Slime farms have been around for a long time! Most of the designs you see today require a whole chunk to be dug out and then all the caves and overworld to be lit up to focus spawns inside the farm. In today's episode we build the easiest slime farm there is! Minimal digging and hardly any spawnproofing! This tutorial will show you how to build a simple slime farm that produces around 25 stacks of slimeballs. That is perfect for a small single player world where you don't need that much slime. Easy to build and simple to understand, this could be a day one farm, no beacon required. We also look at how to find slime chucks in various ways and explain how and where slime spawn.
Materials for this simple Slime farm:

★ Campfire: 16
★ Glass: 12
★ Trapdoor: 9

These tuturials are pretty lengthy compared to most other youtubers, but this is one of the few series that at least goes by all the details of not only "WHAT" to build but also "WHY" it is build.
So this isn't literally monkey-see-monkey-do but it is really teaching us stuff about Minecraft. Thank you for all the effort!

FINALLY! I haven't been able to find any other slime spawners that work. All of the others want me to dig out this huge array of spawn spaces inside my own mine. This one is actually optimized to reduce spawning AROUND the slime chunk so that you ONLY get slimes. This one WORKS. Thank you!!!

For anyone curious - this farm still works exceptionally well in 1.19.3.

I love this video. previously I've always been digging out entire chunks and spending days on slime farms. I spent around 30 minutes on this and it's amazing
Just made this and it works so well! I’ve made others in the past that require a beacon to dig like you mentioned in the beginning, and this saved so much time as well as being efficient. Thanks for the great tutorial!
For anyone wondering what happens if you build this farm just randomly in a slime chunk, not under the ocean; the rates are terrible. BUT, consider this, If it's near a spot that's always loaded due to other people or yourself on the multiplayer server, then this farm becomes the easiest farm to build. I have nearly 7 stacks of slime blocks (i've given away 3-4 stack) since the farm has been slowly running over the past week or so. If you just need a tiny amount of slime for this or that project, you don't need to build this under an ocean, just in a slime chunk.
I was looking for an easy way to get slimes because i didn't want to build a massive farm and i found this. Awesome Tutorial! Easy to follow, explains the mechanics, and even has the material list. Outstanding!
been watching for a while, you have some really good farm ideas. You definitely deserve way more recognition and subs!
I just stumbled over your channel and I am very impressed. Simple and easy, well explained and entertaining! Thank you for the good work and you got a new sub!
For anyone wondering, if you follow the directions EXACLTY, including building it in an ocean, it works great in 1.18.2 even at the same y-level.
thank you so much I had dug every thing up and was stressed it would not work

This is a pretty quality video. It's nice and simple, no large amounts of redstone required! Gonna build this on my friends server, thanks!

Love this series! So great for those of us who are trying to enjoy the full survival experience but don't have hours upon hours to play the game and also research how the more complicated machines work. farm works in bedrock edition (for those who want to ask)
but the difference is your afk spot must be 30+ blocks from the outer edge of the slime chunk
@Future Pope nope, for me it doesn't work if you afk high up
@Sarcastimation Realms doesn't matter, spawn mechanics are spawn mechanics!

so glad I found your channel, I've already used the gunpowder and slime farm. As long as you follow everything in the video (I forgot the afk distance/height for the first night I afked and it didn't work, obviously :P) your farms always work for me!
Did it exactly as you did it, and it finally worked out. Thanks a lot!

For anyone who wants to know: it still does work in 1.20! My go to slime farm since it came out, works perfectly. Output is basically enough for almost every player, if you want to build enormous machines or do storage tech, maybe get a bigger farm, but otherwise, it just works!
Excellent tutorial, as usual, LGB.
This is my first Slime farm ever and it works perfectly!!!!!! Keep it up!
Loving this series. Thanks for this design.
Dude, thank you so much, this was exactly what I needed! I suggested this and have no idea if you even saw it but I’m thankful nonetheless :P
I am in the middle of creating a slime chunk underneath the ocean already. I had dug out a little bit but I am going to stop digging from bedrock and use this simple farm. I am pretty sure this will be good enough for three people on a realm.
Jordan Scott yeah I’m sure it will be. I doubt I’ll even use 25 stacks my whole time playing lol

