For anyone wondering what happens if you build this farm just randomly in a slime chunk, not under the ocean; the rates are terrible. BUT, consider this, If it's near a spot that's always loaded due to other people or yourself on the multiplayer server, then this farm becomes the easiest farm to build. I have nearly 7 stacks of slime blocks (i've given away 3-4 stack) since the farm has been slowly running over the past week or so. If you just need a tiny amount of slime for this or that project, you don't need to build this under an ocean, just in a slime chunk.

I built this in Java 1.20.1 on a realm, and it works great!! The output is amazing, I got over a stack in just the time it took me to build the afk platform. A few things: 1) if you’re building in the ocean, make sure you’re at least 8 chunks away from land in all directions! That’ll make sure it’s out of the 128 block radius 2) the trapdoors on the ceiling didn’t work to keep in the iron golem, so I ended up surrounding him in 1 layer of slabs on the ceiling, which kept him inside.

Can you explain how you did it? I made it and it worked for a while but then the iron golem fell into the fire when I made sure that all the trapdoors were placed properly
EDIT: nevermind, the light level doesn't matter in slime chunks. Note that on 1.18, the slime spawning logic changed to light levels < 7, so the torches will light up too much area. The easy fix is to replace the torches with glow lichen (light level 7).
Just Built this farm. Honestly i only had 2 layers in my last world from one of the bigger farms and that was perfect. Playing by myself i can only build so much so fast so this tiny farm has been just perfect. Thanks! I'm also sure it could be stackable if needed, however i don't see that being necessary. I also like that you don't need to use rails. Great Farm!
Love the series! Does the iron golem ever take damage in this design? I can see occasionally that the slimes get close enough that he is able to attack them.
no but place more torches, since in logic's torch placement, some areas have a light level of 6 (which allows skeletons to possibly spawn and shoot the golem) You can just add a few more random torches to make sure it is bright.
I'm on Bedrock Ed (latest version) and I didn't even test run this on creative. I could've wasted so much time but I still took the risk and wow it's surprisingly working well! Thanks.
if the iron golem somehow manages to escape, remove all the trapdoors and make a 4x4 1 block high fence wall on the ceiling, surrounding it's platform. This will also keep it in place
Hey, I did this and replaced the ceiling trapdoors with fence to keep him in. I play Java 1.17. Slimes aren't spawning now, so im confused as to what to do. Any tips?
@@CounterHypeC Go atleast 24 blocks away from your farm and then go up by 40 or 64 blocks don't go too high or it will enter despawn radius.. And if you make it on land like me just go mining 100 blocks in all directions from your farm if you find any caves light them up. After lighthing up everything just fill those mined spaces to make sure no mobs spawn in them and your spawn rate should increase as mine did.. Also light up the surface level of your farm upto 100 blocks so no mobs spawn on them if you got a wool farm keep the carpets in a one block spaced pattern to prevent mob spawing anywhere near the cave in case you run out of torches... Also remember to Mine out sufficient space fr them.. Also you can use use the wither to clear out large spaces for you like I make slime farms on all the area which my dear wither helped me to mine 😂😂
It won't ever escape if you built the farm as logic did, however mobs could spawn (since in areas the light level is 6) Easy fix for this is adding more torches and giving a name tag to your golem. Hope this helps! :)
The headache I had to go through when trying to find slime chunks with MiniHUD overlays, that just would not work... Until I learned that overlays do not work on servers. 🤦

I don’t use optifiine anymore, I use sodium lithium and phosphorus for performance, logical’s zoom, and another mod for no fog. I think most people don’t use optifine with fabric but it’s up to you
@@liorschifrin Ya from what I've found there's quite a few equal or better alternatives to optifines features so I've just been downloading each one. Thanks again this is something I've been trying to figure out for an embarrassing amount of time.
Thanks, took 8-10 hours because of searching for the video finding chunk etc but it’s worth it
lol no video explained how to with chunkbase properly but I found a little kid explaining it better
@@boyraptor yes bro but there were so many caves near the chunk so it becomes hard if you are veteran in minecraft you understand what will happen if caves nearby
Anyone having a problem with the golem being destroyed, just put glass under him instead of the trapdoors, and around him as well 1 block high only.
Thanks for an actual good tutorial mate, other youtubers be making tutorials not knowing what a dimension even is
omg in the title i read "(no bacon required)" and i was wondering what you were talking about lmao.
