    Been running my kimbo the last couple weeks in north central Vermont….temps in the mid 20s. The kimbo and Dickinson heater have been awesome. My only challenge has been some condensation on the inside, particularly on the back door. I’ve cracked one window and use the small dehumidifier (from kimbo)…still working/trying multiple solutions…

    • @telcobilly
      @telcobilly Год назад

      What dehumidifier do you use? I have a fiberglass slide in shell with terrible condensation? Thanks

    • @eriknordberg3317
      @eriknordberg3317 Год назад

      @@telcobilly I am using the small Pohl and Schmitt dehumidifier that came with the kimbo. I'm going to try the maxair fan on low and running my dickinson longer through the night. That will probably help a lot.

      Water is a byproduct of propane combustion. Something you might consider, try one of the cheap diesel heaters that are all the rage right now. I know the Dickenson is permanently mounted, but might be worth a try if you really find condensation a problem.

    Before I got the sprinter, I used to run a Northern (not very) Lite truck camper on the back of a Ram 3500. GREAT camper but a pain to mount on the truck. Everything you say about the suspension upgrades is a must. Had the same air bag system you have and it was awesome. Also, not sure if you mentioned it, but the truck has to be rated for the camper weight. Both for safety and legal issues.

    Cool video! Your truck is looking tuff! love the new wheel and tire setup.I run a wide setup myself,love that look.Was curious how hard it is to install the Kimbo and what upgrades would be necessary to the truck.this video answers both.looking forward to the Kimbo adventures❤

    Picked mine up about a month ago. Think it's set up from the factory about the same as yours but with a Max air fan and Bluetti AC 60 batteries. Also use the extensions for my F150. Not sure if I need to remove the batteries during the week when its cold out and Im not using the camper. Do you take the batteries out when you aren't using the camper?

    • @TalonSei
      @TalonSei  Год назад

      If I won’t be in the camper for an extended amount of time I will because the cold takes a toll on batteries after awhile.

    In my situation I can only have one adventure vehicle. Nothing can be everything, I get that. Since you have excellent examples of all three setup types; truck/RTT, van, truck/camper, which would you choose if had to reduce to one only. I already run an RTT on a Gladiator (Mojave) and it’s not working for me so really I’m desiring either the Mode or camper setup. What’s your pick between the two and why? Tough and detailed answer I know so thanks in advance for your attention.
    Side note: given that we haunt much of the same spaces here in CO I’m surprised I’ve yet to spot you in the wild, lol.
    ✌🏼❤️😊

    • @TalonSei
      @TalonSei  Год назад +2

      That’s a really tough choice because there are pros and cons to each. If I had to pick just one I would probably say my storyteller simply because of the community.

    • @gregoryblock9083
      @gregoryblock9083 Год назад

      Thanks for your input. I’m not often accused of being a people person so that criteria probably won’t factor very high, lol. That you would find such difficulty choosing between a truck camper and a built van comforts me in that I can’t make to bad a choice. My current working options are a putting a Moonlander on the Gladiator and building it out and a Transit with a Wayfarer conversion as a starting point. Wayfarer is a Colorado Springs company with a unique vision and I’m sure you know the Radica guys up in Denver. ✌🏼❤️😊

    • @TalonSei

      Talon, knowing how you like the best of the best, I’m a bit surprised you’re using Ryobi power tools. That would be the equivalent of you owning Hi-Point firearms, maybe a Keltec here and a Keltec there in the pew pew world. If you want power tools that’ll more than get the job done, power tools you can be proud of…head on over to Home Depot and get yourself some Milwaukee M18 and M12 Fuel power tools, e.g. the most power 12 volt stubby 3/8” impact wrench on the market.
      How’s that Mike?

    • @TalonSei
      @TalonSei  Год назад +2

      Ryobi makes solid stuff and when I only use them a few times a year… if my $30 tool breaks, I’ll just go buy another one. They haven’t failed me yet.