Already have a big slime farm but wanted to say been loving the videos. Have a few of your other farms in my world already.
Do you think you could make a bamboo + super smelter combo for the next Simply Minecraft video? Been needing a simple design without minecarts for a while :)
Mango has a design for minecart less smelter
I've used the furnace array that have the fuel and the item gets distributed equally(Mango design) powered by bamboo fuel and I'm here to tell you to not use it. Not that the design is bad its just not made for bamboo, it takes 3 bamboo to smelt/cook an item which will run out faster than it will refuel bcuz it's 1 fuel distributed equally, not efficient when you want to smelt roughly more than 9 stack, its good for the item that needed to smelt but the fuel requires a longer burn time, my advice use the ice and water distribution using honey block for the fuel
@@blueytg6026 Personally im not the biggest fan of using bamboo as fuel anyways. With 0-tick farms it was somewhat convenient, but i think a wood (charcoal) or kelp (dried kelp blocks) are way superior (ofc you will need bone meal in for both) now.
@@walder69 I used the flying machine design and I'd say it work great(I can't say it work the same as 0-tick bcuz I never make one), though I can see where you going, my only problem with kelp is that it requires crafting first to make the block which I'm just lazy to do it. XD
But I might try to use diff fuel in the next world I created.
@@blueytg6026 Yeah i would also opt for charcoal every day of the week. You would probably need to make a bone meal farm of some sort first, but i think it is worth in the long run.
I really wish there would be some sort of autocrafting. Imagin a "combiner" or smth like that, that enables you to combine 9 (4 in some cases) items to on block automaticly - maybe also make a counterpart that is able to do the opposite. If you ever had a goldfarm you know the struggle of having to craft all the nuggets into igots :D
You are literally the bset youtuber ever. Holy shit. After finally being able to use massive amounts of slimeblocks for my bigger farms, I can only say I'm so glad I found this and didn't build an enitre world eater omg
I love that you are so clear. You show how to do everything and eben write waht you need in the description :D
Just Built this farm. Honestly i only had 2 layers in my last world from one of the bigger farms and that was perfect. Playing by myself i can only build so much so fast so this tiny farm has been just perfect. Thanks! I'm also sure it could be stackable if needed, however i don't see that being necessary. I also like that you don't need to use rails. Great Farm!

Works great in 1.8. One of the few farms I have seen that isn't drastically changed and nerfed by 1.18. Build this in your world instead of the low down, cleared chunk versions
thankss
Will this work in 1.16 too?
for everyone who is wondering, this works as advertised in 1.18. just make sure you follow all of the directions, most importantly building it under an ocean, lighting up nearby caves, and building a proper afk platform.
pls tell me what a 'proper afk platform is' - what y level does the afk have to be in 1.18?
@@westenc the same
is it necessary to build it inside an ocean
@@o-o4577 yes. so no other mobs will spawn except for the room with slimes
Why not just stand in the chunk? Isn't it loaded from bedrock to sky limit?
Works like a charm! Thank you!
I love this simple farms. It's so good :D Thank tou master
Of course I find this after digging out a chunk
well at least you'll get a better farm
@@pigman6954 bruh i dig out whole chunk in ocean completely made the farm ,everything was correct but i didn't even know what is the afk platform y cords and staying on surface still I didn't get any slime then i build this one
Bro, I watched this vid and I still went ahead and got rid of all the water in the ocean and cleared it down to bedrock, even after watching
it really helps to build under an ocean because in 1.18 most caves under an ocean are flooded so it cuts down on spawnproofing
If you don't bother with the afk tower and just stood in the chamber behind the chests, would this still work, just at a slower rate?

