It’s not something they currently offer but I agree, I think this is something that they could easily offer as an upgrade.

@@TalonSei I think rather than an upgrade which they will charge extra $$ for, Kimbo’s Dave King should just make the change.

    What a simple, but functionally/aesthetically pleasing “mod”👍🏼

Just picked up one of those faucets for truck camping. Tried it out at Overland East a few months back and it’s a great solution for a lot of camping and outdoor wash stations.

Hey you can easily shorten the bungee cords, pull, fold to desired length, cut the excess, and lock it with a tie wrap or ziptie or something...and install same way with eyelet

That little faucet thing seems to solve problems for LOTS of different people.

Talon if you get near Madison, WI on your way to MN would love to have a quick meet & greet. Nice mod on getting rid of the baskets. It helps to "see" whata in atorage.

That's why I always use masking tape when I drill into finished wood. I've ruined my fair share of finishes lmao. I am a clutz too, so... 🤣🤣
That Dometic water faucet is pretty cool. I may have to upgrade soon...

Great video (as usual)! Really helpful to see how you replaced the faucet. Hands-free water is awesome to have. I'm curious to see what sink bowl upgrade you go for - if you decide to do that

For the smaller bin, if you did eyelets on the large opening then went around the corner with the bungees then eyelets on the smaller rectangle (matching the height of the others), might be a nice look and keep the matching aesthetic as the other opening 👍 great upgrades and keep up the awesome content!

Very informative video, I've watched a couple of yours already. I'm considering the Kimbo to solve my part time living in the US and I all ready have a 4x4 Tacoma. Do you have the headroom and length of the bed across measurments? I'm 6'2", wanting to make sure I fit. Thanks..

Faucet was a nice upgrade. Have you looked into adjustable bungee cords? Not sure if they will look aesthetically pleasing or not but you may want to look it up. Can also look into rubber bungee cut it and screw it and maybe find a way to cover the ends with screws with some sore of cap.

I can adjust these by tying them off.

Maybe update bungees with elastic cord laced across with a toggle instead so you don’t have metal catch points or rubbing on the cabinet. Faucet it a great upgrade!

I wasn't too fond of the look of those basket either...nice idea. I picked up some Quoll Cube packing cubes by Step22... Guess I'll find out in 4 weeks if they'll fit in that space when I pick up my Kimbo :). Thanks for sharing!

Step 22 cubes might be perfect there. I am going to try some of sizes I have in there once I get back home

I like the faucet but would replace the open storage, which I don't like, with a two drawer cabinet.

You could still use the baskets with the bungee to keep the sides from broken down.

One suggestion: Is there a way to purge the Dometic Pump/Faucet of liquid after it is used to prevent the freezing of any liquid inside the pump assembly?

    • @TalonSei
      @TalonSei  Год назад +3

Yup just disconnect the hose and turn it on for a few seconds to let it drain out

I mentioned in a previous video about possibly doing that but for now it works fine. I rarely wash dishes in the camper which would be the main benefit of a larger sink
