FYI - I had already taken the kitties inside the shop before I started filming on my iPhone to start the video. I went back out to the RV to close the windows only. I did not leave the cats in the RV. Their safety was more important than my own.
You're a good dad!
Never doubted you for a moment 😊
Il post another comment but I want to thank you Eric so much for the meet and greet lol. Made my day to see a guy I've followed for years. Got choked up a bit would of loved to pick your brain. EVERYONE OUT THERE ERIC IS AN AWESOME PERSONABLE GUY.
Most of us figured that but it won't stop the naysaying usual suspects. I bet I'm right.
my safety is more important
When the tornado siren keeps going like that,
usually there is more than one tornado in the area you’re in...
You should Remain Sheltered In Place.
May God Keep You Safe,
😇
🙏🏻
That storm was an average Texas thunderstorm.
I don't know who your weather source is, but our local news in St. Louis and the St. Louis NWS had been discussing the strong possibility of severe weather (hail, wind and possible tornadoes) days before it actually hit. Definitely not zero percent change. Glad you and the kitties made it through with no damage! Follow Reed Timmer, storm chaser! Also, I don't know if you are still in the area, Friday-Sunday could be severe weather days.
Ryan hall...🙄
He’s always been a baby about storms. Hell rain even makes him want to cry. You haven’t seen a bad storm if that’s the biggest one in your life haha.
He never misses an opportunity to be over-dramatic. I have a young granddaughter who is more mature about life occurrences than he is.
Then why watch? 🤷🏻♀️
Jeez, a tornado can take out that whole building and toss the RV around and put it down a mile away. So if you were there you would panic too.
I'm glad you and the kitty and the rv are safe. DO NOT stay in your rv during a tornado, it is less safe than even a trailer.grab the kitties throw them in a pet carrier, and get to a strong building. Espically in a state like illinois during the peak of Tornado season. also, there are a lot of tornados coming up in the next couple weeks, so my advise is you should get the heck out of Tornado ally states SOON !!!!! say safe my RV friend !
Geee u think…
@@RUclipsRanch you would be surprised.
Pull your camper and trailer along side a solid building to try and prevent them from being blown over.
I have been reviewing your retrospective videos going back to when Jax was four weeks old so my friend can understand my fascination with you since you first posted, likewise Kevin and a few others. She is amazed at your life and how facinating it is. As we are in our 80's no chance she will catch up on all your travels but I think I can safely say I have seen about 80% of all you ever posted, from grim days, to great days. Hoping your life continues well and you have more to show us. Out of all you guys, I only met Wanderlust in Anaheim before you guys met up at the slabs. Still watch Kevin and waiting the return of Wanderlust.
"I don't stress about the weather" .... turns into a little girl when it rains hard 😅😅
Tornadoes suck man… If you’ve lost anything or anyone bc of one you’d probably act the same way.
I didn't say tornadoes weren't bad. I am saying he act like he's all cool after he just freaked out lol
@@LivinLifeinDrive And your point is?
I see it's yals first day on the internet 🤣🤣
Eric definitely get a emergency radio that has NOAA alert function so you get alerted to things like tornados where ever you travel to
Lived in IL all my life. We stand on the porch and watch these storms! 😂
Omg 😮 I don't miss the midwest at all !!! Sweet Arizona 🌵
That's what me and the wife we're doing I live in east alton
Same.
Thank you for addressing the door slamming issue! The same is true with automobiles. Drives us nuts!
WELCOME TO SPRINGTIME IN ILLINOIS & INDIANA !!!!
