It was nice to hear your thoughts throughout this. Especially about feelings nervous.
It was also insightful to hear that you put in around 60 laps to feel comfortable with the pace.

For real. I think I did 60 laps before doing it. Hated Misano at first but once I started to iron out the wrinkles, I love it!

Just getting into ACC and looking into LFM....i'll have to do a lot of practicing though because my lap times are usually about 4 or 5 seconds slower than i need to get my LFM license. I need to do a lot of work on setting up the car to get it where it's more stable. Great Video and good Job getting that License!!

    Congratz!
Really curious how your LFM path is gonna be. Mine was quite rough.
    First Impression was:
Enjoyed the very clean racing though, everyone is giving respect most of the times.
Accidents do happen, everybody is doing mistakes.
Than I started to feel more and more confident. I got faster and faster. Learning from all those faster racers out there.
The real confidence will come when you constantly doing races. The more constant you will get, the better results you will have.
This my first phase was interrupted by one month ban, for typing in chat: moron... I got really angry when some guy crashed my last possibility of a fast quali lap .. by just getting into my way.
I am sure that I could get that guy also his punishment but I am really lazy with reporting others. Mostly I just write some chat afterwards without being mean, cocky or whatever. Just trying to some comment on the situation from the "other side" :D
After coming back and doing public races, wow that was a change to the organized and clean racing. I came back faster and educated to not use the ingame chat completely :D
BUT this phase of good results and increasing rating had to come to an end, of course.
I am by far not a good racer and I know that. I am just average, but I have a good consistency. I can pull out, on sprint distance, REALLY consistent pace. This is my strong side and I know about it, so I am fighting for my position but I rather easily let pass the faster racers. Because I know that in the end I might finish before them :D When they get in trouble passing the next guy. So I mostly rather count on others mistakes and try to keep my pace. It bothers me to let people just pass. Sometime when I did a mistake I even end up loosing 1-3 spots. Before I get back and keep my pace again.
The end of that phase came with getting out of the rookies series. I really have had a hard time finding myself in that really fast pack of racers. Because of my high rating I directly got thrown into high splits 2 even first split. Where I just dangling last place around... everyone was at least one league above. So with that my rating began crashing down ... I mostly finished around where the rating is 0 or negative when I had a good result and decent race. The worst and bad ones, well in those weeks my rating crashed down to around 1000. Got fined for a first lap mass crash (just completely missed the braking point on Spa, I was sleeping somehow, tried to not directly ram into the first but i moved right instead of left, so I just rammed through the line of cars :D) this time my SR got knocked out again (rating was holding around 1200 i think). But I was back into the rookies series... but faced still split 2 and 1 most of the times. So you meet also really fast guys. This was when the real frustration came into effect... I felt still slow and bad. Lost my confidence in my consistency because there at the back you really need to be a good driver to not get involved in all the drama going on there. This was when my rating took a great drop... split 3 and 4 now mostly. Found back my consistency. Really felt okay racing.
So again promoted out of the rookies, but my rating is much lower now so I hope it won't be such a shock like before and just being the last on the line pre-programmed.
Not raced yet, I am quite nervous about it. It's also that it's new track time because new week. It was almost always that each week I got better with the more racing on those not so well known tracks.
Even though Its not perfect with the issues I have faced. I still really do enjoy racing LFM. It's best place to learn and find your pace/consistency.
I will keep following the process :)

@@Road2Racer update after my first race back in the GT3 series.
Finished at the back as expected. But Quali times really showed how tight it is in that more advanced series.
      P1 - P24 in the gap of 1,5s :D
I wasn't prepared. Didn't race on Barcelona recently so i was at least 1s of my best pace.

WELL DONE CASEY! You did great. For the hairpin, brake at the start of the red and white curb on the right and open up the corner. Take an earlier apex. The red tarmac has loads of grip, so you can get on the throttle earlier than you might think.

congrats on getting the LFM license. not having to push every lap makes it easy. I had Brands hatch with kind of required me to push. that track has a fast time and a few corners on that track can make it or break it for ya real quick. also didn't have the BOP when I done mine.

Do you have to wait in the pitbox for the session timer to run out, or can you exit the lobby after you've done your laps? Congrats on the license! I've been trying to get those practice laps in before going to the license server, but still difficult to get both the time, and valid laps.

So I just did races with my community and was always very, very, very careful. I know some people jump into ai matches and race very close to other cars. I think you need to do clean laps and be within a second of other cars to build.

Does anyone know for how long they gonna be running the licenses on this track before switching it for another one? I've just started. It's like my third week on a wheel. I'm already managing to reach the laptime. So the time is not a problem anymore. But I still gotta grind the SA rating. I assume it's gonna take me 1 or two weeks racing, but if they switch tracks then imma have to learn another track and I wanted to take my license at this track...

lfm is a community for acc(pretty sure just acc - but maybe more games not 100% on that) that hosts their own leagues/races etc. you need to qualify to earn a license to compete in their races.
