I loved the fact that George loved and respected Theodore enough to speak to him but everyone else he just made monkey noises. Theodore was the one who gave George the most love and happiness than anyone else did.

I like that there was no punchline. It stayed committed to its goal and didn’t harass the viewer at the end but stayed true to itself. Thank you for that.
The punchline was the memetic crescendo of a B-tier Jack Johnson, who did a whole soundtrack of children lullabies for the Curious George soundtrack, cover of "Upside Down" as George finished pouring his soul out to Theodore.
The point was that he spent some time learning stupid bs that amounted to nothing but gaining hate for others. He learned now that instead of doing all that (getting into QAnon, anti-vaxx bs, or fighting people on the internet) he should've spent more time loving. He didn't reveal anything about a conspiracy, he even admits it.
I think one of the things that sticks out to me is that the quote on George's epitaph is still monkey noises. Nothing from his final words to Ted. Because George had nothing to say to the rest of the world, just to his best friend, The Man in the Yellow Hat. Someone he loved.
and remember, he didn't talk because he had nothing worth saying. Why nothing for his tombstone? Because he felt nothing for himself, only the ones he loved.

I'm a real dude and I have real emotions too. At the beginning of the vid I felt a bit of melancholy for a beloved childhood character. Then, I felt joy as I was moved by George's monolog..We have to learn how to love again and to feel loved in return.

The subtle smirk that creeps up on Theodore’s face when he’s pondering on George’s lasts words while he drives home is so heartwarming. There’s grief but there’s also hope.
What the hell?? Comedy, absurdity, sincerity, drama, emotional truths, introspection; so very, VERY much packed into 5 minutes! Dude, Joel, youre a legend. This, right here, is a masterful work of comedic art. Congratulations, pat yourself on the back, spend some extra money to treat yourself to something nice! You deserve it. And all the actors who took part in this, even the doctor, all did a 10/10 job performing this. I'm honestly humbled as a creative person. Humbled.

The incongruity and combination of the great writing and the ridiculous situation makes it phenomenally hilarious. SNL is gonna have a hard time ripping this one off. Haha
I remember watching the Curious George movie as a kid, along with the cartoon series on PBS Kids. When the melancholy cover of "Upside Down" started playing, I almost cried. Usually, surreal adult-swim style content relies on shock humor. While this video includes that, it has so much more than that. Portraying our beloved Curious George as a dying old man who finally has all the answers he ever wanted, and sharing his wisdom with the one person he loves. This really pulled on my heartstrings. Thank you for making this.

I can't tell you how many times I watched The Curious George movie, and that beginning scene, even as a child made me sad because of how lonely George was, not having anyone to really relate to. But this parody, I can't quite describe how touching this is. It's fitting somehow, and so profound.

It was covered by Kevin Sloan, very well done! I use to love Jack Johnson before he was extremely famous, although still somewhat known. I have 2 of his earlier albums on vinyl. They're GREAT to spin on a rainy morning with a joint, and or cigarette, with coffee and/or alcohol. Jack is one of the reasons I got into playing guitar. From people who know Jack Johnson they say he's an amazing soul. You never hear bad things about him. I believe he still walks barefooted are the big island even tho hee a multimillionaire.

The incongruity and combination of the great writing and the ridiculous situation makes it phenomenally hilarious. SNL is gonna have a hard time ripping this one off. Haha
I remember watching the Curious George movie as a kid, along with the cartoon series on PBS Kids. When the melancholy cover of "Upside Down" started playing, I almost cried. Usually, surreal adult-swim style content relies on shock humor. While this video includes that, it has so much more than that. Portraying our beloved Curious George as a dying old man who finally has all the answers he ever wanted, and sharing his wisdom with the one person he loves. This really pulled on my heartstrings. Thank you for making this.

This was honestly a better message than most filmmakers can put out nowadays. Even through the scope of parody, this was a beautiful message.
That slowed version of Upside down brought me to tears. I can't tell you how many times I watched The Curious George movie, and that beginning scene, even as a child made me sad because of how lonely George was, not having anyone to really relate to. But this parody, I can't quite describe how touching this is. It's fitting somehow, and so profound.