ERIC this is gonna be a year of BAD WEATHER IN CENTRAL ILLINOIS & CENTRAL INDIANA. It doesn’t matter if cloudy or the sky is clear. WHERE EVER YOU ARE SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS & TORNADOS HAPPEN CLOUDY OR CLEAR. DAYTIME OR NIGHT TIME. As long as you hear those sirens get into shelter. Put those cats in a carrier when it says severe weather then move them in the a building easier to grab them & run. Bad storms pop up out of nowhere!!!! Ryan Hall Y’all has the most accurate coverage for all of the United States. ERIC TAKE THESE ALARMS SERIOUS IT IS NOT FUNNY TO BE CAUGHT IN THESE & LOOSE PRECIOUS PETS, FRIENDS & FAMILY & OUR HOMES. You need to be smart & not a smart ass about these warnings!!!! Not to mention there are those of us who have lost everything. SO THIS ISN’T FUNNY TO US!!!
GOD BLESS from West Central Indiana Farmland
Car doors can also be closed quietly and remote car door locks do not have to be set to honk the horn when used. Thanks for another great video!
I live in north Alabama. Check this out, the Super Outbreak of April 3 and 4, 1974. There were 148 tornadoes spread over 13 states, with 319 lives lost, including 77 people in Alabama. I was 6 years old but remember it well. We have tornadoes often.
you know you're really disappointing the trolls eric because you didn't get blown away.
Another awesome video Eric. I really enjoy the longer videos. I especially liked the part about camper etiquette.
Sometimes a person may want to flip the handgrip over to secure his prisoners inside. 😂
This weather was forecasted. I live in Illinois. Latham got damage.
Praising gosh and holy cows is the cause of God’s wrath.
Just an fyi I have a 2017 Tiffin open road it’s a common problem you have to slam the door to get it to shut I have tried several things to fix the issue , I made it a little better poor design I guess…
It can get deathly still before a tornado hits you. Not a leaf moving... Only the clouds racing overhead.
Very spooky imagery!
OMGEEE we talk about slamming doors ALL the time! We live in an apartment complex & the neighbors are Constantly slamming their doors. Is there any common sense anymore???😊
Tornado sirens mean that cloud rotation has been detected or a funnel cloud has been spotted. We had one touch down before the sirens went off. The News person said, "When they issue a tornado watch, it means one can form without warning." We live in Ohio and Ohio has had the most confirmed tornadoes this year so far. In 50+ years of RVing I have been through several tornadoes. We were told to slam the door because they have a double catch.
Now that was the ultimate “rain follows Eric everywhere”. Glad that you and the kitties were safe. How did Tara handle the sirens and storm? I’m sure that even if the kitties had been in the RV when you went to close the windows, you would have returned with one under each arm.
I hope everyone it's safe
1999, my sister and I traveled with our grandmother in her 19' Jamboree across the country, CA to WI; in MN we had a tornado chasing us down the highway. I was sitting in the rear dinette watching it form. RV life became my Dream that trip.
That margarita at the end, definitely needs to be thrown on the ground. 😂🎉 Eggcellent
No unsolicited advice here. Just thanks for the video!
You left your kitties in the RV when you went to the garage?
No, I'd taken them into the shop before I started filming.
@@nomadicfanatic oh that’s great news! 🩵
What about the cats
I moved cats into the shop before I even started filming on my phone
That storm's nothing compared to the storms in west central Indiana. The trees BEND and break and quite often, no twister is on the ground.
What a storm. Please be prepared at moments like heavy winds to have carriers ready for Tara and Opie. Keep the kitties safe.
Did you say East Alton Illinois? I lived in South Roxana, Woodriver, Godfrey, and Alton, and my father lived in East Alton.
Okay yeah now I know where you were. I THOUGHT it looked familiar. Back behind East Gate Plaza. My father in law lives in Godfrey off 109 headed toward jerseyville. Old stomping grounds as I'm now in Ozark Missouri
Eric you are so right about the bar on the door of the rv. You see Rv traveling down the road with the bar over the door. It should be left open when the rv is parked. And yes. PLEASE. Don’t slam the damn rv door.
Keep in mind they are closing down the Xbox 360 online store July 29 2024 if u want too get digital games I'd say buy them before they close it down just putting that out there just so u know😂😂😂
Tornado sirens are activated when a warning is issued and stay activated until the warning has been cancelled.
