5:26 I was taught to use a bit of rubber grease on the inside of the sway bar bushings.
This video was the clearest explanation I've ever seen, especially the rationale for the order of istalling the bolts, the role of the spacer and backing plate, the interaction with the sway bar, etc.
This is the most detailed video on this I've seen so far, thanks!
Stumbled upon this channel searching for ideas for my hatch build. I've been around the car scene many years and this is probably one of the best DIY videos I've seen in a while. Amazing! Thank you.
Thank you! I appreciate it!
This is a perfect guide of what im currently doing. Thanks! subbed ^^
That's awesome! Thank you for watching and subscribing! Good luck!

The ppl who disliked this video are jealous because a female built a better car then them LMFAO. I always look forward to your videos keep up the good work.
LMAO! Thank you! I appreciate it!
All time. Fav honda girl
It’s been a minute but glad you dropped another video. I’m working on my teg as well but I’m putting that jdm front end on it. As for sway bars I have the asr rear sway bar.
In video you should mentioned to put the car in gear for lifting from the rear. It’ll prevent it from rolling.
Yea, it has been a minute lol.. Nothing is wrong with the ASR stuff, I just am a big fan of Hardrace. You're right, putting the car in gear will prevent it from rolling, I didn't think of that at the time I was editing the video lol.
Nice video like you style I got ek I'm building I'm like looking at videos for good ideas you videos is a big help keep them coming
Thank you for the video now I'm gonna make some orders for my car from your help thank you.
Thank you! I appreciate it! Good luck with your car!
Wow what an amazing beauty!!!

Nice work! Looks sick
Thank you!
Great detailed video!!! Thanks!!!
Thank you!
I noticed you did not have a muffler did you take the muffler off for this setup did the sway bar get in the way?
To all you guys that complain about being too weak to change your own exhaust...
😏👍 I'm glad to see a woman who knows her way around the garage.
🤣🤣🤣 Thank you 🙏
Best teacher ever👍👍🙏👌😁
LOL Thank you! ☺️ 🧡
@@Aisha_LadyBuilt your welcome. Any plans on any new videos soon?
Do you grease the end links and lube the sway bar bushings?
I have the exact same setup as you do and after installing I got clunking / metal-resting noises from the rear.
That looks pretty nice.
Thank you
Good to see you....... Seems like long time haven't seen your video
Thank you. Yes, its been a while since I uploaded a new video.
This looks so hard ! Wow !
It's not hard at all 😊 If I can do it, I'm sure you can too!
@@Aisha_LadyBuilt no I ment looks hard as in looks fucking cool my bad LOL .
will this improve the rebound on the suspension
Thank's very helpful vid!
So cool!
Thank you!
great video..!! You need to do parts install on various of parts..!! So detailed...!
Thank you!
Nice work sunshine! It been a while since your last video. I hope the next one it will be at the track.
Thank you! It has been a while! I'm working on footage of the track. I just got some slicks, so hopefully I can make it out to the track soon :)
I know you will do a awesome job when you go. Good luck!
Está hembra parceros es la más calidosa trabajando en perfeccionar su vehículo... veo sus vídeos y me hace extrañar tanto mi 99 Ek Hatch... muy dura muy dura...
Good job
Dope
Hey it's been awhile you have some good videos.
Yes it has be a while! Thank you!
Hardrace is the best price to quality brand out there!!!!! so many people fall for the polyurethane Energy suspension kits... but hardrace keeps the traditional "tortional rubber" design and its DYNAMITE!!!! 👍👍
I have lots of HardRace suspension parts on my car. They're quality parts, and I've never had an issue with them.
Its advertised 150% stronger than oem rubber, i think the trailing arm bushings are 250% stronger!!! my b17vtec wagovan rides like BUTTER dropped 2.5" on bumpy massachusettes roads!!!
wow.............looks easy.
It is pretty easy :)
How much for the asr subframe with beaks bar? Would u ship to Massachusetts?
La demonio de la mecanica 💪😈
lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣🙏
Great job lady! =)
Thank you! ☺️
@@Aisha_LadyBuilt You're welcome love.
What was the pound of torque you used?
Nice tutorial 😆
Thank you!
A bit late but just for the future, fully tighten your lower control arm bolts only when it's loaded. Your bushings will thank you for it.
Thank you! You are correct, that is the procedure for normal bushings, but I have spherical bushings so I can get away with tightening with no load. I should have mentioned in in the video, but I wasn't thinking about it at the time I was editing.
