Somehow, Joker being creepy within the confines of the law is worse than him just straight up being a criminal. Like him being a serial killer or a mass murderer is fine, but being a groomer draws the line for some reason.
That is what makes this fit the joker so well. Some of his best stunts were like that. This one though just takes it to the next level.
You're simply desensitized to killing and violence in entertainment and it seems not so bad any more. This Joker would seem normal to European viewers, but killing is more extreme to them.

Something that I like about this that not many others have pointed out, is it actually displays how Laws and Morals/Ethics don't always connect.
best part is that this probably the closest the joker has come to convincing batman that he's wrong for siding with the law, but vigilante justice is illegal anyways so what's stopping batman from just enforcing his own morals instead of the law if he's gotten this far?
That's totally true, for example murdering babies is legal in some states of the USA yet it is still inmoral. The law doesn't dictate what's moral and what's isn't, rather law tries to be based on morality as much as it can but sometimes it just fail.

The constant up and down inflection on every single sentence from the Joker is what got me laughing.
I can totally see this as canon, with Joker in federal prison, devising borderline offensive crimes out loud to incense inmates so he could murder them in self-defense for the laughs.
The funniest thing to me was Batman's growing discomfort and confusion as Joker reveals more information about his plan but none of it makes sense, then as soon as the ticking clock shows up Batman suddenly becomes fully invested again because a ticking clock makes sense to him.

I believe that in the original comic, the Joker reveals he was just catfishing for her Netflix password.

Joker spent so much time researching ages of consent that he forgot "not killing people when you attack them" doesn't qualify as legal
Batman is a vigilante, using force against criminals that you search for and consequentially are not directly threatening you (not an act of self defense if you are looking for them) is illegal in almost every country in the world. Only the police force can do that. Batman is technically a criminal, and he was hunted by the police in the beginning, but because of how useful he is and because Gordon is his friend, they close an eye. That is also the reason why he "disappears" after talking with the police or after inspecting a crime scene, because the police is technically obbligated to arrest him at the end of it, even if they are reluctant, they have to, and Batman knows it.

Joker knowing the age of consent in every state feels like something he would know in canon. Not to do anything pervy with like this, but just because he's Joker. Half the point to him is that he exists because of how messed up he views society as. The other half is his obsession with making Batman break his rule. It feels totally in character for him to randomly just start going on a rant about the age of consent in every state to make some deep point about how he's not crazy, everyone is crazy.

What I find funny is that young people consider this "so evil" yet... it's what has been happening for thousands of years throughout history and still happens to this day.
Teenage girls were getting married to and having kids with men in their 20s and 30s because the max life expectancy was like 40-60.
In Hindu culture, women are married off to much older men while they are still infants.
It's only modern western culture in recent decades that has decided that anyone who ISN'T a teen, yet finds teens sexy is a monster, despite it being normal throughout history and the world.

I have to disagree. Not because I think the joker would actually do this to an adolescent on an app, I think he wouldn't but just because he is extremely disinterested in sincerely pursuing human connection beyond using someone to further his nihilistic agenda. What he did to Harley Quinn, though, is definitely grooming even if she was an adult. She was a vulnerable adult who he took advantage of for his own gain. He did everything groomers do to get people to lower their defenses and beguile them into a dedicated relationship.

Not sure. In a way, yes, but he repeated the same up-and-down cadence so often that it felt like a parody of Hamill's Joker and while it was kind of funny at first, it got kind of annoying/repetitive to me after a while.
