I lived in Dallas, Tx for 33 years, but in June 2021 when I started moving all around from TX AL FL CA and then I'll be leaving LA in Aug. I always get rid of 90% of my stuff so I only take what fits in my Jeep. I once heard a minimalist say: "If it can be replaced it for $20 or within 20 minutes on Amazon, then let it go." It's amazing how much money I wasted from 2014-2021 to fill up a storage units, only to donate everything, except for what fits into 1 shoe box!! I realized that if I didn't use it for all those years, then I really don't love it, so why keep it boxed up when GoodWill is willing to take it all off my hands.
I’ve been watching nomad life stories for over 6 years, I’ve never seen such an interesting camper. Super chill guy was a pleasure to meet! Terrific interview!
I just love all these interesting interviews....getting to know all the nomads traveling ...Their stories and how they live...seems FREEDOM is the number one ...best thing that everyone mentions...
Such a lovely man and his passion and outlook on life is so great. His rig for a man cave on wheels looks pretty comfy. And I agree I'd never thought he was over 60 to 65 at best. He must have young genes in his bloodline because he is aging very well and slow. Blessings and Love!
😂😂😂 Stay out of jail Mr Kim! I love this rig it’s like living in a tree house it’s up so high. I also love his choice of fabric patterns. Congratulations on your grandbaby.
Carol, Mr Kim seems like a Nice Person to talk to and I Loved his Camper. Eventho its small he has everything he needs and know where there are thats Awesome. Living his BEST LIFE EVER. Thanks for Sharing Mr Kim Enjoyed and Blessings 🙏❤️🥰😇 From Pennsylvania,USA
I agree about all the sharp edges in such a small space. In my tiny kitchen is nothing BUT sharp edges. Been scouting around for cupboard door guards. At end of first week living in my apartment I had accrued bruises all over my torso from running into cupboard door edges. 😳
What a sweet guy, nice to meet folks who have done what they have had to do and then turned it into an adventure! His daughter is a lucky lady to have him around. The camper is of course very compact, but wisely he has found ways of storing his stuff without getting into over complicated, expensive solutions. I think the name of his camper is very fitting also - a Kimbo for Kim 😄
Los Barillas is just beyond La Paz - great place and you can stay on the beach at the arroyo for free - great Picle ball at La cancha - not expensive !
Kim, I have Kimbo #232 which I bought pretty much loaded with about everything but the shower. I am 9 years older than you and I don't live in the Kimbo, just mostly overnight in it on occasion. My most helpful addition has been several grab bars and handles to get up and into the camper, and to climb in and out of the bed. I finally figured out a comfortable way to sit and read which was my biggest gripe until then. Now it is my favorite place to read. Really enjoyed the video of your setup.
Looks like he has everything a man needs all within arms reach. It's good to see people just doing what they're telling viewers just to do too. He seems to be liking it more than maybe even he thought he would.
I Love this guy, he totally made a way outta no way for himself. Now he's happy, healthy and quiet the blessing to his daughter. ❤ I Loved when he said I Love Stuff 😂 most say the opposite
Kimbo Campers is kind if a boutique operation located in Bellingham, Washington. I think there are only about 450 of these units on the road. They do have a website.
Ah just the right size camper for traveling. I was thinking about how I could use some of my own furniture since I don’t have any skills to build. I should have kept my light weight bamboo furniture from the 90’S haha thanks for sharing this gentleman’s camper 👍
Tuank you so much for allowing me to interview you and do the tour. You're crackijg me up. Everyone loved your "gerbil nest" and seemed to think your hair was OK too. LOL Feel free to respond to any comments if you like.
I’ve owned an ambulance that I have been (slowly) converting to an rv vehicle for 2 years now. I still haven’t camped in it. Mostly done, working at it a little at a time. I just can’t get out of the normal everyday groove I’ve been in for years. It’s just like Groundhog Day in my world……… Hopefully soon.
Looks like a great rig! I’m wondering what type of truck it’s on, 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton etc. 🤔. Time for me to do some research. Thank you both for the lovely interview!
My husband died in 2019, my brother, and my son live with me and let me tell you I still feel lonely. This is something I would’ve loved to have done, I even got the van, my disability got worse. And I got rid of the van. Sometimes I’m miserable my home.
I am so sorry to hear of your tomes of loneliness. You are certainly not alone in those feelings. I invite you to join in my GLOW LIVES every Saturday at 3pm pst. You will find a kind and wonderful Group of people who have become fast friends.
Thing is to qualify for SSA, Medical benefits, a Drivers License and to register vehicles we must have a Permanent Physical Address. When living in an RV or Van as a full time Nomad there's no good answer ! 😢
I'd love to hear Jim's story. Not with this interviewer is so intrusive I can't hack it. She didn't ask, 'can we go inside and take a look', she said 'let's go inside'. Controlling the man, then she asked his age, rather than let him share his story. She is rudely intrusive, and I would withdraw from her and say I have to leave! A better interviewer will find Jim and his camper, and I'll listen to them.
Prior to starting the interview we discussed going into the camper as well as concurring about some of the things we’d talk about. Carol is awesome. Couldn’t be nicer
Getting divorced. As Kim said that wasn't something he planned or thought would happen. As Kim stated je always wanted to travel but dodn't think it would be the way he is doing it. It has taken time but per Kim he is adjusting and something that seemed to be the worst turned out to be a blessing.
Curious, he mentioned he was lonely, but he mentioned that he had a partner, does his partner not like to travel? I also want to say, if he stops in the L.A. area I’d love to meet and talk with him, he’s so interesting. If Carol contacts you and interested in meeting , I hope she puts an email or some way to contact her, I will give her MY contact info.
Why would you want to deal with a place that don’t EVEN want you there… I have NO UNDERSTANDING…especially when there’s beautiful places here…is it because you just think you can or have a death wish…hell, they’re trying to get here…🤷🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️ Help me understand …
The residents of Baja get some income from us tourists so, for the most part, they welcome travelers. Regardless my experience with people from central and South America whether here in the states or in their home country is that they are very warm and welcoming. I agree about the beauty here in the states. Hard to beat the Oregon coast or someplace like Bryce Canyon. But I wanted to see the whales up close and Baja is the best place to do so. I was too early to see them this trip but I’m going back.
You will think whatever you want - be as open or closed minded as you want - I love Mexico - its not perfect but it has many things to offer - I was sceptical as well but I don’t believe everything people and the media say - they have their own agenda.
Nice camper and even nicer guy with a great attitude and sense of humor. Thanks for a great interview and tour!
Kim really is a nice guy and that comes thru.
You have such a wonderful way with people! Your kindness and ability to see people’s strengths comes through so clearly! 💕
Thank you Brenda. I am so lucky to meet the nicest people!

