Do you happen to know how many drops you use vs how long the scent will last??

You didn't seal it or use varnish?

If you sealed or varnished it, it would limit the porosity (plaster is porous) which is what you need to absorb and disperse the scents.

Will it melt if it’s in the sun for a while?

It'll melt if left in water too long and crack from drying out if left in sun too long (loss of moisture).

No. Plaster does not melt in sun. Plaster is the stuff that covers the walls in most houses. It can crack or chip if dropped/hit but it's pretty hard. Harder than air-dry clay.
