A great presentation, Lisa. Your smile is so welcoming. I'd only say that many chefs no longer peel ginger prior to fine grating. The skin is very thin and actually nutritious, so you save a ton of time, and don't waste a bit of that tasty root. At most, a quick brushing under a tap is fine. The grating process reduces the skin to tiny shreds, virtually undetectable in the final dish.
The way to tell if your artichoke is cooked soft enough is if you can pierce into the cut stem with a knife. Place the tip of the knife at the center of the meaty part of the cut stem and it should slide towards the center of the artichoke like butter. Otherwise your artichoke heart won’t be soft enough and that just won’t do. It’s all about that tender, succulent artichoke heart. By the way, I was taught by my mom to cut the stem very close to the bottom of the artichoke, so it sits fairly flat while you’re working with it as you eat. Plus it makes the pierce test more reliable because you’re working with less of the woody stem. And I always cook it with the stem facing up so I can test and resume cooking, if need be. 😊

We live in Colorado Springs at about 6000 feet above sea level. I've experimented with the eggs and this is what I found works best at our altitude: 7 minutes, quick release, take them out of the pot and cool at room temperature. No cold water or ice bath required. While some people say that altitude shouldn't make a difference, I know it does. We recently moved across town, maybe a difference of 300 feet in altitude. But I've had to change cooking times and amount of water for several recipes.
When cooking an artichoke go into the center with a spoon and remove the seads (choke). Will help it to cook and you will not have as much of a mess to clean up after eating
For marinading meat prior to cooking, I like freezer bags over the pot. You can squeeze out all the air, ensuring more meat to marinade contact. Here is a cooks tip. Potatoes can come in odd sizes, and as you guess it will cook at different rates where the smallest done first. The trick is to cut them into uniform sizes. Cut them into rings like you would a carrot. You have control over the ring size and as the thickness is uniform your cook time will always be the same. I would suggest 1 to 1 and 1/4 inch rings

Got the how-to on cooking chicken from frozen in the InstaPot from this video and haven't looked back. I usually do thighs in low sodium chicken broth with some extra seasonings for 15 minutes, then season and broil. They come out so juicy and seasoned with so little effort! An excellent video thank you. I am new to pressure cooking generally but normally steam my vegetables in a 3 tier steamer along with new potatoes, so that I can add such as caulfowerr and broccoli towards the end and have everything ready at the same time, but this doesn't seem to be possible when using pressure cookers?
Thanks for your videos Lisa! I'd like to make a comment that actually affect myself: the majority of your videos do not have subtitles. I do have a hearing impairment so I need subtitles to help me understand your recipes. Because of the lack of the subtitles, I have to move to another channel and get the recipes from another person (which is not the same). Heads up for the future videos and maybe you can add the subtitles for this one (I am curious to know your 25 best recipes).
Thank you for all the recipes, and the reasons behind certain cooking techniques. Really builds confidence in cooking in the Instant Pot! Love your videos and the thought that goes into them💕
your presentation is excellent but may I suggest you use low sodium chicken broth instead of water when cooking your Ch-legs. whatever sauce flavor you decide to use will be enhanced and still super healthy.

Oh. Good to know about the warming time. If your rice is to be used for fried rice later it might be helpful to let a very moist rice to dry out a little. With fried rice you need to cool your rice so the grains separate easily. If too moist the fried rice doesn't work wo easily.
Can you juat call it a pressure cooker? I have had the Wolfgang Puck one for over 7 1/2 years...no multiple buttons, just minutes on a dial and a chart for times etc.and I LOVE it! OMG .... I wish they had a Mickey Instapot when I bought mine...jealous😊
OMGosh! This vid is super great. So many recipes that I need to try.
Baked potatoes are the great hit in our family I don't have to heat the big oven just to bake three potatoes for our small apetite family. It was perfectly cooked and really delicious.
Amazing recipes. Yummy yummy 🤤
You are such a doll. I've had my IP since they first came out. Only used it for soups. What a shame because there is so much it can be used for. Just bought the three quart Duo Plus. Made yogurt with your recipe, so easy. I love your channel. Wish we could meet your kids, but I understand your wanting your privacy. Thanks for the hard work you put into your videos.
Cooked dry bean
Was good, clean I P has not worked putting back has been a problem, but at 83 anything go wrong
Wow thank you for sharing. I loved oatmeal. The potato soup I loved.
I’m soooo glad I found you! Finally I have the confidence to actually USE my Instant Pot! I have been watching your tips and tutorials and you are amazing. I can’t wait to have a crack at the Hot & Sour Soup recipe!
A thousand thankyous!🙏
I am so happy that I discovered your channel. Thanks so much for your videos.
Got the how-to on cooking chicken from frozen in the InstaPot from this video and haven't looked back. I usually do thighs in low sodium chicken broth with some extra seasonings for 15 minutes, then season and broil. They come out so juicy and seasoned with so little effort! And the fact it can be done from frozen makes it so ADHD-proof lol.
Thanks for a great video, really helpful
Fantastic video !! So many good ideas and tips... the egg peeling ! So good
So..oo many great tips and such a professional presentation, Thank you !!!
Amazing! I desperately needed ideas for my ninja foodie pressure cooker
Wow, I am Hawaiian and it's been a very long time since I've had kalua pig cooked the traditional way. Can't wait to try your recipe for a quick version ...... now if I could only find poi to eat with it 😄. Thank you for sharing this.
I love the subtitles. Many thanks.
Thank you for all the recipes, and the reasons behind certain cooking techniques. Really builds confidence in cooking in the Instant Pot! Love your videos and the thought that goes into them💕
Thanks you……..I m watching this today….missed this….saving this too…😋😊
Great video thank you 🙏🏽 😅 making me HUNGRYYyyyy!!!
Thank you for all your videos. I’m currently looking out the window waiting for Amazon to deliver mine!
your presentation is excellent but may I suggest you use low sodium chicken broth instead of water when cooking your Ch-legs.
whatever sauce flavor you decide to use will be enhanced and still super healthy.
Got one for Christmas yesterday And Want to use it today so I need all the tips and recipes lol
Love your channel ❤. Lisa just wanted to let you know I ordered your cook book. Thank you .
I love this . I'm going to try this
I saw the instructions for broccoli and wondered about green beans. Started to get disappointed and thought I would look it up after the end of this video. Well what do you know....the last recipe is for green beans!
Thank you so much for your lovely helpful videos!💕
looks really great! Thanks for sharing the recipes!
Thank you!! All the work you did is MUCH appreciated!!
Thank you for these videos!
Do you have any discount codes for
the basket? Love your videos
My head is just spinning. Way too complicated to mess with.
Do you only use the insta pot brand? What about Ninja Foodie? Love mine! I saute and steam just by the dial or not having a lid. I did just get a Ninja Foodie that has the air crisper and pressur cooker but a smaller one and gave my presure cooker to my daughter.
A we
Not opening the vulve to remove the steam after boiling the rice, before opening the lid?
