Bee Cool is NOT a trustworthy company. Their company contact page lists a shady residential address in Bromly, England when you write them, and the main address in Ontario, California Is a shared Warehouse space normally used by companies temporarily. I have tried repeatedly to contact this company for basic information, like where they are actually located, and their customer service straight up ignores or does not understand the question. Bee Cool DOES NOT MAKE THEIR OWN BIKES. All of these bikes can be ordered from Alibaba for SIGNIFICANTLY less cost from the original manufacturer, Aimos. Right off the bat, stand over height is almost identical, I think they're making a mistake by not offering a lower step over height so older folks or those with physical issues can ride it.
One of the BeeCool Explorer ebikes coolest features is the Rear Suspension so not gonna be a step through! You could not make the bar lower. BeeCool may make a step through in the future but this is their first model.
Fantastic review! In comparison to some of the other ebikes I've researched, so far this is the bike that I would buy just based on your thorough and in depth review. And the price is really not too bad for all of what you get with be cool.
Thanks for the detailed review. The part where your wife showed how the bike at lowest seat setting fit her was important to me. The Explorer seemed designed for shorter folks but was a bit much for a 5' 3" person. Was thinking about it for my teenaged daughter but now not so sure.
ask him why he is not giving you the return policy , you get back fifty percent on a used bike, and most show up damaged , only a fool would send this kind of money to get a bike delivered that is going to be damaged and no one stands up in this company, they dont pay for labor of replacing the damaged parts

Great review Citizen. I love your style, and your reviews are packed with so much great info and thought, all in a very honest, personable and concise way. I look forward to every one. Thanks.
I suggest when doing Your range test, not only use throttle only, but also a consistent speed, on a level road, with a consistent weight. Like throttle at 16 mph, level road, and total weight on bike of 185lbs. That way one can use the comparison with other e-bikes. Also if a standard range test is set then others with their e-bikes could report their range based on similar parameters. BTW, I love Your videos.
Great timing, I can't wait to see your range test video. I JUST bought this bike. I was debating between this and the Haoqi. With the 21ah battery and the insane mountains I live in, I think this was the right choice.
Himi- Out of the box, full charge 7th gear, 9 PAS full throttle pedaling me arse off flat ground, no wind etc. Display fluctuates 29.7 28.7 back and forth nothing between. That's glitchy! Contacted Bolton and company said a big maybe on a new controller and display. 200 bux to match your Himi and color display is a deal. Brian maybe you can do a collab with Kyle and get this aftermarket product thru you? Yes a short 30mph is fast, but nice to have 5 plus klicks in the back pocket. RIDE ON! and nice review of a BEEautiful bike.
CitizenCycle BeeCool is the correct name not Bee Cool but not a big deal as you would say. :) Thanks for the awesome review! The battery cells are made by Lishen. The Aventure is 15Ah not 18Ah
or get you in trouble if you accidentaly press it for example when your going up a hill ,not good i 'd rather use the brake i changed it on my Rover . You get use to anything
@@laplantemichel709 Note that when the red button is depressed disabling the throttle you will see a 08 Error on the display. 08 is not a problem and will go away when the throttle is turned on.
If I bought this bike I would swap the position of the PAS/ON-OFF with the horn/turn-signal on the left side; on the right side I would swap the position of the throttle cancel with the shifter.
Very thoroughly done. Great review. Two question ! 1 what is the adjustment on the opposite fork from the one you discussed? 2 how do you adjust the brake handle for more play. Right now on this new bike it appears to be dragging a little bit. It squeaks loudly when just pushing the bike. Thank you for any input. Carl
Hi,that looks like the same shock that came on my 48v xclass I got last month if so try turning cylinder counter clock wise,it ain't easy but worked ( storm) was name on shock .I see now yours is slightly different
I wonder if it's worth modding this bike. It has some cool additions that most of the other bikes in its price range dont have, but it would require a change of the motor controller and possibly the hub motor.