@@Aisha_LadyBuilt Spherical bearings, awesome! don't mind me then :) Really enjoy your vids! Very informative and clear. Keep it up :D
Ask a question Which is better of both brace installed ARS or the new one sway bar and brace ?
difference between the two setup ?
MIT products is awesome!
Tech question Ms. Aisha, I currently have the skunk2 rear lca for my '99 EK 4dr. and I'm interested in the ASR neochrome subframe to match the rear lca however I'm currently making over 400whp and I wanted to first ask what made you decide to change up the subframe? Was it due to the swaybar you installed on this video being inadequate to the ASR subframe? Or is it because of the increase in power your motor's making currently to give increased handling and drivability?
The Hardrace swaybar and subframe brace come as a kit, so I used everything from the kit. The swaybar could have worked with the ASR subframe brace, but I prefer to have matching parts.
Nice sis, im plan to get em1 for right handed drive wish me luck
Thank you! Good luck to you!
Nice vid ,You should make a review video on how the ride feels now with the sway bar installed I been thinking of getting it for my EF but can’t justify spending the money for something I don’t think would improve handling...follow up vid plz 🔥🚗
Good idea! I still have not moved the position of the end link to the stiffer setting. Maybe when I move it I'll make an update video. Thank you!
I have my sway bar off now and it feels like a boat in the sea when cornering while with it on, the ride feels like it is solid and handles corners like a champion. Keeps flat.
Did you not grease the d bracket bushings or do they not require it? Been a drought for a hard min, glad your car is still in great condition
No I didn't grease the bushings, I've never heard of them needing to be greased. Lol yea it's been a minute, but hopefully I'll be back with more content soon. Thank you!
Great vid. How did it perform? Good looking kit. Simpler than the Beaks.
Thank you! I can feel a difference, but I'm going to change the hole on the swaybar to the more aggressive one to see what difference that makes. The Beaks is just a tie bar, this is a sway bar, so it basically connects the LCAs to connect both sides of the suspension together so they sort of move as one.
Never seen a snap on ratchet like that, got different ones but gonna have to check that one out
Its a Harbor Freight ratchet :)
Gotta threw me off seeing that red and black handle
Thq for this
Thank you for watching :)
I love turbo🔰🚘
Would you sell the asr subframe brace? Only cuz I have the asr rear control arms lolz
Niceeeeeee👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
What you think best sway bars work better front n back on a 00 civic ex coupe
The HardRace rear and Blox 26mm front is what I am running right now. I'd figure it would be similar on a coupe. I feel that this is the best combination of what's available on the market currently.
Sway bar - subframe brace - subframe. I hear stories about tear-outs of sway bars if not using subframe brace, but at the end of the day the car's subframe is carrying more weight and therefor more stress particular at the bolt holes (which is where the tear-outs usually are). Is it then fair to say, the 'security' of the overall system depends on the car's subframe and not the subframe brace?
Im a Newbie ask there is two different subframe ? The one already installed ARS that sub frame brace... The new one Sway bar with sub frame hardrace .... I which is better .... In stock only install sway bar as stock
Great.... 😉
Thank you 🙏
thanks a lot!
Thank you for watching!
Does the rear swaybar make the car feel more neutral on turn in? How does it rotate in corner entry?
I haven't been on any roads to really test out the cornering, but basic driving I can feel a difference in the way the car leans (roll).
If I installed rear sway bar, why do I also need to install front and rear bar? It's just for a Corolla daily drive car
I love how shes using them harborfreight ratchets hehe 😉 i got those too
I love that Harbor Freight ratchet! I need the extending ratchet for the extra leverage lol
I feel you 100% on that. Makes a huge difference 💪😎
Would be sick if we were neighbors so i could barrow your whole garage 😂
🙌🏼🧡🏁🍊®️🐝🎓 The Queen @Aisha_LadyBuilt , me encanta tus videos
Hopefully I remember this vid when I install a swaybar on the rear
LOL! Save it to a playlist of videos to remember 🤣
@@Aisha_LadyBuilt lol good idea, saved
Hello, the end links need to be adjustable? What are the advantages that come from them?
The adjustable links make it easier to achieve the best alignment of the link to the lower control arm.
is it necessary to preload before tighten the LCA bolt?
