Chuukese Me Please
США
Добавлен 13 сен 2018
I'm a second generation Pacific Islander. I'm learning to speak Chuukese and would love for you to learn with me. Chuukese is important to me because I want to connect with my father's side of the family and language is a barrier I want to dominate! English is my fist language and Spanish is my second so this exotic language will be my third. Chuukese is spoken in Chuuk islands. Chuuk is one state of 4 which make up the Federated States of Micronesia. This channel is for 3 types of people: 1. People who have never heard of the language and want to learn an exotic islander language, 2. People like me, who are descendants who want to connect to their culture and family, and 3. Native Chuukese speakers who want to help us in the process. I'm excited to build this community with you, let's learn Chuukese!
Paapa-double vowel pronunciation
Here’s how you say father in Chuukese and how it’s spelled. After recording, I realized another easy example of the double vowel sound is Maama. Again, you just draw out the a sound. Hope this is helpful. Take care!

I see you have improved quite a bit since the last time I messaged you! Are you no longer doing videos to teach Chuukese? Sadly, there is STILL no videos available on RUclips (or any other platform) that goes over Chuukese pronunciation in-depth. You hinted at it a bit when you mentioned the spelling variations on "Kirisou" / "Kinisou", but there is so much more to be explained. If you consider yourself comfortable in the language now, I really wish you could go over the pronunciation completely in a series of videos. Something to consider. Kirisou chappur!
1. have you been to chuuk ? 2. did you stop traffic ? U R SO BEAUTIFUL !! what's your name, ANGEL?
