  • 🌟5 ways to reduce Kapha from the body - Kapha dosha pacifying practices in Ayurveda.🌟
Kapha is heavy, moist, and dense. Therefore balance, movement, heat, and lightness are the best remedies to pacify the Kapha dosha. Enjoy these 5 Ayurvedic practices to reduce Kapha energy.
👅 1. Oral care - Tongue cleaning and oil pulling are essential to keep the digestive system clean and clear. Tongue cleaning helps remove toxins from your mouth to avoid flushing them down into your digestive system where they can cause distress. Oil pulling helps strengthen your gums and stimulate your senses.
👃 2. Nasal care - Neti pot and nasya are Kapha dosha staples. Use neti pot anytime you experience allergies, or congestion, or want to clean out your nasal passageways from dust and pollution. Follow up with Nasya to rehydrate and nourish your nasal.
🧘 3. Vinyasa yoga - Get your energy flowing and warm up your body with vinyasa yoga!
🧤 4. Dry brushing - Move stagnant lymph with dry brushing. You can use Garshana gloves or a dry brush. Focus on moving your strokes outward to inward, pulling the energy towards your heart center and digestive center to eventually have the toxins eliminated through your digestive tract.
*Apply lighter pressure where the skin is thin (underarm) and more pressure where the skin is thick (soles of the feet)
(some prefer to push the energy outward by moving from the center outwards. There is no wrong or right way, it’s whatever feels best for YOU.)
💆‍♀️ 5. Lymphatic massage - An Ayurvedic favorite! Abhyanga is an Ayurvedic oil massage that nourishes the entire body, increases circulation, stimulates internal organs, and helps with the elimination of impurities from the body. This is also an incredible grounding practice and will help settle you into one of the best nights of sleep of your life!

I heard from an Ayurvedic doctor that you should not mix nasya and neti. Also don't do nasya an hour before or after taking shower apparently
