I love this movie so much❤❤!!I watch it a long time ago!
Hi! I have a movie suggestion, its matilda the musical. Basically a remake if matilda (if you watched it.) Its on netflix!
Please also react to Antz (1998), The Ant Bully (2006), and Strange Magic (2015).. please.. thank you :)
ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES
Every time she says that line about a family leaving their declawed cat behind, I just choke up :(
The fact she’s not only abandoned but defenceless (if you don’t count her fangs). All those claw threats she made to the pigeons to get food out of them were just bluffs when in reality she probably couldn’t catch them.
@@robbieking4070 yes, and without claws, she couldn't hunt mice or rats to feed herself, either. She bullied the birds as her only means of getting enough food to keep herself alive. That's why she was ready to stop and stay in Las Vegas, that place with the overflowing dumpsters full of food discarded from Las Vegas' plentiful buffets would've looked like paradise to her.
Definitely one of Disney's most underrated classics.
Fr
Brother Bear is even more underrated imo
Facts this will always be one of my favorite old Disney movie
Very true it used to be my favorite movie
Yes!! One of my favorite Disney classics ❤😊🎉
I absolutely loved seeing Bolt when it came out in 2008! At a young age, I instantly understood that this movie teaches the viewer about how far one would go to save-or find their way back to-a loved one. The icing on this lesson cake is the fact that a dog-a human’s best friend-would do the exact same thing for a loved one.
I currently have my first dog but have had more cats- stray and house. I love my dog! But my theory about it is a dog is going to more or less love a human automatically. With a cat, you have to earn their attention and loyalty. You have to work at this bond of trust and it's just SO rewarding.
A couple Easter egg/references I notice that no one seems to pick up: Penny is named after Penny from Inspector Gadget whom had a dog sidekick. And the Bolt TV show they're making has always made me think of the super hero dog show that the Dalmatians watch in 101 Dalmatians franchise
One of my absolute favorite Easter eggs in this movie is when Rhino runs off humming,"Larack, Turot!" or something to that effect. He's chanting the same thing the Thermian aliens in Galaxy Quest did, to gain strength in their task. ** MAJOR SPOILER ALERT if you've never seen Galaxy Quest before, and don't want that awesome movie ruined for you, don't read the rest of this comment!** And the Thermians were only chanting that because they admired (worshipped) Dr. Lazarus in the "Historical Records" they watched from space, then eventually came to Earth to look for their noble heroes to help them with their problem. The joke is that Rhino worshipped Bolt and believed his TV show was real, just as the Thermians believed the classic sci-fi TV series Galaxy Quest was real, and they had put the fate of all that remained of their species in asking the washed-up Galaxy Quest actors to come with them into space to negotiate a peace treaty with their violent enemies.
@@ReneandMae Wow, I always wondered what Rhino was humming when they were going to the train bridge. That is incredibly subtle but so cool, thank you for sharing that. Just when you think you've watched it enough times to catch everything, there's always something there to surprise me!
@@theJF7 Thank you. I just love it when I discover something new by reading comments from people who share nuggets of information on these movie reaction videos. I just learned something new about one of my favorite Miyazaki movies yesterday through this method. I've watched "Howl's Moving Castle" so many times, and had never picked up on the revelation a fellow fan shared in the comments on the video I saw, and it just blew my mind. Sharing info and experiences through these reaction videos has become so much fun, and in a way, it helps us all to be able to connect with other fans out there, albeit briefly, I think.
@@ReneandMae I agree, it's fun indeed getting to learn new things about our favorite movies, especially after many years.
And oh man, Howl's Moving Castle. What a great movie! I need to watch that one again myself soon.
29:46 - 29:51 evil laugh of Rhino 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
In the name of underrated movies, I just have to recommend The Black Cauldron, a forgotten 80s classic and important milestone in Disney history.
Man, I haven’t seen this film in so long!
2008! few years back
Bolt is my favorite Disney Animation Studio CG animated movie.
You seem to have a strange idea on what to do in a fire. People have to get out fast and yes, people may get accidentally missed, especially when the fire is spreading quickly. But if you stay too long then there will just be multiple people trapped. And it's not that no one wanted to go get her after they realised she wasn't there, you can't just go into a burning building. Even the firemen would hesitate because it's extremely dangerous and the door was blocked. Not only is there the heat and smoke (which firemen should have a certain amount of protection for) but things will collapse on people and there's no visibility. There's only so much that can be done when everything is burning.