It was beacon actually not bacon
DUDE this produces so much more for my single player world, thankyou and yeah it works perfectly in 1.18.1
This is soo good. Only took like 40 minutes with preparing amd selecting the chunk and everything and produces hella slime.
how much slime
I love that you are so clear. You show how to do everything and eben write waht you need in the description :D
Hey Logic, since you made a slime farm, time to make a honey farm.
It’s not much of a video. A small honey farm needs only like 10 blocks to build
Thankyou for making these videos so informative! I not only know how to do things, but why I am doing them. Thankyou!
Awesome, saves me from mining a big giant hole in the ground
Already have a big slime farm but wanted to say been loving the videos. Have a few of your other farms in my world already.
Another farm to add on my to do list for my hardcore world
Yees, it works 1.17.1 😃 I just built it in my survival world and I already have two babies. Thank you so much.
Thank you for your easy and simple tutorial!
so glad I found your channel, I've already used the gunpowder and slime farm. As long as you follow everything in the video (I forgot the afk distance/height for the first night I afked and it didn't work, obviously :P) your farms always work for me!
Wish I found this before I mined a full chunk no beacon.
This is cool though, saved me some resources building a bajillion hoppers.
Nice and easy farm. Made some small changes. instead of having 1x1 slime chunk I used 2x1. Didn't do any torching/mob proofing in nearby caves. And rates are about 2500 slime balls per hour. Thanks for the basic slime farm design.
New idea for Simply Minecraft. Make a Piglin trade system.
Nice videos keep it up!
i dont understand I build the farm but all I got was 5 slimballs and nothing and where I'm going wrong?
@@iamnotme2833 Hmm Did u build it exactly like in the tutorial?
Deserves more recognition
dude. this tutorial was absolutely AMAZING! i followed it block by block, and now have an amazing farm! its amazing. thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us
Can you explain how you did it? I made it and it worked for a while but then the iron golem fell into the fire when I made sure that all the trapdoors were placed properly
@@NarutoUzumaki-vl4vd put trapdoor all around
EDIT: nevermind, the light level doesn't matter in slime chunks.
Note that on 1.18, the slime spawning logic changed to light levels < 7, so the torches will light up too much area. The easy fix is to replace the torches with glow lichen (light level 7).
THANK YOU!!
what about the light that the fire gives off, is it an issue?
That's wrong. Nobody listen to him. The slime Spa mechanic is the same for slime chunks. In swamp it IS NEEDED to be
Thanks mate
mine still doesnt work
Just Built this farm. Great Farm!
Thanks man this really helped it works wonderfully.
Did it exactly as you did it, and it finally worked out. Thanks a lot!
Chunkbase is literally the most used tool used by technical minecrafters aside from YT for tutorials
That is exactly what I needed Logic !
You made my day ...
Love the series! Does the iron golem ever take damage in this design? I can see occasionally that the slimes get close enough that he is able to attack them.
The iron golems have more reach than slimes, so shouldn't be much of an issue
no but place more torches, since in logic's torch placement, some areas have a light level of 6 (which allows skeletons to possibly spawn and shoot the golem) You can just add a few more random torches to make sure it is bright.
@@hoodystriker101 1.18 changed spawning light level needs. Has to be 0 light now.
@@dweezildweezil2894 really? I was playing in 1.17.1 at the time and I've heard in 1.18 they can still spawn regardless of that change
@@dweezildweezil2894 I am currently playing 1.18 though and I do know the basic spawning requirements for most mobs
Thank you so much!
Thank you a lot this will help a lot with other generators that I wanna build in the future. Works great, keep up the great work.
Tip: You can use a lead to pull the iron golem in if you are having trouble pushing him in
Lol thats why I need slime balls
i wish I saw this before i spent 20 iron blocks lol
@@danielhunt6702 if you leave the chunk and come back a slime will spawn and you can go back and kill it to make the lead
@@sephn1x yeah ive built it all now its very effective
best slime farm for single player... works like a charm, thanks a lot
what are your rates?
The headache I had to go through when trying to find slime chunks with MiniHUD overlays, that just would not work... Until I learned that overlays do not work on servers. 🤦
OH, why don't they. i was wondering why mine weren't working
Just paste the seed in single-player and find slime chunks using MiniHUD and write down the coordinates and go there in the server and it will work.
What????
I found the slime chunk through minihud overlays directly in the server!