The sirens usually have a cycle time. They normally only stay on for a brief time, then turn off for a few minutes then turn back on again.
No they don't. They will sound the sirens when a tornado is on the ground near by, but they don't just keep running. Maybe if a tornado is right in town it will stay on, but not just for tornado warning for the entire county.
Oh yeah I just had gotten off work when all this started - I live in Lake County (Northern Illinois) and it wasn't pretty! Glad I got home because the old lady that lives next door to me was scared and I had to be with her make sure she got into shelter just in case. We had one close to us this year and one in the neighbourhood a couple years ago!
Super cool KFC shirt 👕 😊
Are you telling me there is a tornado
In the middle of the Midwest
During Spring
In the very spot you have an RV?
Can I see it?
Wonderful sunny day after that storm! Love Modified Auto! Your good friends, great work and you always find a great place to eat! Have a great time with friends!
I remember living in an apartment building with a common hall. It was slam, slam. Slam, slam. Day and night. No consideration for others.
New to your channel! as well as new to RV life. Thank you for all of the great advice!
"i think there's a tornado somewhere.' he says as he keeps filming instead of going to a shelter. not very smart. also there was a warning its called the sirens that went off.
Hope to see you at the biggest rally in the world. Endless RUclips content STURGIS
Yes! Never fold your grab handle over your door!. ALWAYS fold your flammable foam covered handle over your hot water heater exhaust.
The handle over the door is WHEN you are gone or traveling down the road AND the hot water heater exhaust should NOT be in use. When the hot water heater is on, you are normally parked and using the folding door handle with the flammable foam covered handle extended AWAY from the hot water heater exhaust..duh !
Thanx for the fun 🎉 😅 stay safe, it's quiet over here in Oregon 🌲 keystone owes you some royalties
I would put my cats in there carriers they would be all mad at me thinking there going to the vets🤣 I live in a house and that doesn’t matter either👋
There were others vlogging on RUclips that day. They seem to do the storms Ryan Hall isn't doing.
I live in the neighborhood across the hwy by the hotel, right behind your RV. When those sirens went off we were in the basement.
I’m from Illinois. I use Accuweather app to see the weather. It’s always accurate when it comes to rain or snow.
I remember the bowling pin getting a lot of action lol.. funny stuff. Have a great day!
You know what's funny, I live in an Indian reservation and no amount of rain dances can bring the rain you do. 😅😅
We all miss Jax, do you have any memories Nomadic Fanatic about him? Please share.
I don’t have an RV-yet, but the advice on the handle was good thought. Not sure I’d have not done that. 😊
The cats will let you know if there is truly trouble. Ours let us know when the barometric pressure bothers their ears.
you definitely have a Rain curse attached to you Eric. ive been watching you for years and it seems like every where you go you bring Rain. lol
I have dry camped with people that always slam their doors and then wonder why the strike plate is broken. I agree Eric as I never slam my door on anything.
Ryan Hall Y'all is the best source, or Reed Timmer! They follow all the activity and potential activity!
sorry man. i used throw it on the ground today at work without permission 🤣
That was really scarey. You stayed cool though. You need to stay out of Illinois.😮
Hey Eric, I would like to know where you got your movie projector screen at I want one
Eric,, you should live here in Florida, June, July, August, September, October!!!!!!!!!
I’m glad to see how far you’ve come, I remember a couple years ago meeting you in a Walmart parking lot. Big smile and full of good vibes, I hope you stay safe 🙏🏽
Thanks! You too!
That tornado was past you in east alton. Quit using iPhone weather its terribly inaccurate. Actually we've had drought conditions sense left.
Quit using iphone??? I'm sharing the local emergency air horns in the city blarring for a tornado...