I've already noticed that chopper in the studio
great movie
I just realised that the animation reminds me of the Tinker Bell films at times lol 6:12 15:22 21:04
Would be cool to see Tim react to those films someday
this movie makes me cry to this day
Ya know I wish this movie had been made so Bolt really was a superdog for real. Penny and Bolt could've been like Jonny Quest and Bandit going on action and adventure situations helping the scientist father out and Bolt could actually speak to Penny too.
"Gargoyles: the awakening" - Disney's dark and in a way, pretty grown up animate movie with original plot (that turned into a tv show with spin offs). Consider reacting!
This and Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron were my childhood movies. I remember I watched the movie so much that I had the disk so I could watch it in the car. My despair when I accidentally broke the disk by sitting on it was immense. ;-;
Also I love both cats and dogs, though I personally dogs are better if you want a more loving pet (not that cats can't be loving.)
If you want to watch some of the classic Disney animation movies I’d suggest some of the movies from the 30s to the early 2000s, like the princess movies, sword in the stone, winnie the pooh, Atlantis, Treasure Planet, etc.
If there's any wrestling fan in here... Thug was voiced by Macho Man Randy Savage.
I really liked this movie as a kid but i never heard people talk about it either
Bolt is sadly underrated, but the movie has a profound message: the things you initially believed in may not be as what it seems. Bolt's journey from "finding Penny" became a journey of finding himself, and when he did achieve his latter goal, he had a mindset saying: "If you (Penny) should fall into Hell, I'll fall into Hell with you." 🫡
I know it's ridiculous, but I honestly would have loved if the fake movie was actually the real one :D
Less heartwarming, but super badass.
Cats or dogs?
Why not both? I can't see my terrier-schnauzzer without my marble tabby. My dog would never be the same if his feline sister disappeared. And my cat would be up the wall without her canine brother.
A pretty average Disney movie, which is Buzz LIghtyear but instead with a Dog, but it not that bad, I give it a 7/10.
Funny movie 😂❤
I’m both
I think bolt needs more attention
Hi
hello martin
I watched Bolt for the first time when I was a kid and I really loved it. Not a lot of people seem to remember it, though. I ended up really loving the characters. Especially Rhino the hamster. I also like the human character named Penny. The plot may be a little similar to Toy Story, where Bolt believes that he's a super dog and ends up accepting it later on when he finds out. But this is still a great and adorable film.
Me too
Same
I remember watching this movie when I was three and loving it ever since
I always thought the movie was really good and underrated I really hate it doesn’t get the same recognition as something like 2013s frozen I think bolt is way better and also paved the way for frozen
It also reminded me of The Truman Show
The part that always gets me is when Mittens is telling Bolt that her owners didn't want her. The heartbreak.
And the fact that they declawed her
She even strongly implies that she got declawed so she has literally no way to defend herself.😢
I remember seeing bolt in theaters when I was a kid and being obsessed with the film, getting a penny cosplay, completing the video game twice, having all the merchandise, and someday I’ll get a cat named mittens and a White German Shepard named bolt. Sorry, not into hamsters. This movie still makes me tear up in certain places even as an adult. Mittens backstory is so sad and will break any animal lovers heart. I wish more people watched this amazing movie.
I saw bolt In theaters as well .
OMG you were so lucky I would want or give anything to see this movie in theaters. It came out the year. I was born and I really wanted to see it.
43:28 when they recast an actor and put something as absurd as aliens into the plot you know there are problems in the show
They even have a name for it in Hollywood-speak. It's referred to as "jumping the shark", which is a reference to the episode in the classic TV comedy series "Happy Days" when the cast visited California from Milwaukee, and the most iconic character from the show, Fonzie literally jumped a shark on water skis, still wearing his famous black leather jacket. It's shorthand for "this TV show has run out of good plot ideas", or "this show is on its way out".
I don’t think it’s necessarily always a bad thing……it’s not often a good thing, but for the type of show Bolt seems to be in-universe (being explicitly called out as predictable) it seems like the kind of show where the audience can just turn off their brains.
That being said, even in this universe, the alien thing would need to be handled well after the reveal to land…but maybe I’m just biased because I’ve stuck with a few shows with dips in quality
Is it just me, or I’m I the only person who gets emotional when Bolt goes in the building to save Penny and she tells him he’s her good boy and loves him.
This movie is so underrated. A lot of people I know have completely forgot this movie exists. I grew up watching this movie and I still love it today
I haven't seen this movie in 11 years and now it just brought back so many memories
This movie is a fantastically, well told story. It is, surprisingly, dark for a Disney film, as the main theme seems to be, animal and child actor abuse. What they did to Bolt was cruel. They made him think his Penny was in genuine danger all the time and that he cannot trust anyone. That is a great way to get an animal to attack people he thinks are a threat to those they bonded to.
