Talon. I would love to see a video explaining your road to minimalism while living in the van. My favorite season of your channel was when you were traveling around the US. Been supporting since your WRX days.

As a former owner of a Kimbo camper, better, be careful, taking advice from a guy who says buying older Tacoma, and put a kimbo on it!
You have to make sure that the Tacoma will take the weight, which is close to 1000 pounds. Then you have to buy E rated tires and most likely airbags for the back suspension. You’re better off buying a sport version of the Tacoma for the ability to carry more weight. It’s always best to talk to the manufacturer.

Man, I think both of them are super dope. But I have to say when you first came out with the Kimbo, I was in love haha. I think the Kimbo setup is really dope looking, and the wrap on both is awesome. Love the new wrap on the van, and the little bit of orange really sets it off. I've been watching you for a good minute. Keep up the good content, bro.

Haven’t caught your show since you had the all-black Subaru Crosstrek; I liked that build. Recently I bought an all-black 2022 Jeep Willys Sport to get a 6sp convertible that with the Deep Sleep system and a Goose Gear Tailgate Table my wife and I can go traveling and camping with; yet use as a daily driver. Glad to see your channel grew; and thanks for giving me the basic idea with your Subaru for what we eventually bought & kitted out.

Kimbo would be my choice for off-road getting way back in nature.
However, gas mileage would be my concern, so I’m thinking of converting a Toyota Sienna minivan which gets 36 mpg. Stealth camping would be an advantage of a Sienna.

Talon, Great video's, Thanks To Mike, that's how I found you, I have a question for you, what made you pick a Kimbo instead of a four-wheel camper which I like because of low profile and probably a little better on gas also fights through the winds when traveling on Highway?

I like the capability of being able to-if needed-roll out of bed and hop in to the driver seat and drive off. Not having to go outside to operate your vehicle is pretty big. From stealth considerations to it maybe even saving your skin.

Very informative video. For me, the van would be preferrable but for the cost. The truck would be more realistic because of my budget. But I don't like truck campers because of having to exit the camper to get to the cab. That makes me uncomfortable, from a safety point of view. I may hardly ever feel the need to bug out, but that one time may be critical. Many years ago I traveled over North America in a VW camper bus. It was slow but with the proper maintenance (which I could often do myself) I would always get there. I got spoiled being able wake up and hop into the front seat and drive off.
