I surely wished that u were still doing videos, there are more Chuukese people here in southern Iowa at my work, and I enjoy speaking with them with what I have learned from ur videos, thank you
Fun fact: "sensei" is borrowed from the Japanese. It's the word for teacher. And just a suggestion, you should make videos of how things are where you are at, for your Chuukese subscribers. An interesting angle is how you are from two different worlds, and how it affects how you perceive life. Also if you haven't been to Chuuk you should definitely vist. I was there for four years, and the experience was awesome. If you are interested, I have contacts that could accommodate you. Keep up the good work Julia.
Thank you, I love this feedback. I’ve mentioned some of what it’s like growing up without being able to speak Chuukese in some videos. It’s definitely something that others may share. I really appreciate your feedback on visiting as well. I’ve only been once one summer break before eighth grade. Now that I have children of my own I’ve thought about whether to take them. Definitely something to consider but I’d like them to learn the language now so they can actually get to know our family there.👍

Very cool! It’s a beautiful language. That’s admirable that you are learning to speak her language 👍
