I 've had an Ozark Trails instant tent for 10 years and love it over my other tents. Mine is a 6-person tent and I love that it has plenty of room for a cot, Adirondack chair, table, and all my gear. Be aware the seams will leak during a rainstorm so you may want to get some seam sealer for all the seams and waterproof spray for the rainfly despite the tent saying water resistant. I waterproofed mine after waking up in a puddle and it's still good all these years later. I also use a heavy-duty tarp underneath the tent to prevent damage to the floor and keep mud off the bottom of the tent. Extra tie-outs with real heavy duty tent stakes are also a good idea if you camp in windy areas. My tent took a good tumble in thunderstorm a few years ago, but I still have it because the extra stakes kept it from blowing away. FYI in my experience you will also want to carry a flat head screwdriver and paper clip with your tent gear to pry out the pop-out thingy in the tent legs as they sometimes get stuck in the tent leg or the spring goes sideways. Enjoy your new tent. Would love to see more tent camping videos!

Please purchase a folding shovel/entrenching tool for future tent camping trips. In other words: Dig a hole, do your business, back fill the hole before you leave your camp site. Even a gardening trowel is better than nothing.

Funny, I was just getting ready to post the same. I will add, that you can also put it in a dissolving bag and take it home to bury.

@@19Photographer76 Back when I was younger, I backpacked a lot and found some really disgusting spots that other hikers/campers had simply walked away from without a thought. Being a country boy, I learned to carry a shovel on the tractor and at least one roll of TP when mowing/harvesting/plowing the "back forty". The Army simply reinforced that knowledge by issuing me an entrenching tool. When The Lovely Bride and I go on long trips that include primitive tent camping an entrenching tool goes with us.

I found that if I’m sleeping on an air mattress, I will put a wool blanket or two underneath me while I sleep and it helps with the air mattress leaching cold up from the ground.
It’s like a layer of insulation to help Keep you warmer even if you’re using a sleeping bag, it’s just something I learned from camping in tents over the last 20 years
Being prior military I had access to military wool blankets but if you go to a surplus store that sells that kind of stuff you can usually pick them up fairly cheap and they make absolutely beautiful insulation to sleep on top of
Even with your regular bedding, if you’re the type that likes to put sheets on your bed, put them under your sheets. It will help from sliding around and keeping your bedding on you…..I guarantee you, you’ll stay warmer.
Another thing I learned was that if you can find a flannel duvet cover, you can use it like an envelope to hold several blankets inside of and make it as thick and heavy as you want and like. Makes a cozy AF sleeping situation and afterwards you really don’t have to worry about EVERYTHING getting dirty…. Just the flannel duvet cover…. And it all Folds /rolls everything up nicely ( like a bedroll )….
Glad you’re enjoying your alternative plans for your summer time!!

Reading comments about doing your business in the woods reminds me of a book that I bought called “how to poop in the woods,” Or maybe it was “shit in the woods. “ Anyway, it said dig a hole, but not too deep, because the microbes that break down the organic matter are in the upper surface. The book also had a lot of hilarious stories of various mishaps. I think everybody loves a good poopy story.

What up Eric! Always nice to get a new video! I used to be an Eagle Scout and did a lot of camping and one of the best things you can do if you have room is bring a rake and clear the area where you put your tent! If they are turkey feathers like others have said you're probably OK. If they were from an eagle or a hawk not so much. Not trying to bust your chops just a little knowledge I've picked up along the way. Keep the good stuff coming buddy.

My house gets cold in the mornings well I guess most of the day, it can be as low as 4.C, and later its warmer outside. Its nearly winter here now, although it has been up to nearly 20 but the overnights -3 which is cold for this time of the year. Normally thats the coldest mid winter overnight temp. The dirt looks similar to way up north in Northern territory.

Awesome looks fun! Can’t out a price on freedome 🎉 have a great time and make 100000% sure the tent zipper is supper secure so the cats don’t poke their head through and push zipper open when your sleeping. 💤 happened to a friend so be careful ❤

Next time you’ll have to bring one of your RC trucks. That place looks like a sweet spot to run RC.

Hey, you said you brought connecten with you and getting 600mbps+. Which router (or both)? Based on one comment a while ago I am thinking of going ahead with the inside version. This 50/50 connection here moochdocking is driving me nuts, I gotta get my own and get back to watching 1080p and higher videos vs 360 to 480

I brought the smaller indoor router. Lucky to be very close to that cell tower here also.

Eric, you can get a fold down tray/cook table that mounts to the inside door on your tracker. Check it out
