been living full time out of our Kimbo for 10 months now....feels like home and we never get tired of hanging out in it. love it!...made a few videos so far to view on my channel... @BirdPhish @@prasidhsreedharan3071
You mentioned that the heater really ties to the place together, have you considered getting a really nice rug it’ll really tie the whole room together. I saw that recommendation and a really great documentary called the big Lebowski or some kind of documentary about bowling
I honestly hadn’t considered or thought it was a good idea to have a camper on a Tacoma until I started following your build. Now I’m seriously considering a kimbo as a good winter option!
Chairs on the side of the camper in the bed. LavaBox in the truck and skis on the side or inside (I’ll make a video on the ski setup before the end of the season)
P.s LOVE the simplicity of the Kimbo....things that I would change ( the ladder isnt great) probably roof rack on top (SUP boards and kiteboards...just my thoughts!!!
Well I am a recent subsciber ....and like Kellar (Digging the content)....will be a long time viewer going forward, and I might add, going into retirement soon, and ordering a KIMBO for me and my LAB....were going to find some Epic kiteboarding spots, along with kayaking, snowboarding and skiing and of course ONE Wheeling ....keep sending please!! 1000 islands Candad
I think a metal channel for a hospital style curtain would really be great for day sleeping and blocking out light or for stealth camping on a street and keeping light from shining outside.
Talon, I agree with virtually everything that you say in both this video and the 'hate' video, but I think the top of my negative list is simply finding a comfortable place to sit and read or relax. How do you do it? My Kimbo is like yours except no A/C and the Dommetic refrigerator is a slide-our drawer instead of having a door. It is fine, except the controls are very hard to get to and adjust.
I am wondering if you would be willing to or already have done a video about how you built out your Tacoma to support the Kimbo? I am seriously considering one but am a little intimidated about how help my truck do a better job with the camper.
There is a full playlist that you can start from the beginning. Also a detailed build list found on my website 👍🏻 ruclips.net/p/PLwa9FILGzeGZQynvVGny-JY0geBmZ_tf1
I wish my traditional bumper-pull camper was this... accessible(?). I wish I could easily remove a panel to get access to what's behind it, especially now that it has water damage somehow. Damn campers.
Thank you for the video. Question: I saw that you removed the AC unit…is there an AC option that you know of that would work without having to hook up to shore power or a generator?
I like the simplicity of it for sure . 1 1/2 yrs ago when I was looking, I got a new travel lite camper for just under &11,000 I’m not sure why I didn’t get the Kembo , I did look at them . I love mine for my taco it’s at 1,000 lbs .
Great video and love the channel. Can you elaborate at all on how you have the ecoflow connecting to a bus bar? Do you use a fuse box or just a bus bar and what is powered off that? The max amps out of that 5521 output must be pretty low???
Love the Kimbo and am seriously considering. Are there any owners in the mid-Atlantic region that would allow my wife and I to take a look inside their Kimbo? My wife gets anxious if the sleeping area is tight and we'd like to check it out...thanks in advance.
@@TalonSei in our Scout Kenai. I added a propex heater which works flawlessly in any blizzard we've encountered, but the Dickinson can't stay lit at high altitude and a little wind. We've done all adjustments, different orifices, regulator adjustments, etc., it just doesn't work at high elevation and wind.
Scout is notorious for mounting the heaters too high and they don’t have any protection on the chimney to stop it from blowing out. That’s a very common issue with their campers.
@@TalonSei Yes, ours is in a 21 kenai, lower than the other models, the issue as you say is the protective "shield" you have on the kimbo to keep it from blowing out. Even in no wind, it does not provide enough heat, nor stay lit at 10k elevation at temps around 0-20 F. It would be interesting to see how your kimbo would do in a true winter test at Wolf creek overnight lot during a snow event parked next to us. Thanks for your reply, and the videos!
Digging the recent content, man. Appreciate you sticking to making videos after all these years. I’ve been around since pre ~30k subs.
Appreciate you sticking around! 🙏🏼
@@TalonSei Any plans for SEI Adventures? Seems like you left it in limbo for now (I understand why)
6 weeks away from picking up my Kimbo.....some new options now...mine will have 3 solar panels on top! Thanks for sharing!
How are you liking it?

I got all excited cause I saw one on a full-size truck the other day and was like "oh, hey. I recognize that kind of camper." 😁
It really tied the room together
Great build - expect nothing but from dude at trayvex -- stellar vid- honest review 💥💥👍😎🥃
Dude I love the Kimbo! I hope to meet you and see it one day to experience what it is all about!!
Great video Talon! Love this #outdoorlife content you share with us. Safe travels!
Very cool. The separation peices make total sense ✌️
Kimbo is AWESOME! :)
What do you do about chairs, fire pit and my big one, Where do you store your skis??!

True, ladder is not much use.
It's a great option better than other campers. But the van have It's own qualities.

Not that is offered by kimbo.
How hot does it get in there during the summer or do you have some kind of air conditioning
I removed my AC because I’ve never needed it in the summer.
How does the tacoma handle the set up? Also.how is comfort with tacoma driving position? Did it get better with power seat
That’s so cool what kind of truck do you need for that? Like can I get by with a Ranger or do I need like an F150?
Anything with a 6ft bed.
@@TalonSei cool thanks

Yup !
lets talk about 5 things we love about how spicy this mans beard is
🌶️ 🌶️🌶️
How's that eco flow working out? I plan on full timing in a Kimbo when I get one and that Ecoflow is definitely getting replaced.
Zero issues with mine thus far
Can you shine it like an airstream
You definitely could. I never will tho.

1 of the AC plugs run power to a bus bar which splits the power between the ceiling fan, fireplace fan and carbon detectors etc.
hey talon just wondering will there be anymore EDC, GUN & KNIFE Reviews ?
you in Utah??
just caught a glimpse of a taco with a Kimbo on it going up to Snowbird/Alta
it's dumping out could tell if it was you.
Nope
Hey talon I’m a minimalist when it comes to logos on clothing. Do you have any shirts with just a small SEI logo?
I have a few but the store is currently closed until January 1! Check back then 👍🏻

@@TalonSei We are in Gettysburg but can travel to wherever you are....thanks so much
More I learn about the Kimbo, the more impressed I am … Made in the USA!
Do they make the Kimbo for the Gladiator?
It’s not vehicle specific, just one model for trucks with 6ft beds 👍🏻
Our Dickinson blows out all the time at 10k elevation 25 mph winds, won't stay lit.
In what application? In a kimbo? New / old kimbo? Something else?

My top 5 things are the SAME as what you listed. I sleep better in my Kimbo than I do in my apartment!
Best mattress ever!

I don’t want a microwave in here but I could add one where my Anker battery sits
Slice!
I think I'm the only who is over the Kimbo content. It is an amazing product but im ready for new content and gear reviews.
Damn, first.

Why go to the trouble of the audio dub if you're just going to fill it with static, cracks, and pops. I have a headache from listening to this now.