Good video! Throttle only range, 41 miles is impressive. Wish we knew what the cells were. Adjustable front shock always a plus and worth. Sorry they didn’t do that. What was the stock seat like with the rear suspension. I suspect not good, because of how stiff you reported on rear shock. Love to see an adjustable rear shock one day that was affordable. I’d give up hydraulic brakes for a high quality adjustable rear shock. That would save the investment we have to make on suspension seat posts. I have a used Kinect. I still paid $150 plus a new post sleeve, so you know what I mean. Aventure still seems hard to beat in the $1500-1900 Fat tire price range. Anyway, that’s my 2 cents. Thanks for the info.
The Mozo Fatman Sus Fork is actually pretty cheap. Saw them on Alibaba for $11. ea when bought in bulk. They don't hold air long-term well and there's no rebound adjustment, which trust me... you definitely want. I replaced my Mozo Fatman with a $140. Bolany ZTZ Cheetahs sus fork with rebound. It too is a light-duty fork, but it holds air well and the rebound adjuster and lockout works fine. I sort of baby it tho. It's miles better than the Fatman..
For $1200 less than a cyrusher; for my first ebike, I've been stuck on this bike and I want to order two tomorrow!!! Hope it doesn't take long to ship. 🤞
@@dweingast I DID!! My boyfriend and I got an adventurer and an explorer. I was sent the explorer in my least favorite color in the world😒 red. But it actually is a pretty red and be cool gave me $200 back for the mistake and I was willing to keep it. I bet the orange is really even more beautiful but I really wanted to ride my damn bike already, since mine came two weeks after my boyfriend's, I really wanted to ride with him as he was waiting for me. We love riding our bikes. We've gone for a few good rides this summer and it really helped give us something else to get out and do and have an adventure and explore without having to have a destination or pay for it! It's amazing! Issues we've had... Nothing major, Both our chains needed adjusting, they were loose and the brakes (pads, calipers)needed adjustment. These things I believe are typical and should be adjusted at a shop if you don't know how before you get out on a long ride😉. We added peddle extensions anyway to help keep clothing and ankle bones further from chain area for good measure as a personal preference. It's fun and for anyone who has a disability or handicap or injury. My guy has had spinal fusion surgery years ago which was why we insisted on a full suspension bike. If you can get on a bike and ride at all than you can make this bike comfortable in seat and reach for a little more$, and be able to get out again and enjoy the outdoors, get some fresh air and you don't know how good it will feel till you get out on a nice trail to ride. 😉 My coworker later ordered a step through Pathfinder as she has hip problems. She's been taking a ride everyday, weather permitting, after work. She mentioned the thickness of the frame behind the peddles and hitting her heels which is mentioned on that bike in other reviews and can be solved for you with a cheap fix of peddle extensions. Thanks for asking😉 I don't have much to compare but these bikes are big and kind of "Bad A$$" for an electric bike. I see ebikes everywhere now and most are smaller than this bike. I'm 5'4 height and I can barely safely stand over my bar off my seat. I even got a crotchless seat is like a stool! 😆 I love it though! Battery life awesome! Speed, Ride awesome! I'm a very active 230lbs and suspension is awesome! Go run over some down saplings and bumpy rides😊. Frame solid
Ok, so I'd like a different handle bar to turn back towards my t rex arms. I have an inergy cycles folding bike with the same type of bars, so I'm stretching. But all in all, I like that Bee Mine, bike.
BeeCool Rocks! I really love the Challenger but I want to ride bike trails and the Explorer may be accepted better by the 'bicyclists' there... Plus, in Okla City, Bike trails are for Class 1 and 2 only. Class 3 bikes not allowed! So, the Challenger make look way too cool to risk a $500 ticket. The Explorer is also lighter, better cost and about the same range as the heavier bike
Like the reviews! Are you familiar with FISSION eBikes? Have you done a review of the 750 or 750x? Love to see it. I'm on the fence of which bike to get.....
Very helpful videos. I am looking at the updated escape pro or the G-Force ZF. Are you going to get this G-Force? I assume it is similar to the one you did with papa.
