I'm fixing the hood on an 87 4Runner and this helped to get that job done thank you again
Awesome! I love to hear when my videos are helpful! Thank you!
Your videos are always super informative! Thanks!
Thank you! I appreciate that! I really try to cover everything and be detailed. I know how it is when you need detailed instructions for installs, and some products these days don't include detailed instructions, so you basically have to turn to the internet to figure things out. I'm trying to be that help, and share whatever knowledge I know :)
Attention to detail. I love it.
Great quality video, in depth through each step and engaging.
Thank you! I appreciate that!
Good info, quick installation and detailed, thank you, keep it up.
Thank you!
Great job you two! I’ve yet to complete my CRX. Now that I’ve been reminded people from U.S.V.I. are still heavy in car culture, this definitely spurs me on to complete it. Hail up from STT via UAE!
Thank you! Hail up lol! Yea there are people from the USVI out here doing it big, still lol. Good luck when you decide to finish up the CRX!
is it done yet im working on my crx currently and did a whole bay paint job and motor swap
@@dabgoddess3232 Yes, it is complete. It is never done though. Good luck with your CRX. I hope you can finish and enjoy it as I do mine. Keep going. It's worth it.
I admire your knowledge and i love hondas they say im to old but i just love these cars congrats

That orange 🍊 Honda woooooo beautiful
Thank you!
Omg!!! I’m losing my mind right now!!! I always look for cool car vloggers and I always have different pop since follow som many. This video popped up and I saw that it was a woman. So I thought this is dope I want to check it out. I’m watching this thing and within 2 minutes I hear this accent and I’m like. These people sound cruzan or Thomian. I read some comments and saw someone commenting on USVI and I’m from St. Croix USVI. So this was all unexpected to me. I’m filling this for sure. And she’s freaking beautiful as well. Dope stuff man!
LMAO!! Small world mehnn!!
Just bought a set of these, and will install them soon..........
Honestly nobody can explain like you do i subscribed to you

This was / hell , is the best install vid. I've seen. You both did a great job . Thank you.
One thing tho if I may suggest, Lose the red arrow stickers. The latches look great on that Honda. Now off to do this on a Nis.350 convert. with carbon fiber hood. Have a Great day.
Thank you! I appreciate that. I will tell my boyfriend what you say about the stickers lol. Good luck with your build! Thanks for watching!
Really cool video!

LOL! Thank you!
I have a 2000 Civic with old-style (and just plain-old OLD [rusty], too!) hood latch pins, on account of an intercooler that mounted up so high that there's no room for the factory latch across the center of the grille support. This would be perfect for it.
very good video great job only 2 things id suggest which are important touch up edges you cut with paint cause it will rust and those rubber grommets you removed for the pins are actually adjusters so the hood lines up with the fenders and keeps it from rubbing the head lights grill and upper rad support drill new holes for the pins great video tho top notch
Thank you! I appreciate your suggestions.. We didn't have the touch up paint yet, Sean has to get the touch up paint for his color mixed, then he'll paint the edges. And I do know that the grommets are the adjusters, but the strike is adjustable up and down so the hood height can still be manipulated to line up with the fender height. Also, the hood latches come with bump stops that go over the strike, so that could be another option of keeping the hood from going down and getting too close to the headlights, grill, and upper rad support.
@@Aisha_LadyBuilt you can also just make a new hole for the stock bump stop/adjuster. Or make a custom bump stop out of the right thickness rubber (doughnut)...
A little locktight on the bolts (top and bottom) helps keep everything good.
Yes FINALLY somebody said the thing that needs to be said. All these “quick install” guides on youtube completely ignore any car enthusiast’s biggest nightmare: RUST. Whatever you cut or drill, touch it up with something, rustoleum or similar stuff is fine. But do SOMETHING 👍🏼
Great video thank you!
Thank you for watching!
always really cool
Thank you!
You guys welded up all the holes but I used the closer to the stock latch and it made for a cleaner install because I only have two round holes from the bottom of the hood .I was able to slip that bottom plate in from the top .
The OEM hood latch holes were not filled. Sean just chose to use this style of hood latch over the OEM latch.
🎉 looks good great job !!! He needs a type r grille!!
Great work.
Thank you!
clean install..!!
Thank you!
Yes it was helpful now do mine!😁
😂😂 Happy to hear it was helpful!
awesome video
Thank you!
Nice editing skills
Beautiful Girl what a lucky guy sean is
Thank you! Lol!
Great content
Thank you!
Perhaps a crisscross tightening pattern may be best to not flex the hood at all? Also what about weather sealing around the hoodlatches?
Good job
yo those same latches zosh has and bruh that civic clean asf
Thank you! yea Zosh has them too.
yw loool and ik i notice they was the same on first glimpse loool yo i cant wait hook up my dad ek💪
great work. great color choice on that Honda as well.. so far this was the most detailed instructions on how to..
keep up the good work!!😎👊👍
question:
at 5:58 where you mark the lines, is the hole above that line? or should it be exactly where the lines cross each other?
Thank you! The top of the strike/pin should be exactly where the lines cross.
Dope clean car
Thank you!
You go girl. 💯🙏🏼❤️😊
😬 Thank you
Switching mine next month, I use just cotter pins currently and I’m just getting way to much play.
Nice one
I love the video, how many sets of these have you installed?? You didn’t seem to be winging it. Lol haha pinky outttttt
I was thinking. Instead of cutting all the way through the bottom of the hood, it could have been possible to have just the striker come through the bottom and for the entire assembly via the top hole since the chassis has fitted holes for the nuts. Probably would have had a harder time but it would have had less cutting and looked cleaner from the bottom side. But maybe that’s all in my mind.
Thats a sick ass color on that honda
Thank you
great...
Thank you
Heyyyyyyyyyy ur amazing. Love your work. Where yuh from originally? Trinidad & Tobago in the houseeeeeeeeee 🇹🇹#T&T #trinitodbone🔥🔥🔥🇹🇹