You might not have launched Minecraft through fabric version
Thanks man, Watched the video twice and made a decent farm, got 9 and half stack slime balls in just 15 to 20 mins AFK. Thanks again !! ( Also, I made this in 1.18.1, fabric)
What Y-level did you go too? cause now it goes much deeper I'm not sure if i should build mine deeper
@@beezalis9135 It is the same he made at 22 - 28
@@bibhutibhusanmoharana3928 i folllowed every move he made and i also play on fabric but i don't get a single slime to spawn..
Can confirm this tutorial works in 1.18.1
Just made this in multiplayer and it works perfectly. Directions were super clear. Thanks.
How much u got
@@dsdearrrr7786 How did I do it? I watched the video and followed the instructions exactly.
@@mudbucketgaming1337 sorry I mean how much u got a slimes? It's works?
@@dsdearrrr7786 Yeah you should get hundreds maybe even thousands of slime
If you don't have commands enabled and don't know how to find the level.dat file, select your world and instead of clicking open, click recreate. Now you will see the starter screen for a new world with the seed written of your first world. Copy the seed from there and you are good to go
/seed doesnt need cheats enabled
ik you get this alot but i am on a privet smp with friends and we needed a slime farm looked at my notification and got this kinda cool and convenient
Did it work
Just a heads up Logic, you forgot to tell how many blocks high up the afk spot is.
it is 124 blocks above the bottom block.
Omg thanks man i build it on the wrong Level and olny Got 3 slimeballs in an hour.
Hmm I'll try that because I'm not getting slimes anymore....this might help me
This is my second server building this.. the first time it didn't work, I am thinking I screwed up which chunk I was in. This time its working great!
This guys accent is better than my life
1:57 Wow. Just a few days ago i was looking at the moon in minecraft and thought that there would be a reason for the moon aside making the game more "realistic", and here it is, it help us to find Slimes. I didin't know about it. Like for that 👍
i just found a harder version that makes 4000/hr, i loved this design but i wanted even more slime balls since i want to industrialize!
How efficient is this one?
@@terroristsnakecat4830 ~1600/hr
Thank you so much! You have the best tutorials! And to all of the people wondering, Yes! It is very good and produces TONS of slimeballs!
How many slime balls per hour?
Improve rates slightly by replacing the torches with jackolanterns or glowstone embedded in the floor and ceiling
A question: would it make sense to build a variant of this farm for a double slime chunk? Seems like an easy way to increase the rates without much extra effort
The iron golem just Walks off the platform...
I think you just need the trap doors at the golems head
@@sausageroller4260 that is litterally the only Thing supposed to hold him in place. So yeah, i remembered that. Went with a different design and put the golem in the wall
15:27 MAN!!!!!!!!!! I DID EVERYTHING RIGHT AND MY IRON GOLEM JUMPED DOWN ONTO THE FLOOR!
The trap doors on top had 2x2 space between them and he still was able to JUMP DOWN!
OMG DUDE! I wasted so much iron !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
EDIT: ok so, you place temporary blocks and the trap door for the base were on top of it and to our right side (when facing the temporary blocks)
I had that on my left side. So I rebuilt it and the golem walked on the platform on his own and then it was all good.
So if you are reading this, make sure to make the trap door floor exactly like he did, extending not to your left, but to your right
Logic can you make a tutorial for the Inter-Dimensional Piglin Bartering
that isn't very hard, actually
I made a tutorial on it check it out
You should do a tutorial for a really efficient basic mob spawner!!! I watch all ur videos and they’re super helpful thank u :)
I would say build gnembons. Outside of a perimeter there is no better
in java, with commands turned off you can still do /seed to get your seed. (on single player idk about servers)
not on servers unfortunately but you should just be able to ask an admin
@@thepumpkinpigs1688 On servers only OP's can do this command.
for a server i own i used minihub + /seed. Even if you know the seed use /seed to activate it.
Nice video understood this tutorial very welll some youtubers make tutorials but very hard too understand
I CAN CONFIRM THIS STILL WORKS FOR 1.19-1.19.2 FOR SURVIVAL WORLDS
Thank you
Just subscribed wanted a few slime for a piston door but didn't want a massive underground farm project had no idea they spawned in swamps on full moons. Gonna have to go make a swamp cottage and visit it for a few nights when I need slime for pistons. Thank you!
How many block does it need to be far so we can get out of the spawning chunks ??
120 blocks any direction but up is better as it unloads most of the caves and set renderdistance to 2 in sinhleplayer for better result
Thank you so much for the help! I tried it and it's working! Now I can build my underground base.
