  • There's a lot of things wrong with my neighbor's 2006 Honda Pilot. But I thought it would be fun to try and get it driveable again. The goal is "rescue" this high-mileage Pilot, pass 2021 MA inspections, and be able to take this BEAST on the Gambler 500.

Good to hear!! I hope it’s in better shape than this one LOL. Will be cleaning the fuel filter, new injectors and adjusting the valves in the next episode.

@@NotSoHandyCarGuy yes mines in wayyy better shape haha but not perfect, she got about 290,000 miles on her but still running great! I’ve done little mods to mine as well, like new headlights, LED lights, sound system, new paint work to body and rims and a few minor things.

It’s really crazy to see how two cars can live such dramatically different lives. I have a 2006 Pilot thats in like new condition. Same steel blue color and has all the same options. It was my grandpas that he only took to the store and out of town a few times. Life is crazy!

@@NotSoHandyCarGuy I just told my Honda pilot 04. 120,000 and bought a Lexus 2004 GX 470. I absolutely have always wanted the truck love it. The guy so I purchased it from. Pulled douche bag move. He didn’t tell me a part of the frame is rotted out. He certainly pictures of the part of the frame that was not rusted. I drove it 5 hours away Maine where it’s being fixed.

@@torreyinnewyorkcity334 Oh no! I’m sorry to hear that about the GX. It’s such a flip of the coin with those and 4runners. We eventually have to get the frame repaired on our 4th gen, too.
