!
Please come with more videos
Evan where are you?!?!?! give us more VIDEO ideas!!!! Please!!!
you r amazing.
Everything ok??,not seen you for a long time.
Please upload more.
Excellent
like Jake I just wanna get shapes and smog and all that kinda stuff. My projector is quite old but never been used so hoping you could help on that one. You know your stuff, to be honest my brain does not function with that kinda stuff but a wanna learn.
Well Well Well.
good comparison.. wich is more bright?
This guy is cute. I like him
nice video mate. jst got some questions and would really appreciate any help u can give. 1) wen ur starting the projector, are u able to set it so it boots from the hdmi output instead of having to select it every time? 2) can the battery b removed for it to still work wen u plug it into the wall? 3) how loud are the fans? are they quieter if u run it in ego mode? Thanks :D
A couple of months ago, I had also considered buying a portable projector. I eventually purchased a Light Blaster instead since I preferred working with flash as opposed to continuous lighting.
It has its advantages (ex. portability, lens selection, less competition with ambient light), but I'm still not sure if I made the right decision given how inconvenient it is to focus and project images onto people in a precise manner. It's quite different from using regular projectors where what you see is what you get.
Good points. I did find focus to be awkward with the light blaster.... Now I am wondering what it would look like if a circular fisheye was attached to it.
Where did you go? You taught me how to get off the Auto mode in a camera...you were on fire before the Mckinnon's of RUclips...come baaaaack! Hope all os well
Haven't heard from you in a while... are you ok?
Come back.

Conducting an extensive search of portable battery powered projectors and have now come across interesting models that cover the full gamut of throw distances. What do you think about using short throw projectors like the Asus P2B that gives a 120" screen from only 3m away? The Asus P3B is ultra-short giving the same screen from only 2m. The shortest throw distances among battery powered projectors I've found belong to the LG PH450 & PF1000 which can give a 100" screen just a few inches from the wall. But it seems to me it would be better to keep the projector at some distance from the subject/s for photography, though being able to project a large image without needing a lot of space is always attractive even for this work i guess. what do you think?
GOD FUCKING DAMMIT THANK YOU!!! I'm literally three weeks away from a VERY important shoot with a projector and I was worried about all of this AND YOU SOLVED LITERALLY EVERY PROBLEM I HAD THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO AHH!! FUCK.
SUBBED!
That "reality tunnel" effect is so cool, is there a proper name for it? I want to see more examples
that projector has more ports than the new macbook pro
what doesn't
Wow :) always love your videos, I think you are brilliant. This looks amazing, but unfortunately is out of my price range :(
Where can I find the black and white images (squares, grids,& lines)?
I wonder if Evan is still alive. He has a lot of social media accounts which are all inactive for years. This is a brilliant youtube channel. Too bad that it is dead.
This channel is a gem. I'm surprised I don't see a lot of styles like Evans going viral.
@photoextremist can you give a tutorial on how you made your profile pic?
Maybe if you connect a computer you can control even more the projections, like a perfect loop in the videos (but you may loose mobility)
Where can I get color optical videos as shown at 8:20?
This one, Which one? This one? This one, not that one, THIS ONE!!! Your killing me!
Man please comeback, hope everything is okay.
Hey, do you take stock photo requests?
I guess it opens a new horizon to your imagination ?
Does anyone know how to login in the E BOOK ? I bought it years ago and forgot how to get to it
Hey pHoto Ex... where are you?
but does it have a port port?
Is this a comeback?
can you use a smaller projector with more lumens and higher resolution for less money from, let's say webshops from the far east?
I tried doing that (purchased the CRE X-3000 projector or whatever it was called, from an Amazon seller) and the specs turned out to be false. I've found that, just like with UV flashlights, purchasing cheap ones from places like Alibaba etc. will most likely be a disappointing experience; the description of what is being sold usually does not match what is actually being sold. If the specs sound too good to be true, it probably is.
what you pay is what you get, great
Anyone have any tabs on this guy?
10 years ago i was learning photography on your videos. decided to stop by and see if you are still around. it looks like you disappeared and reappeared and disappeared again
He stopped posting many years ago.
where did you go? you vanished again
*are you alive bro*
Still around man?