Thanks for the info, have you seen one or tested the ET Cycle T1000? Seems like a decent ride but so far I’m unable to find out what brand of battery is being used or who makes the motor. Thanks for your help👍🏻
@@CitizenCycle925 Bike arrived within 1 month of purchase. Box was damaged but bike was intact. Only nut that is needed to tighten the front fender/light was missing. No complaints here. So far I'm loving it, but Chicago winter will have to pass before I start using the bike for daily commute. My goal is to take this bike over Black Bear Pass this summer. Fingers crossed.
I was leaning towards Magicycle until seeing your review. Nice job. Are there any discount codes? The 21Ah battery is the big difference. My wife wants something smaller. Lots of trails around here. Oh, self canceling turn signals are easy and been around for years. Better than a car's, too. They automatically shut off after 15 seconds and 150 feet have passed. My 1976 kawasaki 1000 LTD and 1978 kawasaki 1000 Z1R had them.
After all the time I spent searching for the best ebike for me, I finally ordered an Ariel Rider Kepler. It should be here by the end of July. It was your hill climbing video that swayed me.
@@mikemymail7044 I was referring to Citizen's comment about self canceling signals not being on motorcycles. They've actually been available on them for years. I don't know of anything made for ebikes.
I get they sent you the bike. Do you get to keep it or do you have to send it back? If you keep it, do you have to pay for it...full price or discounted? Thanks. Great review...really thorough. Looks like a Stunner X. BTW dual suspension on the Ariel Rider 48v X-Class.
The newest Himiway (got mine 2 weeks ago) cuts off at 25mph. Pisses me off big time and Himiway will only comment that they did it for safety reasons. I almost purchased the Aventure and now I wish I would've. There's even a Aventon dealer 5 miles from my house. Oh woe is me!!!
Yes I've heard quite a few comments regarding the new limits on the Himiway bikes. Not sure if it was safety, longevity, or legal reasoning or a combination of the three but I feel it took away a selling feature of the himiway bike. It was nice having access to the power even if you didn't use it.
I got my Himi cruiser about six weeks ago and out of the box it did 20mph and with a little adjustment 29. Anyway I thought all the fat e-bikes in this price range had pretty much the same capabilities. I'm 60yrs old I'd be happy with any of them!
Thanks for the thorough review. Since you've had the bike hands on, do you think it's possible to simply swap the position of the horn/turn signal with the controller for the display, so that the controller is closer to the left grip? (I don't know if the cables will permit that.) If so, that's probably what I would do. I'd rather have the controller close by and stretch for the turn signal horn, that I'll never use as much as the controller. I'm really leaning towards this bike. (I also like the Surface604 Rook (with the 21ah upgrade), but that's $800 more.)
I need to come out there and show you my latest project when I get it done. In the process of building my own mid drive. Would be kind of cool to have some of your thoughts on it.
@@CitizenCycle925 have not picked it up yet. Just drove to South Carolina yesterday to pick up the bike I want to ride it for a week or so to see what else might need to get changed. Will be going with a bafang minimum 750 but I’m gonna try and use a 1000 watt I believe.
@@CitizenCycle925 I got the bafang bbs02b 750 watt. The 1000 W was not available so I went with what I could get should be here in a few days. With 48 tooth ring I believe it would hit about 38 mph. With a smaller tires I will probably even set a bit of a speed limit on that at least until I can find some maybe 2.6 or 2.8 tires and see if they will fit.
I have two of these. While the bike performs well, the low end parts are of some concern. Especially because the Bee Cool customer service leaves everything to be desired. They offer NO product support, communication, or assistance with repairs. They wouldn't respond to my inquires, or the bike shop I took mine to to repair/replace a brake lever. Cool bike, but you're on your own after purchase.
What about the heat on passing thru those little by wires? Almost caused a fatal problem in my himi cause of that. Full power on some of these ebikes is no beuno . Wires cant take it full time
Very good of you to mention that! So, he showed the right side, and the adjustment is on the left? I wonder how he missed that?! lol How many adjustments does it have?
I just got my first E bike it’s a Cyrusher,,I put it together and it’s like the back tire is too large for the rim have you seen that before, I aired it up and sat on it and the tire popped off. I took it to the local bike shop they aired it up I drove a two blocks from the tire popped off have you seen that before?