Thank you Linda. Kim is indeed super chill.
Easy going guy , nice little camper!
I just love all these interesting interviews....getting to know all the nomads traveling ...Their stories and how they live...seems FREEDOM is the number one ...best thing that everyone mentions...
I don't know that it is always what some people are necessarily thinking of in the beginning. But I think they come to really embrace it.

Tha k you Cynthia. Sending blessings back.your way.
Love the camper! I like his setup! Kim with a KIMBO ---- looks great.
How cool is that. He was meant to have this camper!
Really nice! I love parking at my son's house and babysitting. One of the best benefits of being a nomad.
Absolutely!
House on wheels. Very creative. Love it!
Great interview with awesome person& rig.

What a nice camper!
It rally is and a truly gracious owner.
Kimbo Kim, nice story.

Los Barillas is just beyond La Paz - great place and you can stay on the beach at the arroyo for free - great Picle ball at La cancha - not expensive !
Thanks! I’ll check it out
Sounds delightful. Thanks for the tip.
I just saw a Kimbo camper-thanks for sharing this information about it, and his story!
This was the first one I'd seen.
Kim, I have Kimbo #232 which I bought pretty much loaded with about everything but the shower. I am 9 years older than you and I don't live in the Kimbo, just mostly overnight in it on occasion. Kim's total honestly is so refreshing
Love your interviews playing catch up. He does not need a domestic he can get a bougie rv 12volt fridge on amazon had mine 4 yrs use everywhere.
Supper interview ,and great guess as well.😊
Thanks. I am so lucky to meet such amazing folks like Kim.
Never seem a camper that light. Love the windows
An extra bonus is it should be easy on gas being so light.
Great interview! Thank you for the "gems" about life!
If I get to go to Baja, I am definitely taking my kayak! I like the simplicity of this rig.
Me too. Basic but extremely functional and comfortable.
What a nice guy.
Lim really is a lovely.person.
Enjoy your retirement and your travels buddy.
I love this guy
Nice guy. That bed looks so big and comfortable. I like his saying he's like a gerbil. 😅❤
Kimbo is a great camper!!!
Get an inflatable paddle board thay are super easy and fun !! Enjoy your life God is in charge !!
HE is indeed!
Great attitude. 👍
wow so cool, I wonder where he found the camper, ill have to look into that 😊

Greetings from Redondo Beach 🇺🇸Nice work on this video. Cheers 🥂
Nice man.
Yes he is.
A good guy!
Definitely
It would be great uf it had a passthrough somehow. Nice camper for vacationing😍
Thanks for letting me show off my gerbil nest. Next time I’ll comb my hair 🙄
Thanks for sharing your rig with us ...nice setup! Safe travels! 🛣🚐
Tuank you so much for allowing me to interview you and do the tour. You're crackijg me up. Everyone loved your "gerbil nest" and seemed to think your hair was OK too. LOL Feel free to respond to any comments if you like.
Ok. Thanks for the nice video. Very fun to do
Very nice! Your hair looks just fine. This is awesome for savings and a lot better than spending so much money on a mortgage.
❤❤❤❤My Favorite Lady !!!❤️❤️❤️❤️
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Kim in the appropriately named Kimbo camper!
YOU'RE THE FEMALE BOB WELLS❤❤🎉
I’ve owned an ambulance that I have been (slowly) converting to an rv vehicle for 2 years now.
I still haven’t camped in it. Mostly done, working at it a little at a time.
I just can’t get out of the normal everyday groove I’ve been in for years.
It’s just like Groundhog Day in my world………
Hopefully soon.
Fix the tailgate where it cannot be closed on you when you’re inside the camper
Thought about doing that but couldn’t figure out a solution I was capable of. I can roll out of the front window above my bed if anyone does that
What a nice man….
Is there a weight limit to what you can put in the little wall baskets? I assume the Kimbo came with them?
I am sorry but I do not.have the answer to these questions.
Very nicely done and so coziness 😊
Looks like a great rig! I’m wondering what type of truck it’s on, 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton etc. 🤔. Time for me to do some research. Thank you both for the lovely interview!
It is in a Ford 150 which I believe is a 1/2 ton. There us a website for the camper which should have a boat load of info.
Small house, Big Yard
Hey Kim or ken
The stove set up at the door, the only exit in the camper. Very bad idea, people need to do risk management before they start doing anything

Sorry to hear that you experience times of loneliness. 🙏🏾

Every time I moved from TX AL FL CA MO, I got rid of 90% of my stuff, so when I move from LA, I'll do it again
❤

You could not pay me to go to Mexico but God Speed if you do
Ha ha ! - your missing out - but to each their own - don’t believe all the misinformation!

People don't need all the stuff they have.
Ain't that the truth🤣