As for the fire scene. It isn't that nobody thought about her, but in a studio like that, the actors and crew, probably, all have an evacuation plan in case of a fire. Their job is to get out as fast as they can. Help someone if you can, but don't do so if it will endanger you too much. When the firefighters arrive, they need to know who is still inside and who is not, and the fewer people they need to rescue, the better chances of survival they have. There is usually a safety officer, whose job it is to do a head count outside to see who is missing, it is not to go back in for someone. And that fire went out of control so fast that trying to go in would just get people killed, unless they had the necessary protection.
The scene where Bolt and Penny are reunited in the fire gets me everytime. The music they used just drove it home.
Dude, you made your comment as unnecessarily dramatic as possible. 😶 /sarcasm
Bolt has to be one of my favorite movie, great reaction Tim.
Thanks!
It's my favourite movie too
That line where Mittens says they leave her wondering what she did wrong absolutely kills me. I had two cats Gentleman and Mama Kitty. We had to move, but we gave our cats to my uncle so he could watch over them and we could come play. Mom never took us back. I never saw my cats again and when I hear that line I can't help but think that Gentleman and Mama Kitty felt that way about us. It's heartbreaking.
I’m so sorry to hear that, but I’m sure they didn’t forget you and waited for you every day😢😢😢😢 I couldn’t imagine not being able to see my pets that I love so much. I have 8 dogs and I really love cats too.
for the firemen scene.. itc a giant building she could have been anywhere so going in there looking inch by inch in a possibly collapsing building would kill them. so bolt barking through the air ducts helped them find penny and bolt
The "turn then pull" while the bird is explaining it is my fav part of the movie 🤣🤣🤣
This is one of my favorite childhood movies! I'm so glad you watched it!
I've had both cats and dogs over the years. I was pretty young so I mostly remember the cats through the pictures we took of them. I guess I'm more of a dog person these days but I still love cats just the same. And what cats I've met, they've seemed to love me back. Some of our relatives have a cat, and when she was still quite little, she wouldn't leave my lap when we went for a visit. She'd just jump up and fall asleep right there. Cats and dogs.. to me they're both really great.
John Travolta voices Bolt and Miley Cyrus voices Penny. I really like the song Barking at the moon. Great movie ❤️
The firemen wouldn't know exactly where to look at first. There are things called muster points where people are suppose to go so they can figure out if anyone is missing.
This film is really special, but the scene where Bolt see’s the fake Bolt I still remember as a kid seeing this scene and feeling deep sadness inside me as a kid.
It is amazing, but very much slept on unfortunately
I recommend you Balto (1995).
I second that.
heard about it before, might do it at some point!
One of Disney's forgotten gems is most certainly 'Oliver and Company' it was my favourite movie growing up and although the animation isn't anything like it is today, I still highly recommend the film. I doubt a ton of people will recommend it, but it's truly underrated and I'd love to see a reaction to it on your channel someday☺️
Why Should I Worry is still on my playlists to this day. That was one of my fav movies as a kid, whenever it came on Disney Channel I'd always watch it, as well as the vhs I recorded which got rather stretched out after awhile 😹
Out of all the non-Pixar CGI-animated Disney feature films of the second half of the 2000s, Bolt was definitely one of the better ones released.
Also, for other good but underappreciated Disney animated feature films of the 2000s, you should also check out Fantasia 2000 (though you may have to watch the original Fantasia first), Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Treasure Planet, and Brother Bear.
This was the first Disney movie I ever watched as a kid in theaters and I enjoyed it although the fact that Miley Cyrus is in this and she only does one song on the soundtrack is criminal why did Disney not use her potential oh right they never did all jokes aside this is great
What’s even more shameful is Miley Cyrus was nominated for a Golden Globe for that one song of hers here, yet she didn’t win. 🤷♂️
Me too.
Underrated Disney movies? I would say Atlantis, Treasure planet, Emperor's new groove 1 and 2 and I think that's it. Also great movie reaction, I've never listened to the song in english and it's beautiful it always makes me cry 🥺❤️
Don't forget Brother Bear.
@@chisomololo8406 you're right! Brother Bear is beautiful ❤️
@@lluviadejunio3857 It did not deserve the score it got on Rotten Tomatoes.
