- Hello everybody my name is Madzify welcoming to an 1.16+ and 1.16.5 Slime Farm Tutorial. This is a Simple and EASY and EFFICIENT Slime Farm.
We go into great depth of how to build this Slime Farm that gives us 3000+ Slime Balls per hour! This farm is really easy and efficient for the amount of resources you need to build it!

Tip: If you have a beacon in the center of the chunk and you just finished the platforms dont break your beacon just yet skip to 6:35 after you finish digging go back to 4:20 i hope i helped you

This is the second of your farms that I’ve built and I love it. The drops are insane-I really didn’t expect drop rates to be so high! Your tutorials are really reliable and easy to follow. Thank you from one Aussie to another.
Just tested it and got 66 stacks of slime balls in just over an hour (70 minutes). I’m on java, built it over deep ocean, on hard difficulty, and havent lit any caves as was hoping I wouldnt have to over the ocean.

@@spikeyltmb8549 are you playing on a server? If you are make sure the server is vanilla and not spigot or paper because it breaks the mob spawning thing (idk what its called lol) {it basically messes with the mobs spawning}. So I'd rather switch the server to vanilla and then try building because on spigot/paper servers most mob farms don't work. like creeper or slime farms being the ones mostly affected.

I just finished building this farm for the first time, easy to follow, especially when you have a beacon. I built it near my creeper farm on the ocean so I can afk and get slime and gunpowder. the rates are absolutely enough for my solo purposes.

@@vanjamilic5781 yeah sure, I built the creeper farm by wattles. he built 5 layers, I did 10. gives enough gunpowder for singleplayer. tip: light the farm up while building, I didn't and a creeper spawned and destroyed a few blocks, annoying stuff

This is the fastest early game farm for slimeballs. It's pretty much the best I've seen and I like it a lot. Slimes are so useful and necessary for redstone farms

Still works 1.20. I also discovered that you really only need to mine out 1 more block on each side from the slabs and not 3. Additionally, you can make your platforms up to y=40 as that seems to be the max spawn level
do yk if this hurts the rates at all?
1.20 works fine but the rate is extremely low in 1.20.4

Wow I was nervous while building this that I had made a mistake bc not a single slime had spawned while digging the whole thing out and multiple trips back to base didn't cause any spawns when I'd come back either. I built it in a deep Ocean and had to half build a roof at y-39 as it was right about the sea floor. No cave spawn-proofing nearby. But after literally just building the afk platform I flew back down to make sure it all looked 100% right below and I already had almost 100 slimeballs. Thanks for the awesome guide! I like that you are clear about the dimensions of stuff, some ppl are so vague but you really make it easy to follow along.

Thank you for this great guide! I just built me own, though I had to build it in a less than ideal location under the mainland. It still gives me more than enough slimeballs for my purposes though! I also... may have built one in the wrong chunk by accident and wasted a lot of time because I got the coordinates mixed up. T_T But hey, I got one working now!

@@it11790 Yeah, it works. I lit up a lot of the surface around my base and as many of the caves around it as I could, so other mobs have fewer places to spawn. On a side note, my creeper farm out over the water gives a very pretty nighttime view of my home base with all the torches twinkling in the distance below.

I'm sure with some work on his script/commentary he would be, but as is, it's kinda right where he is. Always room to grow though.
Built in 1.18.2 on my multiplayer Fabric server, works great! I just followed the video to a T and lit up caves all around. The cave lighting was the only annoying part, really. The build itself was cake to set up and works flawlessly.
Does the y level have to be changed at all?

Pretty Good Farm, but a lot of phantoms will spawn so I recommend making a phantom farm on top of the afk area, therefore you can get phantom membranes and slime

@@Rain_VR420 i tested it and it honestly depends, if on 2-4 chunks bump it up to 6 but if its above 6 then ur a-ok

Note: if the farm doesnt work as the video. Lower your render distance to 5 and the entity distance to 250 and see if the slimes are spawning and die in the killing chamber. If not, lower the height of the afk place until u see the slimes are spawning and dies in the killing chamber
It’s because this farm was made in 1.16 it is now 1.20 I recommend building my new slime farm

Works perfectly in 1.18.2
AFK'd for 3 minutes and got 50 slimeballs without even spawnproofing the river or digging out three more blocks of space, for a moment i thought it wouldn't work but when I made that platform at 134 they started spawning super fast.

What version are you on? I’m now in 1.20.4 and it spawned slime as well as every other mob but the skeletons killed my iron golems and now all I have is a massive underground pit that spawns everything but slime.
Just built took about 4 hours. Only change I made was instead of regular campfires I used soul campfires to make it a bit faster and I got 17.5 stacks after going ago for 30 min we’ll worth it and works for 1.19.2 Java

I cant get it to work, im not sure whats wrong ive built it in 2 different slime chunks but neither work my ocean goes all the way down to y40 could that be a problem?

I left my game running all night and when I woke up the chests were full as well as the hoppers. There were slime balls just in the fire. Super effective. Thank you!

