  • Today we install a rear sway bar and subframe brace from Progress Tech on our 97 honda civic project car! We walk through the install step by step to make sure it's done right! I cannot wait to test it out! The process will be very similar on all 90's civic, del sol, integra, prelude models.
    Here is where I bought it:

    Wow. You make this look so easy. The rear sway bat makes a difference, i installed a TRD one on my Gen 3 Prius and i gotten so much confidence from it. Will love to feel what it does to my civic!

    I like it nice setup man. I had a hard time deciding between the progress setup and the setup I went with. Function 7 brace and lcas and asr 24mm with spherical end links. Your gonna notice a difference. Always great content guys.

      Done a lot of chassis work and suspension work, big brakes to make it as competitive as I can on the track. With air walker preface lift front end and sir fenders and bumper it's a 97 hatch. Plus tons of other stuff but you'd laugh only thing I haven't changed is the original d16y7 still in it. Take care man keep pushing

    Hey man love the video, what front sway bar are u running, and how to u like the rear so far?

    • @kraftingkars
      @kraftingkars  Год назад +1

      Loving the rear sway bar, I am not running a front sway bar. Since I have a tubular subframe I'm gonna have to make something custom

    How much the sway arms for sedans cars

  • @marcusf4940
    @marcusf4940 Год назад +1

    So truhart also sells a rear tie bar that goes in the middle. Would that fit with the progress sway bar? If yes is it necessary

    • @kraftingkars
      @kraftingkars  Год назад

      It shouldn't be necessary since the progress sway bar comes with that built in subframe brace that the bar bolts onto.

    Question can you use oem rear lower control arms with this kit?

    • @kraftingkars
      @kraftingkars  7 месяцев назад +1

      Yes you can, check your car but there should be one pre drilled hole in each arm

  • @eliasplayyzz6973
    @eliasplayyzz6973 Год назад +1

    How man idk if you will see this but i have skunk2 lower control arms with 2 holes in them for a sway bar. Would there be a difference if i put the sway bar links in the inner holes rather than the outside ones?

    • @kraftingkars
      @kraftingkars  Год назад +1

      Yep, it changes the stiffness slightly, the best way to tell would be road testing.

      I have 3 holes on my lca’s if I mount my end links to the holes closer to the subframe will it make it stiffer or looser

      I’ve only seen them on older civic applications looks like they are connected with the sway bar but haven’t seen them in any kits

      They are lower control arms! These are Truhart LCA's (lower control arms)

    Do you have bags? Do you know if this sway Bar will work with bags

    • @kraftingkars
      @kraftingkars  Год назад +1

      I am not running bags, it should work just fine though, sway bars minimize the difference in travel between both lca's, when airing up/down both lca's should be moving the same amount at the same time so it should be ok

      My LCA's are made by TruHart

    • @kraftingkars
      @kraftingkars  Год назад +1

      But the install would be the same with OEM LCA's you just have one hole instead of 5 to choose to mount your end links too