Yes, you need to seat the bead properly. I had the issue myself on my XF650. I took my time and slowly filled and pushed the bead into the rim, filled some more and kept going in that cycle until 20PSI

MOSFETs in controller are rated 25amp max, which is why it is set for 22amp max
Great thorough review. Looks like a real winner!!
I Liked what Bee Cool Explorer offers at the price.
Maybe a 10 second cutoff switch for the turn signals? That would be cool.
I think the stripe on most tires are for visibility. Most bike accidents happen from the side
Fiido m1 cost me 750 English pounds front and rear suspension 20in fat tyres and I love it .
Himi- Out of the box, full charge 7th gear, 9 PAS full throttle pedaling me arse off flat ground, no wind etc.
Display fluctuates 29.7 28.7 back and forth nothing between. That's glitchy! Contacted Bolton and company said
a big maybe on a new controller and display.
Thanks for the awesome review!
The battery cells are made by Lishen.
The Aventure is 15Ah not 18Ah
It says 21ah though... What am I missing
@@JoeDubs432 my aventure is 15 ah battery
@@JoeDubs432 Aventture is made by Aventon. BeeCool makes the Adventurer and both are mentioned in this video.
The red button disables the throttle so you don't accidentally engage it as you get on on or off the bike, as if not to throw you off unexpectedly.
or get you in trouble if you accidentaly press it for example when your going up a hill ,not good i 'd rather use the brake i changed it on my Rover .
Carl
Nice review, just ordered one for my first e- bike.
Hope you enjoy it!
Hi,that looks like the same shock that came on my 48v xclass I got last month if so try turning cylinder counter clock wise,it ain't easy but worked ( storm) was name on shock .I see now yours is slightly different
Thanks for review I guess really got Wednesday but anyway looks like cool bike most knobs people want three things speed range and price
Nice to change it up a little well done.
Loved it great buy....
Great post very informative. You helped me decide to buy this bike. They should give you a little to boot
I’d like to see a pedaling range test. Please!
Cells are made by Lishen.
Finally an in depth review on this bike \m/
Two and one half inch tires on that thing it would be killer crazy for city riding.
Definitely looks like the best bang for the buck
Ordered mine in aug. Hopefully will be here on a couple of weeks thanks for the review cause I didn't test ride one yet
So you ordered it did you get it yet how did this bicycle workout for you?
The freesky Alaska has rear shocks 35 miles per hour 35/ 50 miles on throttle only .100 miles with paddle with throttle.. $1800.00.
They make self canceling blinkers for bikes, have been for years. They work by time or by after the turn when the bike levels back up.
Just checked, Cyrusher batter is 17ah, not 13. Certainly 21 appears to be better. I guess quality of the battery is also important.
Battery on the Cyrusher XF650 is13AH, you must have an XF900 that one has the 17AH
Amazing review,…..you’ve just convinced me on getting this bike instead of the rad plus,…..thanks so much and you’ve just got another subscriber
Thanks for the sub Raul! Good bike for the price and fantastic range as well 🙂
For $1200 less than a cyrusher; for my first ebike, I've been stuck on this bike and I want to order two tomorrow!!! Hope it doesn't take long to ship. 🤞
Did you ever get your be cool bike? How did it work out for you?
Nothing major,
Both our chains needed adjusting, they were loose and the brakes (pads, calipers)needed adjustment.
My coworker later ordered a step through Pathfinder as she has hip problems.
Frame solid
I think this is the one I'm gonna get its really nice for the price. How were the brakes on this one?
The fork adjustment is on the other side
Bee cool is a good looking bike.
Ok, so I'd like a different handle bar to turn back towards my t rex arms. I have an inergy cycles folding bike with the same type of bars, so I'm stretching. But all in all, I like that Bee Mine, bike.
It would be awesome if it came in a lower mid section for us older guys but great review
I think it was probably hard to go much lower with the rear suspension in the way.
I hit $1700 on a poker machine during lunch today. Purchasing one tomorrow.
The KBO Bike is the same thing with more range, thinner tires, and built in lights for a better price.
The KBO looks like a nice bike, but no rear suspension, no hyd brakes and a smaller battery.