Thank you!
This vid is so thorough thank you for this lol! and btw what's the instrumental you used at @10:32?
Thank you! I try my best to be informative to help others. I honestly don't even know what the song is lol
Great how-to...
Thank you!
this might be an old vid but I appreciate your detail Sis!! If you were putting this on one with the OEM latch already on would you remove the OEM and replace with these?
Thank you for watching! You could do either, but I would probably go with taking out the OEM so that it doesn't bind up when you're trying to close the hood.
Lol nice video my Vi ppl😂😂
Thank you! LOL 🤣😂
Good job on the install you kept your nice paint job from any mishaps is that your husband he seems nice
Thank you!
2 ayo crazy mehson....✌I 💪
talibaa4life 😂😂💪💪
FYI you should have sprayed it to prevent rust. other than that, great job!
Possibly could have used gasket maker along the seam also to hold back water.. but the reason is, when it rains the surface tension of the water will pool up around those bare metal areas and eventually cause rust. depending on where you live and how humid it is will determine how long it takes.
Thank you for your suggestion. Sean is getting touch up paint to paint the edges.
se her face when he said you start it with you hand,my brother fuckin woot
lmao!
First video watched from you ever and I just knew this woman was from the Carribean lol then I heard the accent..😅

Hey i know this dont relate to this video but i was wondering if u know of anyone that can fab up a itb for a d17a2 01 honda civic sohc vtec? *Plz help*
do you delete the original hood latch ?
Hi, once you installed the aftermarket latches, do you need to remove the stock ones or can the stay on? will they interfere? thanks
I would remove the stock latch so it doesn't interfere like you say. Thank you, and good luck installing!
I can't believe I have to do this to my 1000 dollar carbon hood. Scary as hell
You amazing
Thank you!
I wish my girl help me like that. lol
Those stickers though! Lmao! 🤦🏻♂️
Whats the color on the green car?
That bungee cord idea wasn’t a bad idea 🤔
LMAO!!!! It worked lol
Make sure to give us an update when it comes flying off. Nice build tho
Why would it come flying off?
they are actually called "strike pins"
What's the paint code for that green?
Where are those mirrors from?
I am really not looking forward to putting holes in my 1300 dollar Siebon hood nut I have a set of genuine areo catch latches I must put in. One chance! I better get it right!
I like you car
dont forget to paint to prevent rust!
Thank you!
✊✊ what color is that? Thats the color i want on my dc5
So can we get a video of you or Sean purely driving?
I'll keep that in mind the next time we're driving somewhere :)
i have a question....
why not get a hood latch instead of cutting the hood?
That is the look that Sean wanted.
Hood latches on a stock metal hood? Why not just put the stock latch back on? 🤔
The hood latch and cable were removed in prep to paint the car, and Sean decided to use this type of hood latch instead of the stock hood latch. This type of hood latch is universal for any type of hood.
nitrous07me because FUCKING RACECAR bro
@@TomorrowsWoodworks
and so? what's the difference between this and the oem latch? will this latch make the car faster?
@@gomezea2 doesn't make a racecar go faster either.. so what's your point?
He wanted something different, on a minimal stock design.
@@gomezea2 In a world of Antonios...be a Sean. That's why. Because he can.
Are these show cars or daily's?
Our cars are street, race, show cars lol. We daily them sometimes. I just don't like driving mine as a daily because I'm afraid of people hitting into me. I was rear ended in my daily (RDX) a few years ago, and I would have been livid if it were my orange car!
lol great stuff but why did you include that clip of you getting gapped in your honda at the end by the dodge lol :)
LOL Thank you! Which Dodge are you talking about? I have no shame in showing loses :)
Aisha Lady Built Garage maybe it’s not a dodge looks like a challenger or charger in your intro lol and I feel that. You show the real shit no sugar coating everything and only showing the wins
Whats the name of the instrumental at 10:30
My Trini 6 sense detects a Caribbean accent, where you from Aisha?
"Skunt" give it away. Guyana 🇬🇾
LOL, the US Virgin Islands
Hey I have a 1998 ex coupe and the engine is shot where do I start
Depends on what you are wanting. Are you trying to rebuild the engine? Do you want to upgrade? Are you looking to just have a car running, or are you looking for performance? Lots of options, but you have to figure out what you want to do with the car.
What I want to do with the car is basically build it from ground up the engine is shot so it’s not running but I want a little performance not so much u know I was wondering what kind of engine should I get for the 1998 ex coupe
Now it depends on how much money your wanting to spend. The possibilities are endless, but budget plays a big role.
That won’t be an issue i know imma spend a couple grand on it I just wanna know what engine would you recommend on this build like i want performance but not that much to where it’s like I’m trying to be ina race track
I really like his hood rope.. cops can't pop his hood open
LMAO!!!
Where are you from ?
:D
Velocityshop? Is that located in Florida? If so is there guy name Thomas that works or related to the shop owner? 😁
Yes VelocityShop is in Florida, but no the guy's name isn't Thomas, maybe you're confusing it with another place.