Where does the time go? I can't believe you've already had opie for 2 years
Hey Eric, watch REED TIMMER and his team for storm chasing. You will love seeing his live storm chasing. He drove into a tornado recently. Look at his Dominator tornaco proof vehicle.
I watched his live stream last year when a tornado hit Sherman, IL.
Glad your kitties were safe and ok!!
Dang ! Hate Tornadoes
We sure could use that Rain Right now in Tennessee
Oh no!!!! You don’t have enough Keystone😮!!! Try to hang in there😢😂
Is that Chumlee from Pawn Stars?
Good you and the cats were safe. Crazy weather continues. 🙂👍
If you moved to Vegas they would no longer be running out of water.
Live across river that siren meant conditions favorable for a tornado, not that there is a tornado. If the adjacent county has a tornado they will set off.
My camper door is bowed at the center :( no soft closing for me
weather forecaster are saying that great tornado alley might be mover into the eastern state. some year ago a tornado skip thru Iowa into IL wiped thought 55-65-miles as live early streaming (rough)storm chaser / FAQ : Tornadoes often occur when it is not raining But RV'er won't the following: Very large hail, however, does fall in the immediate area of the tornado. 🦆 & repair later
siren have two pattern Steady tone as warning 🔊🔔 yet this might be reverse in counties and state 🌪+⛈= Steady tone warning 🌤= Rising and Falling Tones are All Clear = 🏚
risking life for live video one is lightning ⚡☔strike ☀ would a last word in ouch cause he a walking Lightning Rod. He is the grounded? even if the was a pole ⚡ guarantee he would feel it too 🤯 a buzz
I was in Irma that was the Hurricane that came through Clearwater.
Interesting how you speak about thieving so much
you're like a rain magnet in the state of Illinois
That Tequilla hits later..............great video Eric lol
GOOD MORNING NOMADIC FANTASTIC ERIC JAX RUclips VIDEO 🐈🐈
glad you are ok, and i love that the rv happened to be in the best direction possible for this wind. ❤
Use your head Eric, check the weather channel or local news.
Enjoyed your tutorials at the end. LOL TRUE
I see the fridge was well stopped with survival liquids.
That mango margherita looked good. Glad the tornado went north of you. Storms terrify me and have since I survived an F4 in 1984. Stay safe.
Storms move from Missouri to Illinois just saying.
Glad you’re safe Eric! Welcome to springtime in the Midwest!!
Just an fyi, when the temperature drops quickly, be prepared!!
You going to be up there for "blessings of the bikes" ???
Back years ago we called your tornado prep a typhoon party!!
Always enjoy your adventures....✌️❤️
OPIE! WERE NOT IN Kansas anymore!
The refrigerator segment was funny and relatable.
There's no safe spot in an RV in a tornado
A trip to the east coast that's wonderful news you haven't been to New York City in years welcome back
My dads pet peeves was slamming the car door hard. In the 70's and before the car doors were heavy and needed a hard push but new cars are light and easy. Glad you weathered the storm ok. Indiana weather is similar to that in the spring
Hope you have plans to reach the Atlantic Ocean or the NYC area in a few weeks.
And bringing the rain with me! You got it!
Eric, if you plan on visiting PA , I have a couple of places to see. First, in Altoona there are two attractions. The Horseshoe Curve. Also in Altoona is Lakemont Amusement Park, home of the world's oldest rollercoaster. The other place is Knobels Amusement Resort (south of Wilkes-Barre). This year they are featuring Pizza flights. Four different slices of pizza.
Opey, what a wonderful name for a cat❤❤❤
It hasn't rained in Arizona since you left. Come back!
Yes it has! lol. I'm still in touch with RV Prepper Wayne in Quartzsite. I'm well aware of the rain, flooding, and wind since I left. But that's cute.
I don't the constant slamming of the door. And let's not forget the beep beeps from unlocking the vehicles over and over.
What a lovely shop. Its so nice that they would let you profile them. They look like a friendly group.
