Enjoyed the interview with Mark. He created an amazing truck camper. I have a Toyoda Tundra 5.7L long bed. I prefer the idea of the using the Tacoma with the Kimbo, perfect combination. The way Mark designed the 6’ Kimbo gives it a long bed feel which I find interesting. Out of the box thinking every step along the way. I am former Navy and men who become Captains of boomers are quite remarkable in every way. I thank your father for his service to the nation.
An awesome creation Mark! I'd love to permanently affix one of these beauties to my new Toyota Tundra and deep dive into all of our Canadian weather and territory. Peace..
It was great to see the two of you talking about the development of the Kimbo, while sitting in my home office and glancing over my shoulder and out the window at my Kimbo #232 sitting on its pad waiting for the next adventure.
Took Kimbo # 310 and my reg cab Taco up the Burr Trail Switchbacks in Capital Reef just a few weeks ago.... no problem with the short wheelbase reg cab. Wish i had a submarine captain for dad lol...
Love your chats w him. Such an interesting dude. Ya'll's minds together could be dangerous, lol. The cool thing is, we benefit from your relationship. Its a win win, and I am being totally selfish haha.
Great video! Would love to hear more backstories on brands you partner with. I for one love to support companies who have good visions and real stories/meanings behind them.
I want one insulated real well for winter, in the cascades, for my crew cab short box, 2500hd duramax, that I pull my enclosed snowmobile trailer with. Waking up, and riding from the snowpark, is way better than leaving home at 5am, driving 2-4 hours 1 way, and driving home exhausted at the end of the day, slapping yourself to stay awake, after burning 6000 plus calories riding in the mountains all day.
I'm just curious as the wait is now about a month for a Kimbo and with the rest of the RV sector seeing huge slowdowns adding a second design feels like it may pull people from the Scout/etc campers designed for full sized trucks. Everything I have seen indicates they have the bull process and quality aspects of the Kimbo 6 dialed in and they are on cruise control.
Great talk, thank you, very interesting. I think the Kimbo is a really beautiful thing, both inside and out. Looking forward to seeing you take the Kimbo out lots over the winter.
Great interview. Mark King IS the reason I bought my Kimbo. Such an interesting guy. Why the name Kimbo for the camper? Would love that answer! #67 in Buffalo, MN.
“Sub”consciously, pun intended. Yup. That was a great interview with Mark. You got my attention when Mark talked about his Dad being the Captain of a nuclear sub. What a great product the Kimbo is.
HOPING that Mark aligns with a Cdn Distributer....(CANADA is cold) ...and the price point is exactly what the market would support (myself included)....Bellingham Washington is a little far for this EASTERN ontario....future buyer ...Cheers, and always love the Stuff and Things......Warmest of regards, 1000 islands Canada!!!
Nice camper. Do u make a camper for a 8' bed? Or what does one look like in a 8' bed? I have a gmc 3500 srw. Im actively looking now. Ready to buy now....
Great interview!! I bet you and Mark spending some time together will end up making more improvements to the Kimbo!! And you guys can make content while doing it!
@@TalonSei sweet! I’ve been watching your videos for a while now and I want to invest in a 3rd or 4th gen to ultimately get a Kimbo. I’ll use your videos as guidance!
Mark seems like such a chill dude who is just making things that make him happy! The story of Kimbo is fascinating.
Kinda reminds of an Elon musk with the way he talks too

I went on a tiger cruise from Pearl Harbor to Lahaina Maui in the 90s. So much fun thanks to the Navy!
Now I kind of want a kimbo for the vibe.
One day, I'll get one. Hilariously, it may just end up on some land as my home for a bit. I love the look and design of it all.
What a great interview with an interesting, inspiring guy.

We need the 8ft Kimbo!!!
I might have ended up with one if there was that option. Ended up with a Scout Kenai instead.
I love the Tacoma set up with the kimbo on.
I’m about to make my deposit next week! Thank you for making these videos, it really convinced me this is the best choice for me!
Cangradulation from Canada 🇨🇦 hope to see you soon. 2024 may be have a great year 🎉
Yessssss!!!! I’ve been dying for some kimbo videos and this was next level! 🤘🤘
Fascinating Interview. Greetings from Graz in Austria 🙋♂️

Great video love so see the backstory on companies.
Thanks for watching 👍🏻
wow very interesting content friend
So dope I want to be equipped enough to experience that lol
Looks awesome, loved the background of the Kimbo and the furnace/ stove looks so good
Damn! Great interview. What a interesting guy. Well done as usual.

Wish Mark would build bigger size for Ford F-250. Also, why the name Kimbo??

Fascinating interview! Well done, TS!!
Put the first Kimbo on the Cybertruck and that would look sick

The first aluminium one looked like a Cyber camper.
Meeting at the Top 👌
Any word from Mark on them building a larger Kimbo dedicated to full size trucks?
Mark mentioned he would love to expand to something larger like a Series 8 once the company grows larger
This was my question as well. It would be great to have one designed for a full size

I’d like to see one on the 2024 Tacoma with the 6" bed and higher payload
Martian design, I like it 💪🏽

Good question! I will ask Mark and get back to you 👍🏻
Great story loved the video 👍🔥💙
Thanks for watching 👊🏻
I picked up a Kimbo back in June this year and so far i am loving it.

Q: how does it feel a high roof on trail, when off camber situation. CG is very high
Kimbo Slice never got to see his dream take off 😢
There's a guy in Casper, Wyoming that has one on his newer Ford ranger. It'd be awesome to check on out. Safe travels. Back story was interesting.
Remind me of Cybertruck
Are you at all interested in starting a new project with the 4th gen taco?
There is a good chance I will start something with one next year 👍🏻

409 here - great video and insightful to understand what went into the design. Also great to hear about his journey founding the company
If Guy could figure out how to make a camper/Sled deck, us backcountry snowmobile idiots, would crawl over each other to get one.
Wanted to thumbs up, but 666, would be evil to one up it
