So I used to cut glass for my dad and he always told me of your lines are off it completely messes up the process of clean breaks. You might be experiencing this. For me I never kept even pressure on my cutter and had to practice for a little while. Hope this helps.

I tried this and the bottle cracked. The cracks went down almost all four sides ? What can I do to prevent this?

Your suppose to just use water. Acetone is for removing glue and stuff, if I'm wrong let me know
