I'm upset I didn't see this till all the snl stuff. This is honestly an amazing skit, it's great hearing them genuinely laugh from the delivery of that last line.
It's not just the delivery, it's also the fact that the entire sketch is improvised and they're making up their lines on the spot

That is NOT the purpose of SNL. The purpose of SNL is to sell advertising...and make money...which it does hand over fist. There are a lot of "creators" out there these days that just aren't good enough to be on the big stage. Anybody can throw stuff up on the internet that wouldn't get past a good TV producer. That's WHY they're doing it on the internet...HOPIGN to be discovererd...and they might...who knows? Yes, I know...SNL isn't funny all the time either. Few shows/people are. What I've seen here is pretty hit and miss too...mostly miss. It seems to be "geek humor"...and most of the people who find it really funny seem to like the "potty" humor. That's fine...but it's not that clever...and not for everybody...

What a funny and lighthearted animation! I'm sure no massive, big budget, late-night, live television sketch comedy and variety show will blatantly rip this off!

I'm not an SNL hater by any means and they may not have knowingly ripped off your idea but as far as execution this is much funnier. If they did rip you off they stole too little.
They have so many wack and cheap lame DIEversity hires now I wouldn’t be surprised if one of them introduced this to the writing room as something they “came up with” or “wrote this sketch”

Literally every line is hilarious. Both in context, delivery, tone, and timing. This is comedic writing.
I don’t know if this was intentional, but the setting of this skit makes me wildly uncomfortable, and I fear I will have nightmares of being trapped in this building with these entities, no natural light, just dark wood and toilet paper everywhere. No exits, just a low ceiling, a blindingly white couch, and a TV playing the same tune while nothing but footage of more toilet paper plays. True hell.

That "I'm doing fine" deemed very confrontational. That with the awkward silence of the room suggest the parent bears just had an argument.

The nice but overbearing dad constantly pushing a career in asswiping on his earnest young son who who desperately wishes for something different, away from their society's narrow standards of what is acceptable for young people like him.
Truly relatable Joel. I too hate it when my parents try to force me into a career of ass-wiping. They always forget what it's like to be young with your whole life ahead of you. They think just because it's worked out for them and every other bear it's what we should want. I wish they would try to put themselves in our shoes for once.

Sometimes people just need time to accept new ideas. When a proud family tradition like ass-wiping goes back so far, it can be hard for some in the family to accept change.
Makes me think of how 15 years ago my parents used to say "Get off the computer, this will never help you in real life. Go find a proper job" and now I'm watching an animated video about a family of bears who wipe ass which has been seen by more than half a million people in a couple of days.
