    For cleaner holes with a hole saw in materials like carbon fiber or plastic, try drilling slowly in reverse instead of forward. It has always given me a cleaner cut since hole saws can be very aggressive and leave a lot of burrs.

    • @4BangersProduction
      @4BangersProduction  4 года назад +5

      I will give that a try! I know forward can be a bit rough and pull the carbon pieces everywhere

  • @nitrous07me
    @nitrous07me 4 года назад +11

    That looks great, my experience is that the hood will be more prone to split & crack around the hood pins, I wish I could’ve re-Inforced the inside of the hood with some fiberglass around where I drilled the holes. That’s just my two cents

    • @4BangersProduction
      @4BangersProduction  4 года назад +4

      Haha dude it was a tuff one but I'm glad the hood lines up better than having the original hood latch. Carbon fiber sometimes doesn't line up right so with adjustable hood pins I sat mines lower on one side and adjusted the other to line the hood up better. PLUS the safety of having two latches vs an old 1994 latch. Don't get me wrong you can still run all 3.

    bought these for my G35 some quick advice I would recommend is to once in awhile remove them to clean them and add some PB Blaster to lube them, one of my pin has minor rust due to rain car washes etc I had no problem with it but I noticed when it would lock it would not click and the release button would not sit flush at the top bc the rust would stop it from completely pushing up but 100% recommend they’re easier to install than aero latches and they look much better.

      @@user-hh4hc2lt6e with the key ones right? I don’t. My hood still latches on the oem latch, then I close it off with the pins. But now that you say this I’m thinking of removing the oem latch and just using the hood pins.