The first year I was working in The Disney Store this film came out in theaters and I was in shock, it looked like my dog. My dog was a white German Shepherd mix so she was a bit shorter and had some orange down hear back but all the neighborhood kids called her "Bolt". I collected the stuffed animals and what merch I could. We even moved from one state to another when I was a kid so the travel montage really hits home for me. She was my best friend and I would have done anything for her.
Fun fact: Byron Howard, one of the two directors of Blot, also directed Zootopia and he also animated Kenai (as a bear) from Brother Bear
I always wanted a series where they did in fact end up getting superpowers, all of them in fact! Well, the trio(I just like superheroes). And this time, it'd be Bolt keeping Penny from finding out the truth. It probably wouldn't be canon, but I just wanted more of these characters!
I was drawn in by the superpowers, but stayed for the story of trying to find your way back home. Fitting that Miley Cyrus had a starring role then XD Home could be a place, a person, or a feeling that you're welcome, accepted and loved. And I'm happy this gang found all three of those
I would like a Bolt animated series that would be about Bolt, Mittens, and Rhino going on adventures but Penny wouldn’t know it
First saw this movie when I was seven and only cried at the end
Then I watched it again a couple of months after my first dog died and cried at almost every major point
Great reaction dude
That agent is so annoying for the last time
43:01 Me: Get out!
Penny's Mom: We quit!
Me: You tell him. And I felt much better now
The Bolt and Penny Show Looks Like It Was Produced by Michael Bay and Directed by Robert Rodríguez only they could do something like that. The truth is so ridiculous that I want to see it.
Hiro Hamada: Wow, I can't believe Penny Forrester has a dog named Bolt and actor of Superhero dog, that awesome!!
Baymax: Indeed Hiro.
Dashiell Robert Parr aka Dash: This dog got super powers?!? Wicked cool!
Helen Parr aka Elasticgirl: Bob, did you seeing this dog?!
Bob Parr aka Mr. Incredible: No but that's interesting.
Violet Parr: The dog is not super dog.
Dashiell Robert Parr aka Dash: Yes he is.
Helen Parr aka Elasticgirl: Alright you two, stop fighting each other. It's supposed to be family night movie.
Jack-Jack Parr: *giggles happily*
This movie always makes me cry but I can't stop watching it!
Bolt is one of my favorites
Bolt has always been my favorite childhood movie and no matter how old I get I never stop loving it ❤️
This is another movie I remember having on DVD and I can clearly tell John Travolta was playing Bolt. But, when I was a kid I didn’t even put together Miley Cyrus voiced Penny. 😅 (Also, the boom mic scene might be my favorite part of the movie)
I really like this film!!! And I also love the fact that on the Latinamerican Spanish dub (I'm from South America, so I grew up with this dub) the pigeons have argentinian accent lol, it's just too funny (I'm from Argentina) and just like I said before, this movie is actually great!!!
What did you guys think of this movie?
I think it's an Amazing and a funny sweet and cute disney animated movie with some fantastic voice over work🎥🎬👌
I hope you enjoyed the film!
Yes i did!
@@TimotheeReacts I’m glad
I loved this movie so so so much. I did watch it a few months ago on someone else's RUclips channel reacting to it but still makes me cry every damn time!!
This is how movies are supposed to be made for kids!!
Absolutely ridonkulus!! ❤
This was another of the Disney mid to late-2000s animated movies that I missed, but with the magic of Disney +, I decided to watch it and...I thoroughly enjoyed it. Its probably the best of the mid-late 2000s Disney animated movies, in my opinion. I've had both cats and dogs and I do love them both, but if I had to choose one, I'd go for cats. I get why they're always on the 'bad guys' side in movies (cause it is funny), but it is a really annoying cliche at this point. If you're looking for an underrated animated movie, I would check out Balto. Its not as well remembered, but the plot really packs a punch and its action-packed, just like Bolt haha!
I didn't know this was a Disney movie lol. I remember watching Bolt when I was a kid, back then with my friends, in CDs and DVDs.. One of my favorites, TBH. I was confused on what is going on at first, knowing that he have superpowers at the beginning lol.. Great reaction, Tim.
Sooo nostalgic bro 😭
Bolt is so underrated, it never gets talked about :c I love it
I love Bolt so much❤❤!!Its my favorite ever seen✨!Love your videos💕!hope you have a wonderful day🤍🙌🏻!
The adventures of Tintin the 2011 version is so good and underrated animated movie. I've only ever seen one person react to it.
This movie shows how Loyal dogs can be with their owners, and life with them.
I LOVE watching your reactions Tim✔! keep them coming 👍
Underrated, overlooked, and little-known?
