Using a PROJECTOR to Spice Up Your Shot

- In this week's video, I brought a projector into the studio with the goal of using it to add a unique moving element to a few of my shots. Watch as I demonstrate how to use the projector for dead-on lighting, backlighting and background lighting and I even experiment with rear-projection!

Excellent video! Thank you!
Its always weird when you plan to use a new production technique then BAM It shows up in your feed. Perfect timing!
We've got you covered!
🤣🤣🤣🥺 so tru tho.
Our phones and computers listen to us. Hello there, Mr Bezos! Enjoyng our conversation?
awesome stuff !!
Is there any such issues with video using moving images from the projector?
A friend of mine said he experienced some lines when trying to film the projected image as BG for his video
Thank you, this is something new. Now I want 1KW LED projector to shape the light. Hope to see one my lifetime, and preferably for about 1000$
The technology is growing rapidly... We'll see!
Another fantastic video. Question. With these projectors, or if using a large monitor for close up rear projection, do we have to worry about the projected video’s frame rate or frequency matching the frame rate of the camera filming the projected background, say 24 fps?
I didn't have any problems with that even in higher frame rates, the refresh rate from the projector is probably good enough, and most video
monitors probably would be fine too
@@lensprotogo Thank you!
Thank you
I wanted to ask you if I wanted to make an educational video
With a teacher explaining on the projector
How can I light it and what is the position of the cameras Thank you
I really need this
hello,i have questions ,if i shoot with 16mm film( kodak 250D, F4, ) with 12,000 illuminances 60HZ projector. what need I caution ? Will this cause a strobe effect?
Good stuff! I'm using a projector today for an insert shoot using a dollhouse-sized proscenium stage. We'll also be doing a lot of experimenting projecting onto objects like baseball caps, bats, balls, and gloves (it's b-roll for a baseball project). If anything useful comes out of it to share, I'll be in touch. Cheers!
If you want to do something very dark in the background, would you have to flag and black out any ambient light so it doesn’t light the screen? Or would you have to close the aperture as much as you can?
🔥🔥🔥
*idea* can you use all white background and like place a cool lyric or subtitle animation beside where the model is positioned.. that way the extra projector space is only extra light and you can use key lights to eliminate shadow behind subject without interfering withe the light from the projector
Nice 👍
Can you show how to setup the background projection shots
Nice video,
Please explain to me how you did the shot if you only want the background to be projected and not the subject also? I don't get that one.
Thank you! And that one is one can be tricky: get you're subject far from the background I'd say at least 8ft, then angle the projector so it only hits the background and not your subject. The image might be a bit skewed but many projectors have ways to correct it
Just project a flipped image onto the backside of white bed sheet. Notice that is has to be a certain thickness, or else the projection will just completely bleed through.
Short throw Projecter
I got a laser projector. If I shoot with a phone, the picture is perfect, but if I use a mirorless camera, I get horizontal lines and that strange magenta, blue casts all over the image. Any idea why?
Поменяй выдержку на камере
It's awesome for nude shots and stills, but you have to focus the image projected on the body of the model.
Why don't you teach it to me😜
The body of green was anyone near the end of u 2 bodies and minds and bodies and souls of me and my name but hi I'm interested in electrical engineering from the uk but the next to the game