For sure I'm just thinking price wise. Of course if you have the money get the bee, but if you're looking for mostly range for price go kbo
Very helpful videos. I am looking at the updated escape pro or the G-Force ZF. Are you going to get this G-Force? I assume it is similar to the one you did with papa.
Did you set the P8 to 100 to get the full speed or what setting down you use?
Hey Citizen,
Would you consider this bike a good candidate for adding the front hub motor kit you used to create your all wheel drive rad rover bike?
Awesome review, thanks for the info, it’s been difficult trying to find a bike like this that ship to Canada 🇨🇦. Keep up the great work bro 😎
There's a few companies based in Canada also Biktrix, Rize, Fabulous.
I think I saw that Canada limits ebikes to 500 watts. I don't know if that is on federal land or anywhere.
Thanks for the info, have you seen one or tested the ET Cycle T1000? Seems like a decent ride but so far I’m unable to find out what brand of battery is being used or who makes the motor. Thanks for your help👍🏻
8:25 - "that would be cool". Pun intended? :-). Great review. I've ordered one in orange. There is $200 discount until 12/31/21.
Wishing you a speedy delivery :)
That's a cool Beach Cruiser bike
Where do you get these self canceling turn signals then? I can't find any any advice or locations?
@@mikemymail7044
I was referring to Citizen's comment about self canceling signals not being on motorcycles.
He gets to keep the ebike at no cost in exchange for the review.
But I believe he does very honest reviews.
How does this compare to an Aventure or a Himmiway Cruiser in terms of torque and speed?
Same here … I was fully disappointed… hoping someone will
Make an aftermarket controller/display for the Himi
I got my Himi cruiser about six weeks ago and out of the box it did 20mph and with a little adjustment 29. Anyway I thought all the fat e-bikes in this price range had pretty much the same capabilities. I'm 60yrs old I'd be happy with any of them!
@@berrymucuckiner4890 request in with Bolton, it's a big maybe.
What did you do to get it to go from 20 MPH to 29 MPH?
Thanks for the thorough review. Since you've had the bike hands on, do you think it's possible to simply swap the position of the horn/turn signal with the controller for the display, so that the controller is closer to the left grip? (I don't know if the cables will permit that.) If so, that's probably what I would do. I'd rather have the controller close by and stretch for the turn signal horn, that I'll never use as much as the controller. I'm really leaning towards this bike. (I also like the Surface604 Rook (with the 21ah upgrade), but that's $800 more.)
I will take it!

Haha i bet!
I need to come out there and show you my latest project when I get it done. In the process of building my own mid drive. Would be kind of cool to have some of your thoughts on it.
What mid drive did you go with?
Been looking and you pretty much closed the deal. Was also looking at KBO ranger. Only diff
Great review! Do you know the diameter of the seat post tube? I called customer support and the person I talked to didn't know.
On the bike I have I believe it's 31.6 mm
When the battery is charging there should be a red light illuminated until the green one pops up correct?
Seriously thinking of getting one they’re 200 off right now!! Still recommend it?
I have two of these. While the bike performs well, the low end parts are of some concern. Especially because the Bee Cool customer service leaves everything to be desired. They offer NO product support, communication, or assistance with repairs. They wouldn't respond to my inquires, or the bike shop I took mine to to repair/replace a brake lever. Cool bike, but you're on your own after purchase.
What about the heat on passing thru those little by wires? Almost caused a fatal problem in my himi cause of that. Full power on some of these ebikes is no beuno . Wires cant take it full time
Bee Cool and add the blinker light at the switch, we are getting old and leave it on more
Which e-bike would you suggest for a guy 6'2 and 275 pounds, for range, speed and hill climbing? Rad Rover 5 sucks, my bad. Thanks
Another great review. What Bike/GPS app are you using? Thanks
For the record the forks do have an adjustable load, the left side of the fork
Very good of you to mention that! So, he showed the right side, and the adjustment is on the left? I wonder how he missed that?! lol How many adjustments does it have?
Mine doesn't have an adjustments.
Good job. Nice review
I know they aren't exactly the same, but what do you recommend... this bike, or the Himiway Escape? Thanks!