- well… you’ve seen ‘Rise of the Guardians’…
There is ‘Hoodwinked’ - IF you can get past the bad low-budget animation; the script, characters, and voice actor cast are stellar.
Oh! Oh! Oh! And you could check out ‘Vivo’ (Sony Pictures Animation) …you may have heard of Lin Manuel Miranda? -He did the music for Moana and Encanto.
And then, it’s not animation- more like a live-action drama- but I have been trying for ages to get ANY reactor to watch ‘The King’s Speech’. How no one has done that one, I absolutely cannot understand.
I think without this movie I would never lived through quarantine
This movie isn't often talked about, but it's a classic, I had both the movie and mediocre licensed video game as a kid. I feel like it's so obscure because they didn't milk it dry, but it's feels kinda melancholic that one of the most self aware series' quit while it was ahead...
I love this and I’m so glad you reacted to it and enjoyed it as well
I hope you someday check out a fan video called A walt disneh animation Tribute ! Its so amazing you will feel things
This was such a great film lol - definitely an underrated gem.
Ngl, the plot of this film is acc pretty similar to Buzz's journey through the first Toy Story film tbh.
I bet the buzz lightyear ark can easily be forgotten in like the last 30 minutes of the movie.
I remember watching this movie so many times that it scratches the disc. And I remember re-acting the chase scene at the start of the movie where I play as Penny on my scooter in my backyard all the time, good times 😌
Miley Cyrus’ first and only Golden Globe nomination is in this movie for the song “I Thought I Lost You.” I think it’s a crime she didn’t win at the time. I enjoyed that song.
Bolt was my favorite Disney movie when I was small. My parents bought me a dog that looked like him when I was 7 and I named him Bolt.
It has been a (dare I say it) a dogs age since I’ve seen Bolt! It kinda gets overshadowed by the other films that come after it.
Since this movie is part of Disney’s post-Renaissance Era, I’d say Bolt, Princess and the Frog, and Lilo & Stitch were considered the sparks of hope for the studio since many of their animated films throughout the 2000s were pretty much “hit or miss” compared to the films that came post-2009.
definitely brings back memories, really sad :/
You should do a video with Cinebinge sometime! I think you guys would be fun in a reaction together
We did 21 and 22 jump street on both channels, check em out!
@@TimotheeReacts Oh wow I totally forgot that, I think I watched them too! Lol awesome
I’m both a dog and a cat person I love both of them no matter what and I don’t care what anyone says I don’t think they’re enemies. They just don’t get along sometimes but as they get to no one another then they can get along. I grow up. I want to get both the dog a jack Russell terrier, a ginger cat and I hope they’ll get along❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🐶🐱🐶🐱🐶🐱🐶🐱
Oh! I love this movie! Thanks for reacting! I wish I recommended this to you so you could have seen it earlier! It's a great movie.
I'd love to see you react to Flipped from 2010 and directed by rob Reiner, based in the novel of the same name
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse is highly recommended as a movie reaction 😎
YAAAASSSS!
Underrated, forgotten, I could name several , but here's a couple The adventures of Ford Fairlane ( 1990)
The pirate movie (1982)
I do love this movie a lot and it does seem to be almost completely overlooked. It's super cute and pretty hilarious. Another great underrated classic is THE GREAT MOUSE DETECTIVE. definitely reccomend
I remember the first time I saw Bolt I enjoyed it one of those forgotten Disney movies I thought it would be like the beginning of the movie but when everything was a filming it was somewhat confusing at the beginning and the end with the Aliens also Penny's Recast I think they canceled the show after that although I was left wanting to see what happened with the other Penny and the other Bolt.
Love this movie 😊
Day 19 of me requesting a reaction to My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
This is a good movie. I don't really know what else to say.

This movie is very underrated.
very underrated!
I HAVE BOTH Cats and a Dog. But I love dogs a little bit more than cats. But I can't live without my cats either.
I really like this movie not only for the plot but also the special message it has inside of it too 😊 it’s shame that has become forgotten and not many people have heard about it but I hope that people have seen your reaction and know it’s a great movie funnily enough my friends named their dog Bolt after this movie 😄 but I’m glad you watched it and like it 😉😃😃
Preference cats, but both are awesome. We had both growing up through my childhood. Now just 2 cats, and 2 birds.
I loved Bolt so much growing up I bought the Bolt Xbox 360 game. It was surprisingly high quality for the game era. It had days. DAYS of content. With challenging parts and cool action.
It probably only runs on Legacy consoles but if anyone ever gets the chance to play it, highly recommend. 10/10.
