The main appeal of the A6xxx series to me was their compact design. If you bulk it up then you might as well get a high resolution full frame body and shoot in crop mode. I was going to get this when it came out - I had been using a6000 for donkey's years as my go-to travel camera. But having had a look ended up getting an A7R 4 second hand for the same price instead.
I bought the ZV-E10 mark I and bought 3 better lenses for the price of the mark II. The mark II for the price I would jump for A6700. In my opinion. Or choose Mark I, if I was concerned with the budget. It is a very good hybrid camera. Have a mechanical shutter when Mark II does not.
Since u have extensive experience in shooting video with the Sony FX30, do u feel that the Sony a6700 can actually compete with long term video shoots? Have seen other reviewers who mentioned numerous problems of the Sony a6700 overheating & shutdown. 😎😎

My current ZV-E10 has served me well so far, but I am looking out there to see what is available. A6700 seems like a great choice for creatives like me, but I am worried about lack of 2 sd/CF-express type A cards and micro HDMI port with raw output (IDK, might want to have an option of using it in the future). Equally, on a FX-30 I am worried about the lack of a mechanical shutter and I am wondering whether viewfinder makes a big difference for photography (for video I will likely purchase an external monitor soon, so not such a big issue. I would love to hear your thoughts in regards to these differences, since you have had both, and your thoughts in regards to how important those differences are in a professional workflow of different types of productions.
Kensei what you with about buy Sony 24-105 f4 for ZV e1? I have 74 with tamron 28-75 g2 and want more versatility at focal range. And I think tamron is more yellow l, Sony is more natural. I shoot business interview and podcast at studio
Oh yeah I totally forgot to mention it but it tends to overheat. Well not exactly overheating which makes the camera stop recording but it got easily high temperature.