My lower control arms have spherical bushings, so I don't have to preload mine, but you are correct. If someone has normal bushings in their LCAs then they should tighten the bolts with the wheels on the ground. Thank you, I should have put that in the video as a note.
I wonder why is the lower control arm not pushed to the ground by the suspension spring when the bolt is not in? I mean the spring is not completely without preload when the car is lifted. The control arm should fall down.
Greetings for you from Iraq
Greetings to you!
where’s the grease for the sway bar bushings
What front sway bar do you have? And does it help coincide with the rear one
I have the Blox 26mm front sway bar. And for our civics the front should be a larger sway bar than the rear. So yes, this combination of 24.5mm in the rear and 26mm in the front works for me.

Any video on a front sway bar install coming soon?
Unfortunately I installed it in a rush so I could drive the car and I didn't record the process ☹️😭 so sad I didn't record! Sorry
Don't need to install front and rear .
Front wheel drive cars are very often understeering,so a rear sway bar only is better to get a more neutral behaviour.
You tune your chassis according to your need.
Same for tires, you should get wider on front and thinner on rear to balance grip.
There is often a front swaybar on rear wheel drive cars, and nothing at the rear to get a slightly understeering car, wich peoples without experience can control more easily.
Nearly everything or everything you said is wrong, only a full drag fwd setup needs wider tyres in front and skinny tyres in the back, her car is still a full street car that she takes to the track, a drag track to be more specific, skinnies on the back feel or are very sketchy on track farless for the streets, why do you think circuit track cars have wider tyres on the front and back, its because you need traction on all tyres , the sway bars will help her in every way especially on the streets , there's no disadvantage of putting on upgraded sway bars on your street car or any car as a matter of fact, sorry to say but you clearly don't know what you're talking about and you're making yourself look stupid
Notice how they managed to state their opinion without bein shitty though? You’re the only one hurlin insults. Check yourself.
correct me if i'm misunderstood but shouldn't you pre-tension while tightening by having a jack under your wheel to give it the illusion that the car is lowered down and there is the weight of the car on the sway bar? Not an expert by any means just trying to keep you safe, i could be wrong tho
You are correct, however, my lower control arms have spherical bushings, so I don't need to preload mine. If someone has normal bushings in their LCAs then they should tighten the bolts with the wheels on the ground or like you said jacking up the wheel. I forgot about that when I was editing the video. Thank you!
Awesome video and it turns out to pure sickness ☆
Thank you!
@@Aisha_LadyBuilt your welcome
We miss you come back
Hopefully I'll be back more often :)
Is there a chance you can give it to me all of your stock parts 😂😅 so i can refresh my honda civic VTi 🔥 more power cus.
LCA 3 holes are for different rate of stiffness.
The outer hole is the stiffer setting.
And these bushings need some lube before installing.
But great video..
Thank you! Really? I'm no expert, but to my knowledge, you want to have the end link sit close to a 90 degree angle and if it goes into another one of the lca holes it will not sit close to the 90 degree angle. I thought that the stiffness adjustment is made at the holes on the swaybar itself.
@@Aisha_LadyBuilt yeah the 3 holes are different levels of stiffness same as some bars have adjustment holes too.
On the bar from the end to the inner is soft medium and hard.
Some people need more adjustment positions because they are extremely picky and they can feel little differences.
Like myself.
The degrees doesn't matter. The laverage does all the job.
Y use to race rally since I was 12 years old so I have experience on all these type of things.
When I was 15 I use to race baja style.
Now im into time attack.
Thanks
Glad to see a girl in the game with a good head on her shoulders
Thank you 🙏
You better go head girl you are truly a boss chick
Niceeeee
Thank you!
Where i can get that longest bolts!!?
The bolts come with the kit when you purchase :)
You should install a big turbo
Great video very helpful my sway bar is so loose it could be moved side to side not suppose to do that but electrical tape works wonders #justsendit
🤣 "#justsendit" LOL .. Thank you!
Any specific reason on why you switched?
I didn't have a swaybar before, I only had the subframe brace. The Hardrace swaybar and subframe brace come as a kit, so I used everything from the kit because I prefer to have matching parts.
👍🏾👍🏾
i checked the links you used.. i used the same but have hard race lower control arms as well and the links just aren't meeting up properly
I'll be honest, I ended up using Blox adjustable links as they were a little easier and more adjustable.
@@Aisha_LadyBuilt thank you heaps !

That's kind of weird they didn't give you bushing butter to go with the bushings.
Apparently its not needed.