You seem to still be replying to comments so I'll shoot. Would this farm still work if I just went deeper and built more platforms? I could just hang more golems. Main concern would be having all of the platforms at the right distance. Right now I've got my platforms built from 0 to 40 right now (A little late to be questioning if its gonna work I know). I have no problem down scaling if it doesn't work, I just mined out the chunk before even finding a video so I figured I would use the whole thing. Great farm and thanks for the tutorial!
It should work the same way however I don’t think it would increase the efficiency drastically!
hey~! i was curious if i have 2 slime chunks right next to each other would i do that samething except 1 side would be connected (so there would be 6 slabs) or is there a more optimal way?
You could just make the farm bigger to fit those 2 chunks dude

Hi there! I'm building this in 1.20.1. Is there a reason you have to build the platform up to Y=124 and go AFK, or can you leave the chunk and come back later to collect? Thanks for the easy tutorial :]
You need to be within range for mobs to spawn. Mobs spawn within 128 blocks of the player, anything outside that, even if those chunks are loaded, won't spawn mobs.
You have to afk otherwise the chunk will unload

how did you get high slime spawn rates? i only get a couple stacks per hour. not many slimes spawning

honestly one of the easiest slime farms That I have seen in a long time. I do have a question tho that at 2:38 you mentioned that we need to dig out 16 blocks high so does the 2 blocks on your current layer counts towards that or we have to dig up 18 blocks meaning 20 in total. Thats the only issue iam kinda concerned thats all
I believe it’s 16 total dude that’s how I work my stuff :)
The man doesn't lie. The production is pretty good. Dut if you have spare iron, gold and redstone, you could build a hopper Minecart rail road below the floor to collect any slimeballs that are dropped from the small slimes. Most likely the slime balls are just sitting there because the slimes died of fall damage. That's where the collection system comes in, though you need a lot of hoppers.

Took like 2 to 3 hours but worth it afk for 1 hour and got all the slime need for my all farms and lots of extra slime too again worth building it tq man

Amazing content and great farm but I have one question. My iron golems are dying… did I miss something in your video, or can it just not be fixed. Also more zombies, skeletons, creepers, etc. are spawning instead of smiles and they are killing my golems. How do I fix this???

Cool tutorial! I was just wondering, at 8:15 it seems like a lot of the slimeballs are going to waste on the floor instead of falling below where the hoppers are. Do a lot of them get despawned or is that just a visual glitch?
Hey dude I believe some despawn but it’s not heaps!
Just a scratch, you'll lose hundreds but in place you'll get thousands
@@Madzify would the farm still work if you were to use some water to funnel these drops into the kill chamber?
Use redstone torches instead of regular torches when lighting up the farm to get this to work in 1.19 minihud is a great help when lighting it up too.
but then the skeletons will kill the iron golems

Correct hostile mobs need a light level of 0

hello. I am very concerned about this tutorial. I built it floating in the middle of a cave in 1.18.2. I did this to prevent having to mine it out. I found it very heart breaking when i heard that i had to expand it 3 BLOCKS!!!!!! This meant i had to destroy the walls i had built already MANUALLY. Then i had to build them again. Which was extremely annoying and irritating. It felt like hitting my head on a rotating helicopter. i would rather watch paint dry in reverse than to do this agian. thank you for your understanding.

If you would place water under the inner corners of the platform and extend the campfire killing area, you wouldn't lose any slime balls
But anyways good and easy design. 👌
It's even stackleble. I used the modified version for a penta slime chunk

What is the purpose of digging out the 3 extra blocks on each side? Does it affect the slime spawning?
Just affects rates
if you're certain that you built the farm correctly & also in a slime chunk, try moving the platform down some :D add 114 to your collection areas y level (in the video his y level is 20, he adds 114 blocks to that)

what about simulation distance, do I have to set it to something for best performance, idk how much it should be for the best spawns, I am at 134 and farm starts at 20 like the video. Ty ty in advance
Not a bad guide - I used it after all. After building the AFK platform I had already accumulated about 100 slimes, so that was nice. After reading nothing blank's comment I went back into the farm area and increased the iron bars around the golems - inefficiency is one thing, but having to rebuild those golems would be a big pain.
One thing I noticed while in there was that there were some slime balls on the bottom level, that hadn't dropped into the campfire area - I'm not sure how those slimes died, but it does make me wonder if there's a pit-delivery system that could be used for that stuff. Water is an obvious solution, but you'd have to be careful to not have it run completely into the put and put out the campfires. If I notice it happening again I may experiment.

You can use other slabs if you want to dude
1.18.1 server, Only got 1 stack and 40 in 4 hours of afking, I think I did everything right, Torches on all the platforms, Etc.
Is the server a spigot server? Or a heavily populated server? Because spigot can have mob rate drops, and popular servers can also cause mob rates to drop aswell

all the caves around me are full of water/lava and its made the exact same deep cold ocean and it still wont spawn any (it spawned 1 or 2 so it is a slime chunk) any fix? 1.16.5 btw ty
Hmmm are you on a populated server? Did you make the layers the correct height are you on hard mode?
@@Madzify in on normal solo with the layers at the right height 2 and 1/2 blocks apart

TIP: if you dont wanna carry that many slabs, use the blocks that you have mined to make then, it will save a lot of space in your inventory