Hey LogicalGeekBoy. I would really love if you could make a video on how to install minuhud and some of other these external mods and resources you use. I know it's not necessarily like the type of videos you usually make but I know less techy people like myself would benefit exponentially from that. Love all the series you have going and your content is the best!
Hey man, I can help you out with all that as I just went through it myself. It really isn’t too complicated. You have to install fabric either in MultiMC or normal Minecraft launcher and download the mod. I would start from the fabric website or look up a tutorial on how to install fabric, minihud,or another mod by Masa like Litematica. For questions you can always check out the scicraft discord about the mods or the fabric discord about the installation. If u have any questions u can also ask me or if u want me to help you through installing the mods just reply and I’ll help u out
@@liorschifrin Ok thanks man I will have to look into that. I think My biggest problem was how to have multiple mods at one time running. As far as my understanding goes which I believe is wrong when I open the minecraft launcher I have to pick one from he drop down menu but I can't pick more than one which is what i think I need to do?
@@liorschifrin I'm not 100% sure how but I downloaded minihud and have it in my game. I don't really know how to use it but I can figure that out in a few youtube vids I'm sure. Thank you so much man, this was so helpful. however, I do have a questions. Does this work with optifine because I like to turn the fog off in the nether and I like the zoom key although i believe LogicalGeekBoy has an alternative to that.
Ryan Roese I think that it can work with optifine, but you would need optifabric and I think you can find more information online or on a discord server I mentioned. I don’t use optifiine anymore, I use sodium lithium and phosphorus for performance, logical’s zoom, and another mod for no fog. I think most people don’t use optifine with fabric but it’s up to you
@@liorschifrin Ya from what I've found there's quite a few equal or better alternatives to optifines features so I've just been downloading each one. Thanks again this is something I've been trying to figure out for an embarrassing amount of time.
i make this near my base, all i do to prevent decreased slime spawn is turn on subtitle and search nearby dungeon and kill all mobs and close the dungeon with ton of cobblestone so no space for mobs (including slime) to spawn there (thanks to your explanation). this works like magic! the easiest slime farm! subscribed!
Thanks for an actual good tutorial mate, other youtubers be making tutorials not knowing what a dimension even is
The head in the intro was terrifying!
Love the series! Does the iron golem ever take damage in this design? I can see occasionally that the slimes get close enough that he is able to attack them.
The iron golems have more reach than slimes, so shouldn't be much of an issue
no but place more torches, since in logic's torch placement, some areas have a light level of 6 (which allows skeletons to possibly spawn and shoot the golem) You can just add a few more random torches to make sure it is bright.
@@hoodystriker101 1.18 changed spawning light level needs. Has to be 0 light now.
@@dweezildweezil2894 really? I was playing in 1.17.1 at the time and I've heard in 1.18 they can still spawn regardless of that change
@@dweezildweezil2894 I am currently playing 1.18 though and I do know the basic spawning requirements for most mobs
Thank you! This works so well

Note that when finding slime chunks with MiniHUD, you either must be on a singleplayer world, on a multiplayer server running MiniHUD serverside, or otherwise manually input the server's seed for MiniHUD to use. If you do not have the seed to the multiplayer server or they are not running the mod, you will not be able to see slime chunks
oh, well that sucks
Its very easy to get the seed of any multiplayer/singleplayer world tho :P

@@joejoemyo Well then use a mod for it.
omg in the title i read "(no bacon required)" and i was wondering what you were talking about lmao.
It was beacon actually not bacon
I built this in Java 1.20.1 on a realm, and it works great!! The output is amazing, I got over a stack in just the time it took me to build the afk platform. A few things:
1) if you’re building in the ocean, make sure you’re at least 8 chunks away from land in all directions! That’ll make sure it’s out of the 128 block radius
2) the trapdoors on the ceiling didn’t work to keep in the iron golem, so I ended up surrounding him in 1 layer of slabs on the ceiling, which kept him inside.
I'm on Bedrock Ed (latest version) and I didn't even test run this on creative. I could've wasted so much time but I still took the risk and wow it's surprisingly working well! Thanks.
Anyone having a problem with the golem being destroyed, just put glass under him instead of the trapdoors, and around him as well 1 block high only.
Hey Logic, since you made a slime farm, time to make a honey farm.
It’s not much of a video. A small honey farm needs only like 10 blocks to build
Thank you so much :) Works really well.
Thank you man you made my minecraft world way better and my gameplay a lot more smooth.

Logic can you make a tutorial for the Inter-Dimensional Piglin Bartering
that isn't very hard, actually
I made a tutorial on it check it out
EDIT: nevermind, the light level doesn't matter in slime chunks.
Note that on 1.18, the slime spawning logic changed to light levels < 7, so the torches will light up too much area. The easy fix is to replace the torches with glow lichen (light level 7).
THANK YOU!!
what about the light that the fire gives off, is it an issue?
That's wrong. Nobody listen to him. The slime Spa mechanic is the same for slime chunks. In swamp it IS NEEDED to be
Thanks mate

The headache I had to go through when trying to find slime chunks with MiniHUD overlays, that just would not work... Until I learned that overlays do not work on servers. 🤦
OH, why don't they. i was wondering why mine weren't working
